No more barbed wire around limbs, please! You kill your darlings!

Dear PAs,

Plese, for the Love of God, don't "decorate" your darling figure outfits with barbed wire or thorn ribbons or big fat metal spikes all around their legs or arms. These poor creatures need to walk or do things with their hands, which they can't do with these "decorations" without seriously injuring themselves.

Agreed, it looks impressive, threatening, really badass, but I love them too much to let them bleed to death from mere walking.

(Besides the nifty fact that they themselves would shredder their lovely outfits just by moving)

This kind of 'mortification of the flesh' is a very old and real 'thing.' Lol look up the term 'cilice.'

It's not a tattoo. If you look closely, it's a physical object and you can see it protruding away from her on the sides.

    LOL.

Though I took the OP as being tongue in cheek, the fact that people will complain about the impracticality of boob armor, and stilletto heels on almost every pair of footwear designed for a female character;  or a character wearing an animal skin, and no one has commented on someone wrapping barbed wire around their leg as a . . . fashion statement, has me kinda' scratching my head.

This is all obviously for fantasy art, not for depicting an average person walking around at a mall LOL...

LOL I think I'm the only person in the Daz/Poserverse that hates tatoos ;).

The wire can be removed.  There's even a material pose to do so.

Cutting off High Heels or closing a Boob Window requires a lot more work.  :)

  • tats need to suit the character. I don't like the clip art explosion tats that look like someone opened a tattoo book and just Cut and pasted them on. Plus tats age. An older salty sailors tat will look different than a newbie tat on a yuppie.

In my day tattoos were the ultimate sign of not conforming to society. Today they're the sign of untimate conformity. There are going to be some ridiclulous looking old people around in a few years.

Not having a tattoo on your body is the new having a tattoo.

Hate is a little strong, but count me in

They need to be appropriate to the character one is creating; so not always a really big, massive, gigantic no-no. :)

Yeah, that's kinda true... You now have chain/franchise mall tattoo shops...

Mall tattoo shop proprietor: "Hi, what can I do for you?

Customer: " (If male): Hello... I'd like to express my uniqueness and individuality with a tattoo... Could I have the number 26 tribal scroll tattoo with the kanji at the bottom that actually says "potatoe", but claims to be "courage"?.... OR.....  (If female) Hello... I'd like to express my uniqueness and individuality with a tattoo... Could I get the number 17 butterfly just above my butt crack?

Proprietor: "Great! That's a very popular one today!"

I'm waiting for automated tattoo vending booths... If they actually exist already, please don't tell me... it will destroy my last remaining treads of faith in humanity.

Ever since I've given up hope I've felt much better.  laugh

  • This has turned into an outright insult-fest aimed at folks like me. How is this not considered an attack on other members? angry

    Thanks for your support.

  • How about the ridiculous old? Can we still attack them generally; especially if we are ridiculous old ourselves? Isn't restricting the ridiculous old from insulting ourselves a hate crime? It must be some form of *.ist, at least.

    I just can't tolerate intolerence.

I have always said I wanted to grow old disgracefully.   After all growing old is inevitable, but growing up is optional.
