I *THINK* all my stuff is fixed now. When I first deleted the existing database, I also deleted the folder it was contained in. I'm not certain, but there's evidence to suggest that this is why it didn't work quite right the second time around. Third time's the charm? So far? Maybe it will stay that way? *fingers crossed*

Mentioned earlier, there is a Start and Stop icons in your Start Menu>All Programs>DAZ 3D>DAZ Content Management Service

    OK!

I Started Content Management and now I'm Re Importing the MetaData.

Just a note if you see missing product icons in Smart Content. What I'm finding is in the metadata .dsx file in Runtime\Support there is a line that points to the products' .dsx file name. I'm finding 9 times out of 10 there is either a typo in the .dsx file name, or the path to the .dsx file is wrong. If you fix it in a text editor, save and re-import the metadata the icons will show up.

  • Okay, it sounds like there are several different problems people are having.

If you have some Smart Content and Categories but can't add anything new, that sounds like database corruption. In DS4.5 you can export User Data to save your existing custom categories, then reset the database and reimport them.

If you have Smart Content but can't load anything from it, that could mean your content folders aren't defined correctly. If you go to Edit > Preferences > Content Library > Content Directory Manager, expand the "DS format" and "Poser format" sections, and post a screen shot, we can try to sort out the problem.

Fixing Daz studio format by editing my library path to non-default path I'm using fixed the issue, thanks alot
