Question about EULA and scripting

The EULA has a section that prohibits the re-distribution of mesh data from the products sold here at Daz3D. If I'm developing a script that directly references specific surfaces or bones, does that count as 'mesh data' as well?

IIRC, there was a simple pose converter freebie released a while back that directly referenced bone names, so it should be okay, right?

I'm not quite sure what you're doing..if you mean surfaces like "skin" and bones like "forearm"...you should be good.  that's generic reference.

The idea is you can't redistribute like the file that makes the forearm or the skin...so I can't take your thing and make my own skin or forearm.

Yes, I'm planning to use the generic reference :) Thank you!
