Allowing googleadservices.com in NoScript isn't needed, only DAZ, ayax and analytics.
@Takeo.Kansei: Thanks for the suggestions, but backdating FireFox and NoScript is not exactly an ideal situation. Older versions are usually less secure against whatever latest threats are out there. To me it seems odd that we have to jump through those hoops because DAZ's site is broken.
@Tim N and @Frank: Both Google's Ad Services and Google's Analytics are tracking and marketing tools. Enabling Google to track my use of DAZ's site in order to more exactly target ads goes against my grain. That information is also likely sold to other companies for who knows what use. Basically, I try to keep my digital shadow as small as possible.
@Andresen: Thanks for the insight, at least it appears that DAZ is working on their problem, if I'm reading your post correctly?
That's the other thing which is uncomfortable about this situation -- zero official communication from DAZ.
Not even a quick "We're aware of the problem and are working on it" kind of post. I understand not wanting to make any promises about when it might be fixed, but at least some message would provide a bit of reassurance.
@Andresen:
The catch statement has been there before, they did not add it to fix this bug.
Thing is, like we both pointed out, the catch statement is pointless because the assignment within the try statement will not trigger an exception, because it actually does work at this point. It just does not return the value that is expected and then that value is used without further checks, which then throws an exception (where there is no try/catch anymore), which breaks any follow-up scripts. Very easy to fix actually... *sighs*
Here's a GreaseMonkey script that fixes the issue for FireFox:
http://pastebin.com/1PLZ15Hi
It does what I said before, check doorNumber for actually being a number and if it is not, it will be set to the default value of 0.
Have fun! :)
Edit: added HTTPS
I too was having trouble with Fire Fox and DAZ3D using noscript. And of course the trouble is with what is allowed in noscript not Fire Fox. I opened the site up in EDGE and it worked great. Since I am not logged in to Google with edge Google does not use my browsing to target ads. However if I go to youtube in EDGE even not logged in, I get loads of DAZ3D ads and for me that is cool. Considering I am interested in DAZ3D more than Tylenol or diapers I consider that a bonus. But it resets after I close it so back to stuid ads.
But it does not affect my Fire fox. I only use edge for sites I know and trust.
Meh, if Daz wants me as a customer, THEY have to cater to ME, not the other way around
Not interested in jumping through hoops or compromizing my privacy to get it to work.
Which is what I try to do. At the moment it is necessary for a working DAZ-site to allow analytics and disable ad-blocker. And I don't like this. (With my posting I wanted only to say that adservices are not necessary; every site blocked is a good site :) )
While the GA plug-in is on Google's side, the implementation of the variations is on Daz's side, and part of their page code, so it's something they need to fix. Every site handles this part of the code in their own way. Mork and others did a good job sussing this out. There's no telling if/when Google will handle the return type to at least always be 0. Sometimes these cross-platform/plugin-specific glitches take them a while to address.
Same problem here and I'm sure not gonna allow google analytics just for Daz site. I used Edge for the last couple of days hoping for a fix, but if this is not going to happen, Daz will lose many future sales from me when store credit is used up.
And think about those existing or potential new customers who visit the site and find almost nothing works ? No login possible, no sign-up, just spinning images, etc. You really think they come back again and again if they don't go to forums to search for a solution ? That would be naive..
Chiming in on this: I refuse to be forced to allow GA just to use a website, especially when it's been identified as a coding error on the site itself *and* a solution is handed to you on a silver platter.
Site stopped working on me in FF 51 and now 52, forced to use IE just to get in and use the shop or access my account (but still unable to comment on the forums despite it seeing me as signed in). I had to use the greasemonkey script to just be able to post this here, because even on a clean IE without any plugins, it's broken.
I just paid for an extension on my PC+, and I am regretting it now. I will be using the script for as long as this PC+ lasts, but if it's still broken after that, it's goodbye again. Fix your stuff.
uBlock Origin seems to be playing a part on my browser as well as noscript e.g. wish ist wont load, main menu broken. Turning uBlock off and allowing stuff in noscript corrects it, which is not ideal.
I'm not allowing it; i was but decided that i don't like allowing it. I currently can't purchase.
If i have to - something looks interesting, I'll buy it in a rarely used browser (not IE /shudder).
Same issue with the store here. Using the advanced options in UBlock to allow those google items seems to have fixed it--though I was also having issues with adding items to the cart. If I opened the page directly from one of the the March Madness banner pages, I could click on "add to cart" many times, nothing happened. Open the same item from the main shop page, click on "add to cart" and it worked immediately. Between the Grease Monkey script referenced above and advanced options in UBlock, this issue seems to be resolved. I use a combination of Ublock, NoScript, Ghostery, Flashblock, and Firefox's internal tracking protection (not on by default, have to turn it on in the about:config page). I had to turn off the Firefox internal tracking protection for the store, allow the google items in UBlock and NoScript (temporarily as I refuse to allow them globally), trust the store in Flashblock, and trust the store in Ghostery for everything to play nice again. After nearly getting infected twice from advertisements (thankfully, Microsoft Security Essentials caught it both times), I don't allow advertisements. I don't mind donating to places I visit often to make up the difference, but I refuse to open my workstation to infections just so I can have "targeted" ads.
The add to cart issue is different - the site is being moved to https throughout, instead of plain http for some pages and https for others, and that means some routes to product pages don't currently work correctly.
Richard, thanks for the update. I was getting a bit frustrated with that as I couldn't get anything into the cart no matter what I tried initially--including turning off everything I had on in the way of protection. Thanks, again.
Updated the GreaseMonkey script. Fixes the recursion that suddenly popped up.

None of the store icons are working for me... I'm getting an error... 404 Not Found. This applies to ALL store icons (not the larger top ones, but all smaller ones), including those on search pages... Or store page.
What ever issues you're having guys, please fix this... This hurts sales A LOT for all PA's and DAZ itself...
I am also getting 404 errors, and this is on both Opera and Firefox.
When it comes to FF, I have Ghostery, but I also set DAZ site as "trusted", so it loads all (trackers, *grumble*, included).
However -- I also have DNT, aka Do Not Track in browser enabled by default, because I do not want every site hound me across the planet. And that seems to fire up a load of complaints, too.
Edit: And turning it off is still not fixing the situation, either. Console is notifying that there's a) mixed, unsafely transferred content (http instead of https; see the attached pic) and b) error (see the last line in attached picture).
I noticed that some of the product pages give me "404 not found" page when I'm logged in, but if I log out they work (tested this with Chrome, Firefox and Edge).
I have Firefox 58.0.02 64 bit. I only have 2 add-ons, Adblock Plus and DAZ DEALS, both of which I disabled. Deleted cookies and History, rebooted, and many of the new items today get the 404 Not Found - of course, one I am interested in loking at for purchase.
I don't even know what google analytics is, where it is, if I do or do not have it.
Ditto! Didn't this thing happen before too, or do I misremember?
The 404 errors are something Daz is aware of and trying to fix.
...still running 56.0.2 and no issues here. May be some kind of incompatibility with the latest edition and Daz store software. This is part of the reason I don't update immediately after a new version is released.
OMG - same thing with me!! If I log out I can see the page - once I log back in I got the 404 error!
LOL so DAZ is forcing me not to shop here.
This is pretty clearly a problem at DAZ's end now (logged in user vs not logged in user). Google analytics is a script fed from an external service, and it is not something you have it in your system. FYI, this is also happening at the related items and even vendor sale pages!
It is not -- I'm also using much, much older version of Opera that has worked just fine before, and now it isn't.
...interesting. I'll keep an eye on this. Usually when I update before the bugs are wrung out in a new release is when I get issues.
Here's some stuff that's throwing 404 when I'm logged in, a quick sampler:
https://www.daz3d.com/da-unicorn-for-daz-horse-2 (from DesignAnvil's vendor page)
https://www.daz3d.com/da-foal-and-poses-for-daz-horse-2
https://www.daz3d.com/bradbury-suspended-rail-system
https://www.daz3d.com/short-beard-for-genesis (from "related" sale from the bottom)
I have exact same results as you. Of course, when I log out, all the pages come up perfectly.
