    Soonest!

...thanks.  Unsfortunately feel like rubbish today as I also didn't sleep well.

You should break that contract! enlightened

...there's a clause somewhere in all the fine print (that is so small even with my glasses I can't read it) that apparently keeps me bound to it for an indefinite amount of time.  Though the firm of Curry and Rice tends to have a very high success rate in such cases so going to consult them tonight.

    freaky

i get a lottt of spam calls, rolling caller numbers mostly the same message about lowering my electricity bill.  i'm in the habit now of not saying anything til i recognize a voice on the other end. i let spam calls play the whole message, they always disconnect in under 60 seconds.  no use blocking the number, it not usually the same number twice.

so just now i received a call asking me if i would like to accept collect charges from a name i recognized as my neighbor's son who is in jail, his 2nd stint.
i never gave this guy my number.  after a couple of unanswered hello the 'collector' hung up.
    wth?

I hope you didn't say "Yes!"  There's a scam going around, if you are asked something and you say "Yes," they somehow use that as proof that you agreed to something...with a voice print that is yours.  I wouldn't have even answered the phone in this case.

    ...thanks, not spicy enough though.

I really miss the little Mom & Pop Thai Curry place in the old neighbourhood.  9.50$ would get me a big tub of really good sinus clearing curry and big carton of rice, enough for two meals.  Sadly none of the in town independent delivery services have a contract with them and it's at least an hour long trip on transit to get there which includes transferring to a bus that gets extremely crowded at this time of day (something I am definitely not up to enduring the way I feel).

Passed through there on the way home Sunday and noticed the foodie cart pod I used patronise was gone.  Apparently the property owner decided to yank the lease (the pod operators had 2 more years to go) and sell it to developers who plan to build yet another one of those ugly multi story overpriced apartment buildings.  That particular cart pod drew people from all over the city and was rated the best foodie cart site in town. It even had a wood fired pizza vendor (12" sausage pizza for around 10$), an excellent udon cart, and a covered beer garden.  Many a time when I'd get home to find the kitchen a total disaster, that is where I would head to get dinner.

Big loss for the old 'hood as most of the other dining options on the street (save for that little Thai place) are overpriced for what you get.  crying

...may wrap myself up a bit later (a lot chillier than yesterday but at least no water from the sky) and take the streetcar to one place about a half mile away that is pretty good, and get some take out.  12$ for chicken curry with rice + 1.25$ for the round trip fare is better than 30 - 40$ to have it delivered.  Need to wait until the PM commute crush is over though .

And Massachusetts.  However, they're still playing political games about the rules for the shops.  It's odd...you can posess an ounce, you can smoke it, give some as a gift to someone, you can even grow small amounts inside your residence, but there are no legal sources from which to obtain it.  Very odd.  They're driving people towards the drug dealers...fighting the whole purpose of passing the law.  At least nobody is getting arrested for possession anymore.  It's just plain odd, though.

...we actually have less of those than Starbucks.

Where I now live there are more Starbucks per square mile than any other outlets sometimes within only a couple blocks of one another but once you are out of  the city centre proper their frequency drops.  Division Street where I lived off previously of had not a one along almost its entire length form MLK by the River to way out in "the numbers" as we call it (past Hwy 205), but in the span between 20th and 45th Aves, there are something five dispensaries either on the main street or just off it.

...well bundled up and braved the outside to go down the the chemists for a box of Theraflu.  That is about the only OTC med that really works for me.  Wasn't so much worried about the cold though as the fact I am really in a fog with this stuffy head and there is so much traffic to watch our for in this area.

Never made it to the curry place as I laid down again for a while and it turned out to be a couple three hours. Also would have been about 15$ minimum with tip and not sure if there was a "to go charge" either (some places add an extra 1$ or so for that).  Once I get over this I'll make up a big pot as preventive medication and leave one portion in the freezer for emergencies.

Holly is normally propogated by what are called Hardwood cuttings, and it won't be as easy as the way you got a 2nd basil plant.  And it will take several years for the holly bush to get to any reasonable size.

Some instructions can be found around the net, like this    https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/shrubs/holly/holly-cuttings.htm

It was a bit unusual for UK weather.   Ireland copped the worst hits but luckily my son came through it fine. The apocalyptic skies were a bit eery on Monday morning.
