Could mean both at the same time.  I've seen a lot of angry drunks in my life.

Back in the day  we had a charity group, formed in our local Pub, and we called ourself the PA club.  The A did stand for Artist but the P didn't stand for Published.   The Matron of the Old Peoples home that we used to raise money for gentile-ified it by saying we were Persistant Alcoholics.   When we did a collection of everyone's spare change at the end of the evening we collseted it in a "Gazunder"

...mmm, I love "supersquishy" margaritas. In my old neighbourhood there's a pub that has a Slushie machine they make them in, really strong too.

...ugh cloudy, windy chilly, Caturday here.  Mid 40s (feels like upper 30s) with more frozen water form the sky forecast for tomorrow and Monday as well as again next weekend. This is getting ridiculous., we've had more snow and ice this winter alone than we've had in an entire decade.

When I went out to go to the market for some things, it was 21.  On my way home, it was 17.  It was windy, so the wind chill was probably considerably lower.  It is now 13.  So, you won't get much sympathy from me for mid 40s!   Brrrr!

...yeah, but this is not normal for here. Our usual highs this time of year are 55° - 60° and at most, we maybe get a few inches of snow a year in late December to mid January.  Last year at this time we were already seeing leaves coming out and tulips coming into bloom.

...bugger, seems I'll never get that memory upgrade. Just checked and the 24 GB kit I need went up another 25$ to 180$. Only a couple months ago it listed for 114$ On ebay all I can find are kits of ECC server/workstation memory which I don't think will work in my system as most of it is proprietary to specific brands of workstations like Dell or HP.

For us, mid 40s is normal for this time of year.  Not 13 to 22.

I have a nice 2nd hand one looking for a home,   makes good soup,  not too bad on smoothies,  but a bit large for one person.   And of course not easy to send across the pond.

brown betties come in other colors?

is it one size tea cozy fit all?

  • ChoholeChohole Posts: 33,604

A Brown Betty is a type of teapot, round and with a manganese brown glaze known as Rockingham glaze. The original teapots came from a red clay that was discovered in the Stoke-on-Trent area of Britain, in 1695.

I have 3 different sized teapots all the same round shape as Brown Bettys but in different colours,  the yellow one makes 2 cups, or one and a bit mugs of tea,  the green one makes 4 cups or about 2 and a half mugs and the terracotta colour one makes  6 cups or about 4 mugs of tea.    I use the terracotta one the most. They are the same shape as Brown Bettys, but are not Brown Bettys, Theay are made from pottery, not terracotta.

And I have different sized tea cosies to match each of them.

I also have a tea pot that matches my full dinner/tea set,  but I don't tend to use that one,

This is like my orange one, only it appears they no longer do them in orrange.  The little handle sticking out is becaue they have a built in filter, so the tea leaves are contained so you don't need a tea strainer, and it is easier to empty the tepot.

I am listening to Evanescence on my phone while riding in a van as they are listening to a talk show.  I really hope that Amazon music is part of the binge on thing T-Mobile has.
