Edit items before the render?

I am a bit confused. Sometimes I load an item in DS, and it might be made up from a number of separate items.

I know I can edit by deleating one item, part, at a time..... but what if I want to delete everything in my DS screen and load, for example, a different setting?

How do I do that?

I'm not sure I understand what you are after, but you can clear everything and start fresh with File>New. You can also select multiple items in the Scene pane by holding down the CTRL key. Then you can delete them all at once.

Edit: It is File>New, not New Scene.

Thank you, that is exactly what I needed to know. Yes, sometimes I want to clear everything.
