Unable to connect to my Daz account?

  • The DAZ  IT people and webmasters must be pulling their hair out by now with what I've been seeing over the last two days.

I can't imagine the semantics of just keeping the loads of data that this site hosts.

Yipe.. And I think they're down again while I was just typing this.

I can't even open Daz Studio, because I have it configured to automatically log in to Daz Connect. It is stuck at the splash screen with a Logging in... message. It has been stuck there for minutes. It did the same thing last night.

Gotta love that DRM baby! My Daz 4.8 boots up just fine. This is why your customers object to DRM principles Daz.

But I'm having major issues here trying to put stuff in my cart and check out. The sale better be extended if people can't get the deals because the site's screwy. I'm trying to buy LineRender9000 and get freebie character add on. The site is barely functional at all. Even trying to write this post the forum page has crashed on my a couple of times!

I'm on 4.9 without Connect active, so no problems running Studio, but yeah, this sort of mishap is a very good reason to steer clear of Connect and DRM.

DIM is having issues again. I can connect without problems, and when I attempt to download anything the download proceeds, but then reports "Download Failed" when I reach 100%. It was working okay an hour or so ago, but it is now playing up.

The aiuto-log-in is a beta feature, this is exactly the sort of thing that should be reported.

I didn't have a problem with 4.9 because I don't log in ;). I think it's only when ya log in that ya got a problem :). Now, the website and DIM on the other hand....oy.

I was FINALLY able to make the purchase I wanted (85% off the sailboat!!) but wow... talk about painful.

I'm wondering what's going on?  Server failure?  Router failure?  DDoS (who would DDoS Daz is beyond me though)?  Maybe they should replace those $20 D-Link 5-port 10/100 switches in the server room....  cool  hehe

This situation does have me worried about how I will use. My dazcontent if I can't install it because the store is having problems

I eventually got the sailboat a couple of hours ago too. DIM insists that it's been installed, but there's absolutely no sign of it anywhere in Studio. I'll have to investigate further later as I have now got a render cooking, featuring the yacht from Lagoon Living where I wanted my sailboat to be. It's a nice product, but not at all the same thing!

My DIM didn't even see it at all yesterday (I had purchased it at work, then went home and fired up DIM to download it).  It wasn't until I 'purchased' one of the freebies this morning that, when I fired up DIM through the purchase page on Daz that it finally showed up.  Yuk.
