OT: Computer / Browser issue

Hi,

Seems when I click on a tab, click on another tab and the click on the former tab it closes and I have to use the "reopen closed tab" option to get it back.  This seems to be happening allot. I've run all the usual tools to see if I have bugs or what have you and everything is checking out fine.  I've tried disabling the Tab Mix Plus addon in Firefox but that's not it either.  Weird.  Seems I have strange behavior on my desktop too, you can almost see the split second "spasm" when I'm right clicking on something like the system is having an issue of some sort.  Not sure what else to do here but just keep working away and try to ignore it but when my tabs in Firefox started closing just by selecting them I thought I better post and ask if anyone had any thoughts.  Single click to close is not enabled so it's not that!

I don't know about FF, but in Chrome, middle mouse click will close a tab. I wonder if your mouse is beginning to go out and acting strangely?

Hmm, that's a thought but seems to work fine in programs with no hassle.

I was thinking a mouse problem too. AFAIR you have PC-Doctor, you could run a mouse test to see if it works allright.

Don't have PC doctor.  Today the issue seems ironed out so perhaps it was a glitch in one of the updates that Windows installed.  I'll keep an eye on things.  Thanks folks!

Could be due to multiple issues. Say, your right mouse button is constantly depressed (due faulty switch or driver/interrupt issue). So clicking left may simulate a middle click. This is how middle click was simulated fore some older mouse which did not have middle click button. I suggest retaining tab mix plus but make sure that middle click in tmp is not bound to anything (conversely, you may bind middle click to a different action as see if that gets triggered). Similarly in your system mouse settings see that there is no emulation for middle click or it is not bound to any action.
