Most of the time, it's whatever music folder I open. Lately, though, the music's overshadowed by the sounds of dogs heavily panting, because of the heatwave that we're having. Every now and then, one will remind me that I need a break, by walking up to the desk and putting his foot on the keyboard. I'm now in the habit of saving scenes quite frequently - if I'm not quick enough or not paying attention, he can cause a bit of daz chaos.
...no animals, cats (which they also have) or dogs allowed in the room when I'm working on a project. Bad enough my joint and bone issues make me clumsy enough the way it is. Earlier today accidently clicked on the when I shouldn't have and messed up my workstation's desktop.
Wish I could help you get blue tooth headphones but I am on a search of my own too.
...yeah I've seen a few for around 50$. Heading out for a while as it's a rare nice afternoon and the the "yap quotient" here has been increasing over the last hour making it difficult to stay focused.
I'm hard of hearing so I find that I sometimes turn the volume up so loud that it's likely to disturb the people in the other apartment at night. To resolve this I turned to my headphones. First I used my set of nice wired headphones that I had from 20 years ago. The sound was great but the cord was inconvenient.
Then I tried a pair of AR brand, FM technology wireless headphones that I bought about 15 years ago. It was a nice quality set that I got at discount for about $60 many years ago. The sound was good but they were a pain to use because I had to frequently fiddle with the FM tuning dial on the headset to get a clear signal from the base transmitter. And there was a continual background hiss too.
Then when after 12 or 13 years the leatherette covering on the foam earpads broke up and flaked off I decided I needed new headphones.
I shopped for quite a while and waited for a good discount to show up on Newegg.com. Finally about a year ago they had a good sale on a decent quality digital technology wireless over-the-ear headphones (Sennheiser RS-170) that were going out of production as a newer model took its place. Not cheap (about $140 on sale), but they were well worth the price. Wonderful quality sound, zero hiss, absolute quietude when there is no music signal, they're comfortable, keep out much of the ambient room noise, are not hot on the ears, they're light, and have replaceable earpad assemblies, but I did buy an extra pair of earpads just in case the headphones outlast the earpads. Very very happy with it. It uses rechargeable AAA Ni-MH batteries, 1 in each earpiece. I can't say they're top notch quality all the way up the audio spectrum but my old ears can't hear anything above 8000 or 9000 Hz anyway, but they do have both a "bass boost" and a "surround sound" mode that are very nice. And there is no frequency drift re-tuning problem to deal with either.
The newer model (RS-175) has bigger controls in a different spot on the earpieces which is my only complaint with the 170's, on which the tiny little controls are a little bit difficult to distinguish with big fingers, and the "OFF" button is right next to the VOLUME button

Abba, George Michael, 80's hits in general, prince...............Parliament Funkadelic, George Clinton, James Brown...............N.W.A., Slayer......... Some classical. I guess the mood dictates the sound.
Mostly children trying to kill each other. Sometimes tractors and very loud cars. Chickens (mostly roosters) and a cat whining for stuff even though I fed him ten minutes ago. Sometimes kids fill in for cat, or join in.
Alway have music in the background. The genre changes depending on what type of image I am working on.
I go to great lengths to avoid distractions, whatever project I am working on. For Daz work, my background is usually moonlight with crickets, frogs, and roosters in the background and an occasional cat asleep in my lap.
When I was a young man, The only thing in the background was a man with a shotgun saying , Boy, Your going to marry this girl.
For me, it's always music. I tend to listen to SomaFM's "Lush" on my internet radio (I can get it through my Alexa app too for my Echo but it takes a bit to get the app to understand that request). I love that station, it's calming but inspirational. I'll never understand how folks can listen to acid rock or what ever. LOL

while I like hard rock in my car it's usually Trance or future bass youtube videos on the PC doing 3D
I listen to music whilie working
oh yeah that too
it does sort of read like the hard rock is hitting my windscreen while I sit in a trance by my PC
Right now I am trying to watch my two new guppies while searching how to fix the opengl problem.
Mostly just self loathing and existential dread.
LOL!!! Oh yeah, I forgot about that...
Generally I've already got an idea of what I'm wanting to do a render of. I usually will try to put on a playlist that helps me get into the mood I want the piece to express.
