Urban Future 4 :Street Level 3Delight only?

So I'm finally using one of the urban sets and when using iray, I get flat buildings with no interiors. I assume the glass panes are 3delight only because when I switch to that rendering engine, it goes back to looking like the viewport.

 

I'm rendering the backgrounds with 3Delight and then with iray so I get the best of each.

I do love the speed of 3Delight though.

But so many of my props and vehicles look crazy- those must use MDL materials.

 

What to do?

    It is pre-Iray, yeah. You can try to manually convert surfaces, if you want, although I've found other older Stonemason sets (I don't have that one) look fine in Iray. There are usually tons of surfaces to select, at least.

    How about rendering the background (buildings) in 3delight, the rest in Iray?

    Cherpenbeck, That's what I'm doing.

    It works out anyway because I'm adding lots of people extras so it's post-composite all the way.

    Layers - lighting will be an issue but the style should be okay for the gaps in realism.
