grouping hair styles

I'm looking at some story telling and it would be useful to have characters with plausibly different hair styles. Has anyone put together clusters of hair models that might be considered to be the same with normal variations a person might have without a dramatic new haircut? As an example are there OOT styles that are Everyday Updo when it is taken down?

Actually you can do this yourself as Richard Haseltine pointed out in the other thread:
'...I just wish there was some way of getting rid of the few long "flyaways" at the front and sides (of the hair).
Have you tried using the Geometry Editor tool to assign them to a new Surface group and then set them transparent?'

I plan to mix a couple of different hair items, make some part of them transparent, then put two or more of them on the same character
and apply some shaders from for example http://www.daz3d.com/idg-iray-hair-essentials-shaders
Oh, that's a good one...using the geometry editor. I haven't been by that thread in a bit so missed that tip.
http://www.daz3d.com/uht-hair-shaders-for-iray also work well. I have both this set and the set Artini pointed out. They are both good...which one looks best is often dependant on the lighting you choose for your scene. I think OOT has an iray hair color shader set at another store although I haven't tried that set so can't give a review on that. I would recommend that you grab at least one of these shader sets. Full Price they are all pretty close in price range.
great idea!
