I found these content items.

Originally, I was thinking about acquiring a forest texture and found these content items. I will be exporting as FBX or OBJ from Daz3d for use in Iclone 6.  If I am thinking right, I can export the forest as props and then apply to my terrains in Iclone.

I was looking at the Carrara Terrain and thinking the replicator tool might do what I need as well. I am thinking a height map with trees is NOT practical or possible.  Iclone has a tool for inserting terrains as height maps.

I found another content item.  I missed this one because the building distracted me in the promotion information. It indicates to work in Carrara and Daz3d studio

Can anyone share information about these items.

iClone you can just use png files with an alpha channel in the grass function, any alpha image be it trees figures for crowds whatever, render your own in iClone and paint them on a terrain with the grass brush, they will sway with wind.

I'm not sure I follow you on this.  Maybe you could share a bit more?

In other words - Are you saying --- forget about the Daz3d content items?

well you can use them too if you want to, I have those products myself to use mostly in DAZ studio, but if using splat billboards which is what iClone grass is,  a texture map is all you need, take a look at the materials in iClone grass and you will see what I mean, it has scaling too for big trees, you could even stick images of houses in it and paint towns!

I seem to go back and forth alot through 3dxchange pipeline, and often have time consuming issues exporting from Daz3d.

    I appreciate your responses
