Outfit fits differently on two figures-best way to fix bad figure?

Hi,

I noticed this problem on a few of my characters.  My guess is its because the creator of the body went a bit overboard with the chest settings and made it too well defined instead of rounded.

Renata is the one I am having troubles with and Cordia is fine.  Its not just the breast size from what i see but its also the definition of the side boob.  Cordia has a softer or gentler curved sideboob while Renatas is more defined, cut-in or abrupt.  I guess because that the other chest settings are just as abrupt which is leading to my issues with clothing.  The lifeguard uniform is just one of the pieces that i'm having the issue with Renata.  In the preview picture the fabric sits on the chest just like it would IRL.  The default G3F figure has the same look and so does the Cordia.  The Renata however has side and underboob that makes it look like clothes are painted on and in the cleavage area the clothes have a very sharp V facing inwards towards the chest.

So now i'm looking for the best way to fix this.  Just in case i decide to buy more figures and find the same problems.  I thought about exporting the clothes and taking them into Maya or Blender and manually moving every vert so that the clothes in the chest area sit more naturally and once done import it back into Daz.  But i dont know how the rig would react or if this would work if i plan to animate the clothes.  One thing i was thinking of was just using the Cordia or default G3F body and taking the Renata head/face and merging those in Maya/Blender.  But again i dont know if this will affect the rig for the body half that was replaced.  Or another option was to try and ask for a refund or stay away from this particular creators content.
