not exactly Doctor Who related - I've made the Martian spaceship from Quatermas - the Pit, but I've always thought it would make a very good Dalek ship - it has that look about it.   I'm going to try printing it.   I'll share a photo if it works.

IFor anyone about to say that's mot how the ship looked, this is from a British TV version, one that predated the more wider remembered movie.

Me?  I'm returning to my earliest stomping grounds, Renderosity.  At the moment, I;ve transferred only 2 items I originally had ar ShareCG, the 1953 George Pal "War of the Worlds" war nachine and Martian, but I intend to upload some other items like the "Space: 1999" soace helmet, air tank and chest box.  ShareCG spoiled me because the content was available to the artists mere moments afterr it was uploaded.  With Rendo' it passes through a "review" stage that can take around 3 days.  If one needs to update some aspect, say, a missing texture, that's another 2 to 3 dasy delay, at least in my case.

Nightkin, any particular reason you prefer attaching images in .PNG format?  I recall you've had problems trying to present images with larger dimensions.  Uh, if you were to switch to .JPG, you could offer much bigger pictures yet consuming far less disk space.

Ah BBC costume department at it;'s best. Wonder where they got the idea for the body? Probably put arms onto it to make it slightly less obvious.

Redfern said:Habit i guess.  I create a few  alpha textures, and I prefer png format for my PBR textures (jpeg cant support layers), so I have GIM P set at png by default.  I cant be arsed to keep switching from one format to another., so i usually set everything to png.
