I have no idea how to render an image I keep getting a pink visual.

Daz is more difficult then studio max

    LOL, i use 3DSMax and it's not, not by a long shot, LOL

    make sure you have a camera (create > new camera) in your scene, make sure your viewpoint is looking thru that camera and make sure you have a light source in the scene.

    It's just any other app, you need to play with it till it clicks

    I think the pink thing might be the same thing that happened to me (and a few other other people) a couple of weeks ago. As far as I remember, the solution involved upgrading graphics drivers although I could be wrong. Whatever it was, it worked like a charm. I'd try to dig up more if forum search wasn't so awful - maybe someone else with a better memory who experienced the same thing will be along soon. Good luck.

    I have no idea what the pink that was about but using the camera seems the answer.

    This is an issue with Kaspersky deleting the freeimage.dll file used by Iray. Check kaspersky's quarantine/vault area to recover the missing file (and for peace of mind check it with an on-deamnd scanner or service before mrking it as safe, though I'm certain it is clean - barring local issues).
