is there a way to use hair color from one hair product on another both for G3 female?

Hello - is there a way to use the hair color from Jerry Hair for G3F (https://www.daz3d.com/jerry-hair-for-genesis-3-female-s) on TopModel updo hair (https://www.daz3d.com/downloader/customer/files#prod_35843) ?

I am using both for a series of renders for a story but the color options for Updo don't match the Jerry Hair close enough. I tried through the surfaces tab to use the Jerry Hair color jpg on the updo hair but that didnt seem to work. I see there are some hair shader products, but thought perhaps there was a ninja trick... I am trying to match the updo hair to Jerry Hair MDL Color 07. 

any suggestions/tricks would be most appreciated! thanks
