I've seen a few youtube videos where people have somehow managed to re arrange the Content Library pane so that the file directory structure is actally ABOVE the directory content (asset icons), and expands horizontally instead of vertically.

 

I have tried dragging the resize bars around, but can't seem to get it to do anything but the default (two vertical columns) layout.

 

Any ideas?

    Open the Content Library pane's option menu, by clicking the lined button in the top corner or by right-clicking the tab, and select View as Tree or View as List

    Ah cool thanks! Didn't know you could right click the tab itself to get more options
