    I browsed to the cr2

I can't find the cr2, so haven't managed to get started.

it should be in your poser formats, if you have it under runtime, libraries, characters, DAZ people

otherwise you will need to use the genesis K4 clone

if you did not buy K4 or get it when DAZ gave it away a few times that is the alternative

Having some problems with your method, and I wonder if you can help.  I will make some notations below of what I can and can't do.

Using Generation X, transfer any K4 morph to Genesis 3, and this will create a K4 shape for you. You should see the morph under Actor/Generation X/*** People ***

Creating a clone from a morph has been documented in a number of places, but I will repeat the steps here:

    1) Change G3F to base resolution and morph her to K4 using the morph created by GenX

Done.  I have a Gen X dial for G3 female.

    2) Export G3F as an obj, saving the file as Kids 4.

I exported the figure, in base resolution, as an .obj

    Havos said:

    3) Import the obj file using Morph Loader Pro

What?!  How do you import an .obj using Morph Loader?  I can import the object using the import/export menu, but morph loader doesn't give me an option to import an object!

    4) Locate the loaded morph under Parameters/Morphs/Morph Loader.

I take it that I wasn't able to import using morph loader, there is nothing in Parameters/Morphs/Morph Loader.

    5) Click the small settings icon on Kids 4, and select Parameter Settings. In the pop-up box, type should be Modifier/Shape, change this to Modifier/Clone

    No idea what this means

    6) Save the Kids 4 morph under Morph Loader using Save As->Support Assets->Morph Asset(s)   (do not save as a Clone Asset).

Now any newly loaded G3F figure should have a K4 clone.

I would love to be able to do this, if it will allow me to fit K4 clothing to G3.  If it won't, then I thank you in advance but I don't think this is for me.  If it will, please give me a hand.  I've been using Daz for a while, but I never used Morph Loader or made clones.

    Hi Areg,

Firstly have you managed to create a K4 shape for Genesis 3, ie can you morph the Genesis 3 base figure into K4's shape?.

Creating a clone is not a trivial exercise, and it probably uses a number of tools you have not used/needed before.

Morph Loader Pro is for reading in morphs, and can be accessed from the menu Edit->Figure->Morph Loader Pro. Once you have the Morph Loader Pro pop-up box showing, click on the "Choose Morph File" button, and then select the obj that you exported.

By the way, you can always get K4 clothing onto G3 by auto fitting first to Genesis, and then G2F (or G2M) and then Genesis 3. However if you have a K4 clone for Genesis 3 then you can go direct from K4 to Genesis 3, and this should (in theory) give you a better fit for the clothes.

yes, I have been able to do that with genx2.

ok, I've done that.  I would have a G3 loaded, open morph loader, import the .obj I just created, and I get a message that it can't create the morph because the geometry doesn't match.

yes, that is the method I've used for years, and the fit isn't the greatest.

Normally you get the geometry does not match when the obj is exported before setting G3F mesh to base resolution, so that is the first thing you should check, although I know you said that you did that in your first post. Perhaps you can try and export it again. Make sure there are no geografts etc added to the G3F mesh before exporting as well, to ensure it is only the base mesh. After this, it should, in theory, import okay.

Off to bed soon, so I will likely reply to any further questions in the morning.

Remember, even with a K4 morph, you will still get fitting issues with clothing that always gives problems when being autofit, in particular long dresses and shoes.

Ok...got all the way through it, saved as a support asset.  Now, when I reload the figure, the clone is gone.  I saw where you wrote that now any Genesis 3 figure will have the clone, and they don't.  It appears to be saving, but the clonbe isn't there....

Changed  a few names, it's there now.  Thanks!  Works pretty well!

Glad to hear you got it working :-)
