I want to know if you can just use the hooded cloak? I'd rather buy this product than just the hooded cloak. Same price ($2.50) but more clothing comes with.

The cloak comes with the outfit... you can load it separately.  So if you just want to use the cloak for one render you can.  Or if you want to render the outfit without the cloak you can do that to.

Removed the images as they were on the product pages anyway and were breaking the layout.

Are you familiar with the expression "penny wise and pound foolish"?

The cloak in Fantasy Thief is just "a" hooded cloak. The stand-alone hooded cloak is "The" hooded cloak. It has versions for every figure in the last ten years, from Genesis 3 (male and female) all the way back to G2, Genesis, Victoria/Michale/Stephanie 4, and Victoria/Michael/Stephanie/blah/blah 3. And it has over twice as many morphs as the Fantasy Thief cloak. But wait, there's more...

They all take the same textures, and there's well over 50 of those available, some of which are currently on sale for as low as $0.60. (Not to mention some great free morphs on ShareCG).

The only other cloak I own is Medieval Cloak, because it has a different cut, different closure, and a handful of available textures.
