Disabling the background

Hi there everyone.

I'm currently using Bryce primarily as a "tree creation engine" (the trees really look outstanding). For this, however, I'd like to disable the sky box so that only the tree is rendered and may be placed anywhere in another scene (I'm using the trees within a simple 2D HTML5 game, so I only need the tree sprite + a transparent background). Is there any easy way to disable the background/render a single object on a transparent background plane? Or does it all come down to masking?
