    wow...nicely done!

  • I'm sorry, but because of the nudity you may not provide a link to the video unless it's on a site that flags "adult" content and blocks non-registered viewers - I don't know if Deviant Art can be used for videos.

At least... you watched it :)

DeviantArt can be used for video but a cannot find the person to approve my application for a month.

At least 10 more chapters are planned and I already have some material for the most of them. Plan is to release something roughly monthly.

I think I've found right approach to production of these, so I hope I'll make them all :)

  • Looks great. What frame-rate did you use? looks like 30.

That was very nice!  Looking forward to more.

Yes, 30. On 24 the lack of motion blur in iRay for DAZ Studio becomes very visible.

Give me, say... three weeks :) But it will not be Ch.2, something like prologue to illustrated story.

Really nice job! I'll stay tuned for more :)

What would be the harm to have a couple of bands around strategic body parts... re: the movie "5th element"

The fun is most often in the mystery... and many more people will see your work.

    I enjoyed what I saw.

You're welcome. If you want to follow the development process you can do it on my DeviantArt page (name's a-sennov :) ), but be prepared - much more nude women there :)

Actually, one can't see more in this movie (and subsequent chapters too) than in the TVbox in prime time. And travelling in sleeper pod in those bands for the month would not be hygienic :)

I thought this would be a spoof of the movie Sleepless in Seattle with Meg Ryan. :P

  • a-sennova-sennov Posts: 331

Asteroid is real and is really named Megryan because of that movie, and I use it in my movie because of that movie too :) So the name... :)

To me, you really captured a sense of vulnerability in the way you posed and shot her feet here, that was excellent!

Wow, very impressed by how life-like your movement is and all the litle details. Also the low lighting looks great, you nailed everything, sound, lighting, mood, it must have taken forever to do both the animation and the rendering. How many months did you work on this?

  • That was really great animating!!! I  enjoyed that immensely!  :)

I agree.  I was blown away by how smooth that first shot of the guy walking through the cooridor was!   Seeing Daz used at this level is proof positive that you shouldn't always listen to self-proclaimed "pros"  telling you what tools are capable of.  People who actually work with specific  tools are always better at getting the most from those items and using those tools in ways that lots of pros would never consider.

Indeed, I didn't expect that much nudity after just seeing the movie clip. That Olga character is beautifully done and you nailed every expression in those close ups. Good work!

Really excellent. Perhaps the smoothest DAZ Studio animation I've seen.

Trying to answer all in one go... :)

To be honest, it's not her feet :) These feet are from her previous G2F-based version :)

It's really difficult to tell, because some shots were part of my former project called Battalion. When I decided to split it to chapters it become apparent that this chapter need more shots to properly show everything to viewer. Adding these shots took approximately one month, so took rerendering everything that needed it to make lighting look consistant.

Ok, the shot of Jason has some quirks too :) About tools: you can do almost everything in DAZ in regard of animation, but... you have to organize this process. Of cause, I'd like to see totally undestructible animation workflow but in reality it doesn't exist (SoftImage had something like it but it doesn't exist either), so MoBu, Maya, MAX and DAZ Studio are not much different in this aspect. HumanIK is better than IK implementation in Studio but you still can get decent result with it if you're ready to get your hands into Genesis3 internals :)

I'm trying to seperate light and dark sides of it on my sites but on DA they've got intermixed :)

There ARE quirks :) but I gonna improve in the next chapter :)

Your response is funny.  Everything we see abaout space travel is absurd fiction.  Transporters (Beam me up Scotty)-- the human body is composed of appx 100 trillion cells of variations in structure and composition, yet all these cells are broken down...sent across space and rebuild themselves... and conversely the cells remotely are broken down and have to be rebuilt at the transporter...Completely impossible under any circumstances.  All your characters are walking around like in a gravity environment...now we have all been told there is no gravity in space.  I don't honestly think any follower of space travel or sci-fi expects anything close to realism.  I love Sci-Fi, because of the effects, wild props, crazy stuff going on.

Naked isn't necssary, but the first Terminator movie had old Arnold walking around in his birthday suit. Your excellent work would not have been tagged...except for the nipples. Nipples and genitalia. You can get your ideas across without actually showing the small parts and most important your work will not be banned by the sexual content police.

Do as you will, not my concern.  You should think about what you are trying to accomplish.  It is hard enough getting viewers, much less to have the sex police stop you before you get it published.

Of course I will be watching to view your work, enjoyed it.

I'm trying to keep with 'science' in sci-fi :)

All bodies that have mass are subject to gravity, so are asteroids. But yes, gravity on asteroid is very weak compared to 'normal' Earth so they have to use other forces like electomagnetiic or better 'weak force' to make atrificial gravity. This is really the serious theme and it will be visible in more details in Ch.4 and one of the accompanying illustrated stories. It also has close relationship to child-bearing problem in space.

You've got me - when I invented this whole sequence I thought about T1 and decided to use the same metaphor: the birth. We're naked when born, weak, ugly, doing nasty things - and then may become Terminators :) So I don't see much of erotic context in either T1 or my mvoie.

Here at DAZ they have images right in their storefront that make even my blood run cold without being formally nude :) In general this topic of nudes in atrwork is endless religious war, especially when no real people are involved, like in this case. And again: compare it to 'Spartacus' or more recent 'Marco Polo' that they used to broadcast by public TV channels.

Science Fiction, Science Fantasy -  Synonyms

I really don't see much difference.  Science in the real world has become become stupified anyway with the NASA BS

Recenly, NASA promoted information about finding a distant planet that they felt would support life. The planet, Kepler-452-b is 1,800 light years from earth.  That would be in layman terms...8 quadrillion miles away.  There is no way that is anything buy BS.  There is no way the could know anything about anything at that distance.  I think the more crazy it sounds the more people embrace it.  LOL

Satellites were created from the imagination of the guy who wrote "2001".

Science has become LaLa land.  All the sciences from NASA, to dinosaurs to cave men is totally gone to ridiculous.  I don't believe any of them anymore.  Scientific claims have become so exaggerated.  I say, have fun enjoy...but don't take it serious.

Well, I never worked with NASA but some pieces of my software are still orbting this planet on ISS so some satellites ARE real :)

The difference between SciFi and Fantasy is simple - in SciFi author knows how and why something is happening, in Fantasy - it just happens :)

You aren't wrong, except I don't think it is about religious anything.  Marco Polo was produced by Harvey Weinstein an old reprobate himself with too much money. I started to watch the first episode season one... whoops, it wasn't my sensibilities that got me.  I just prefer not to have those images and thoughts in my brain pan.  I don't watch the ISIS beheadings either.

That old saying... garbage in = garbage out.  You can build your life with treasure or trash or something in between.  I feel better when I monitor what comes in.  Nudity of an animated character doesn't mean zip to me.  I guess it does to some people who cannot separate real from fantasy.

I think your video is excellent work, and the nipples didn't mean zip to me.  We are just discussing... keep on, you could be the next George Lucas.

Nicely done. The animation has something of a "Thunderbirds" feel to it, giving it a retro flavor.
