Dale by Saiyaness

Wow.

I'm about at the point with Saiyaness where her new male characters go into my cart without me even bothering to look at them first.  The skins are phenomenal.

I wish there was an anatomical element for Rhys, but I just re-read the product info and confirmed that he was designed as a teen, so that omission makes sense.

I agree, the product jumped into my cart in no time.

The promos are stunning. He's wishlisted for now. His face reminds me of an older version of Jordan Rudess.

Comes with mesh eyebrows, goatee and facial vellus. Well worth it.

I really like this character. Not a pretty boy ;). He's wishlisted for now - I went WAY overboard this month *sigh*.

  • With all the Witcher stuff, I was thinking about a suitable model for Leo Bonhart (from the books, and not the games). I think Dale's average/blankness could work.

Thanks, everyone! To be honest, he's doing better than I thought he would. :) Makes me happy! I love doing ordinary characters!

LOL, I don't consider him ordinary. If anything he has lots of character. I find that I tend to purchase more male characters with 'flaws and character" than female since I need my female characters to be more glamorous.

    Thanks for the Fibermesh options

    I love your username. :p

I've almost finished the book with Bonhart! He's a scary dude - but I like him!

Grrrrr!!! I had forotten to look at this first time out - but went back and looked.  And looked, jaw open, and finally had to buy!  Looks a great product!

Ha, I would say that my user name is creative except that it's borrowed. How we re-imagine characters from stories for our own stories would surely be the blurst of times.

Leo Bonhart is a Character I'd like to figure out. My reading wasn't the must detail oriented, but Bonhart's motivations are very curious. What he does and chooses not to do.

Your Dale can have that weathered look that I think Bonhart might have.

Check out some pictures of Dream Theater; someone in the band looks a lot like Dale, except for the beard...

And you don't seem to be afraid to do male characters, which is awesome ;).

Keep the "ordinary" characters coming and I'll be buying. 1,000 varieties of the glamour model does not spark my creativity.

    BTW, yes, just bought Dale.

    And Ceridwen.

I have to agree.  He looks like a great character and he did indeed jump into my cart today.  Keep up the great work!  :)

That model is tempting me to buy too...lol, I can't seem to manage a (almost) realistic render yet of an DAZ characters and maybe this one gives me a good chance.

I picked him up fast, myself. A bit surprised at the intense tan lines, but not unpleasantly so. I really like the look of him, though.

I keep thinking of him as Darwin instead of Dale because he looks like "old uncle Dar" one of my grandparents old farm hands and a long time friend of my father. ;) He'll probably be in my cart tomorrow - I guess that's today now, because I really want Ceridwen also, and buying them both gives me a better deal then waiting to buy them later. - That's my way of rationalizing my spending laugh

I wish you could reply to individual comments in a cleaner, neater way - like DeviantArt! :p

Thanks again, all! Again, I'm pretty chuffed.

That's why I show the lighting examples now so what you see is what you get. Nothing fancy here! :) Can you tell I use a lot of Dimension Theory lights? XD

The main promos with the white background are from Colm Jackson's HDRI Render Studio set. (I can never remember the proper name off the top of my head...)

Except for 3Delight...I couldn't get him to look good in 3Delight though. It's like I've forgotten how to use it. :p

I always leave tan lines! Dale clearly isn't big on sun safety and he should be with his skin type! Tsk tsk! :p

    Thank you!

  • @Saiyaness he's another great character but got a slight problem with another just finally got around to looking at Abel loaded from the smart menu his morphs don't work tried updating meta and installing reinstalling yes have aging morphs btw anyway I went into the other shaping tab in parameters section found the body dial but couldn't locate the shaping dial for head only appeared when typed his name in search so I've worked out how to get him but thought let you know

Thank you another really awesome character wonderfully detailed.

    Just a quick first render.

Could someone post a render of the showing vellus hair? I wonder whether this product or the other product made specifically to emulate the look of vellus hair is better?

The vellus hair isn't actually fibre hair is it? That's alot of fibre hair to load even with 16GB RAM.

Thanks very much. It seems I can use it both on the males and females although I'm not an expert on human hair distributions and their variances. laugh Although I'm not sure if I need to use SloshWerk's Genesis 3 UV Swapper or the DAZ 3D Genesis 3 Cross-Figure ort just the built-in autofit. At any rate, it's quick enough to try harmlessly.
