I am currently in the market for a new monitor.

I would appreciate any ones input on which  monitor out there will give me nice bright crisp and solid colors that really pop off the screen...i know for a fact that i macs reproduce outstanding vivid sharp and bright colors...but sadly enaugh these babies are way out of my price range!.

 

 

 

I guess my real question is...is there a monitor out there that can more or less match the display quality of an imac?...or at least come a bit close?...

Or...on the other hand...which monitor is currently the one that can reproduce the best color range and brightness and sharpness and black levels...etc...etc...

 

 

In short...which one would you guys recommend out of experience?...

Monitor advice can be very controversial to be honest, cause every individual views screen quality differently.  Best to research varoius monitors on the market, ask questions about particular monitor model your interested in.  Sorry, couldn't be more help.

I have a friend that just got two of these (BL2711U) and they look amazing (he's a graphic designer). I have the 32 inch on my xmas list this year.

If you could give us an idea of what your price range might be, that would go a long way towards offering some advice. There would be little point in offering you alternatives that themselves would be outside your price range, remembering that you essentially get what you pay for when it comes to display quality.
