OK I have teamed up with some old mates from Devildog Studios and we made a monster. “Res Mortifera” is a standalone character with 8K maps Color Normal and Displacement. Plus, the shaders are based on sub-surface scattering. In 3 colors, White Green and Purple. Built in hand and feet pose dials and basic facial movements, easy pose tail. This introduces a new vendor “White Fang” who has modeled on moves like “Kong: Skull Island” “Assassin's Creed” and “Rogue One” just a huge talent to work with.

This is a separate texture package, also with 8K maps new UVs. Done in substance Paint. There are 6 new textures presets base on an amazon tree frog skin. Plus 5 eye texture presets.
This is a separate poses and expressions package 15 poses in all plus facial expressions.
I still hope someone makes a mouth like that for Genesis 3, but this looks amazing! Well done to the both of you!
Are there shaping morphs to make it more slender? A less bulky option (more insect-like proportions) would be desirable if it's possible.
Looks like an expansion pack for swimming poses would be good in the future. :) That tail makes it look as if it could swim in a crocodile-like fashion.

Yes I like the mouth to, it's got that predator like about it. I only came in at the end for the rigging I had to make some structural changes to the mesh to make it more rigging friendly. So originally the default pose was with the arms down by it's side, so I had to get it into the traditional T-Pose so there wasn't time to get other FBM in. He's got an easy pose tail so just 3 dials on that which can be accessed from any part of the tail. I must admit I'm a bit rusty on the rigging as I've not done it for several years but hope to get back into it again. Vik is such a great modeler and texture artist he learned DS in only a few weeks, and did the SSS shaders so he did a fantastic job for the time he's been using DS.
Seems to be monster season with all those monsters coming out recently or within the next weeks. Looking forward to although I'm not that much into standalone figures. Would it be possible to adopt poses, props and such from G3M somehow?
To a degree you could use G3M poses but the bone structure is different in that it has a 2nd shin, plus a lot of G3M pose turn the limits off and you don't want to do that with this guy, as his anatomy is too bulky !

"White Fang" has said he's working on some addon to. Wings and armor I haven't seen them yet !
lately it feels like so many of you are catering to me and making stuff for me you know I want to buy with more coming I know of just had to have all this

8k maps? Is it only one map for the whole texture?
For the main character set, there are 3 maps for the body, head body and lower. However for the texture pack I redid the UVs to have one map take in all the body at once, I needed to do that so I could work easier in sudstance painter.
I *think* one 8k map is more vram friendly than say 3 2k maps, but I am not 100% sure lol. Dude looks sick for sure, lot of details in that guy.
Yes we had to experiment with the displacement maps till we got the right combo, on the texture expansion you can turn them off or on if you have trouble rendering.
Midnight_stories: Heh. Yeah, I finally got SP2 and I'm finding the old content I used to play with is a lot easier because they can all go on one surface.
If you want I can post the color ID map I used in SP2 !

I had to get this guy to play with, but I was a little worried at the 8k textures and that he's iray-only, so I did a little playing around. All of these use the purple skin and blue eyes from the base package.
#1 is straight out of the box, Iray render, stopped at about 2% after 6 mins.
#2 is with the texture shrinkry script used (from this thread), Iray render stopped at about 5% after 6 mins.
#3 is straight out of the box 3Delight render, with AoA's advanced lights (1 ambient @ 50%, 1 distant with shadow softness 15%).
#4 is a 3Delight render with the same lights as 3, with some shaders from https://www.daz3d.com/reflective-radiance-for-3delight applied to convert surfaces to 3Delight.

Unfortunately we didn't know what we were doing with 3Delight and just couldn't reproduce the Iray textures. I do all my textures in substance painter so it's more Iray based.
Is it possible to get a shot of the UVs? Are they UDIM?
