i seen these chipmunks in the yard. always in a hurry running from one end of the yard to the other.  i leave trailmix out for them but the bluejays take em.  and they take every last bit, won't even leave a raisin for the chipmunksters

...well found a solution.  Turns out I can use my phone as a mobile hotspot and use the wireless connection on the computer instead.

Unless you have an unlimited data plan on your phone, be very careful with using it as a hotspot, you will chew through your data plan very fast, and those overages are criminally overpriced.  I've seen people wind up with a monthly bill in the thousands of dollars range because of it.

    Gliding squirrels, really. smiley

Had both flying squirrels and grey squirrels pets as a kid.

Squirrels react to belly rubs and skritches like a cat does. They like, then nibble>bite because it reminds them of playtime with siblings. :3

Bummer about your connection issues.  I might be able to send you some of my new bandwidth, just send me a bit-proof box and I'll try to pack some into it for you.

Meanwhile I have two complaints of my own.  My NetFlix DVD queue finally got down to sending me the "Dr. Strange" movie and I was so excited to see it arrive.  I popped it into my DVD player and about 3 minutes into it I realized I'd seen it before.  frown  I have absolutely no recollection of going to see it but I apparently have.  Well, the silver lining about this is that I'm not completely senile, I at least remember the plot. indecision

Second complaint: I have a small labeling machine, you know, the small office tools that print labels on special, proprietary, overpriced half-inch wide sticky tape.  I've had the machine for many years.  Got lots of good service out of it, but lately it's been complaining and stopping now and then in the middle of a print.  Well today I tried to use it and it just won't print at all, it starts then immediately dies.  So, I bite the bullet and go to the office supply store and bought a brand new one that uses the same type of tape (I have several rolls of that tape on-hand that I don't want to waste).  I gleefully unbox my new toy, put batteries into it, painfully type in the long line of label info to be printed and press the "PRINT" button and it starts then immediately stops and shuts off the machine. ARGHHHHHH.....  I've tried another set of batteries.  No cigar! sad.  I'm going to try another tape cartridge and if that doesn't work, the whole shebang is going back to the store. angry

Ghaaaaa..., tried more batteries, tried another roll of tape.  Still doesn't work.   So, tomorrow I get to kvetch at a store clerk, about something that is not his fault, till I get my money back or somehow they find me a working labeling machine. yes

Is everything done with that labeler, or does it connect to your computer?  If the latter, perhaps the driver is out of date.  Just a thought.  We used to use a label machine at work that connected to the network with a print server thingie.  That's why I thought of that.

It's just a stand alone labeling device by Brother.  Not fancy but very handy.  Real simple.  Put batteries in, put tape cartridge in, type your message, press "PRINT" and voila!  Except it doesn't! sad  I have 30 days to return it to the store and I've already made the trip into the city three times this week, so I'm putting it off until next scheduled trip onto town.  (My gasoline budget only lets me have one tank of gas a month.  Two trips to the city per week is my usual schedule.)

...fortunately have a plan with overage protection and a fairly high DL limit, it will run slower once that is exceeded but not incur additional charges.

Nobody offers the Wi Fi dongle anymore and because technically I am not supposed to be here, I cannot order service that would be physically connected to teh house.  Without Net Service I am unable to work at finding a place or remain in contact with the  social agencies and people that are working with me.  I don't have a system I can take to say a coffee shop as the notebook's keyboard is burned out and I have to use an external one which is fairly cumbersome to deal with.  The other one I have is XP which is no longer supported and W7 home 32 bit is no longer available at the reputable tech outlets (Newegg, Amazon, etc).  Not going to W10 Home 32 bit as it most likely costs more than that notebook is worth today and I'll never get anything done with all the interruptions for updating, especially at slower wireless speeds.  Not having the latest security fixes for 10 if I turned off updating would be as bad as using XP.

Only thing is I loaded the PC freebie of the week in my cart but didn't realise I was I was not logged in at the time so now I'm stuck with that "cart-login bug" where it shows 1 item in the cart but when I open the cart it says nothing is there and I can't put it in the cart again. Logged out and back in again but that didn't fix it.  What is it now, four years with this software and this bug still persists?

    Submitted the usual support ticket.

Does adding a second item still work?

...yeah forgot about that.  However I now have to DL the .zip files and "Nike Net" them to the workstation via USB stick as I don't have the DIM on the system I use to access the NET (since I no longer do 3D work on it) and the work system doesn't have Wi Fi capability.   A bit of a bother but better than not being able to do it at all.

...finally got caught up with all te backed up emails (crikey, only one and a half days and I had to go several pages deep to get through them all).  Still need to get caught up on the forums but as I mentioned a little earlier want to get out and enjoy the sun and those 70° temps after the last week of chilly, damp, and at times blustery weather that was more appropriate for February or March than May.

No more difficult than wiggling one ear at a time.  Although it took me years to learn that.  Probably best learned when very young.

How am I expected to eat only half the chocolate bar when I have no way to persevere it for later. Two servings in one chocolate bar but it tastes so good I want it all.

I ordered a grande ice coffee but they gave me a trenta. I did mobile order but still.  I think a grande is 16 ounces but a trenta is thirty.  At least it is morning so hopefully I will not be up all night.

If I have chocolate I eat one square per day.
