Processor Requirements Clarification

I am building a system for Fyre, who frequents other places on this board. The specs for Daz Studio are these for a Windows 64 bit system:

WHQL-64 certified
Intel Xeon/Core 2 Duo or Quad /Core i7 or AMD Opteron/Phenom processor(s)
Windows 7 and Vista (Windows 7 recommended)
2 GB RAM min (3GB+ RAM recommended)
1GB free hard drive space for installation
Hardware accelerated OpenGl 1.6 compatible graphics card with at least 512 MB RAM (OpenGL 2.2, or higher, compatible recommended)
DirectX 9 (used for audio processing only)

Regarding the processors, are the Opteron and Phenom only minimal suggestions or will other AMD processors work?

The Opteron has a very odd pricing schedule compared to most AMD models.

Thanks - Fyrez_guy

So this one would be good to go?
    AMD FX-6100 Zambezi 3.3GHz

I can't see why not but wanted to be clear about the processor specs.

I would think so. Sounds good.

If you can push for the 8120, do so. The FX-6100 is great when you're using more threaded applications, but when they're not the 4100 actually turns out to be marginally faster (3.6Ghz compared to 3.3Ghz). For things like Luxrender though, it will pull ahead so if you plan to use Reality with Daz then definitely get the higher of the two if you don't have the budget to stretch for an 8120.
