File Does Not Exist Error

Okay. I've seen this being discussed before, and have tried at least one of the solutions, but it didn't work

A lot of the more recent things I've installed, when I try to load them just by left-clicking on them in the Content Library or Smart Control, I get the infamous File Does Not Exist Error. Now I have gotten away with just rick-clicking and choosing Merge, but this is still tiresome. Any suggestions?
