just wondering can i use g3 model clothing onto older figures

Out of the box, no. You can purchase autofit clones to use them on G2F/M or Genesis 1 though:

There are several clone-products in the shop. How I understand, they are for using G3 cloth on G2 or G1 but I don't have any of that stuff, so I cannot tell if it work good.... ;)

Theoretically yes you can, in practice it is not that simple, Daz Studio’s built in autofit will attempt to fit clothes, you would have to select the ‘Unsupported Figure’ option and go from there Alternatively there are are some G3F clones in the store that add G3F support to G2F and G1 autofit which improve things.

In all cases you will probably have to make adjustments as autofit tends to result in very form fitting clothes, the ‘Cling-Film Effect’, but there are also tools to help with that (Zev0’s Fit Control series springs to mind).

Some things simply don’t work very well, footwear in particular is a lost cause (unless someone knows better) as are items that should be rigid (armour etc.) as these tend to distort in my experience.

 

I would suggest that you try the built in auto fit option first with some free G3 clothes and see what you think of the result, if you do decide to invest in some of the tools to help don’t forget about Daz’s 30 day money back guarantee if things don’t work out as well as you hoped.

 

I’m sure somebody else will be along shortly to chip in with their thoughts so if you’re not sure just wait a bit and see what happens.
