Niiiiiiice! I love the shine you're getting. Are your rendering in DAZ or Poser?

(I should have a render of the M4 Cheron within the next half hour... if I can stop making up movie scripts about Garth of Izar...)

    Okay :-)

The wall is 'temporary' as it will be replaced in the entire set but the doorway with forcefield itself is "done". So here's for those who wish to make use of it locking up those bad guys [and gals] [and monsters].

    http://www.mediafire.com/?guiumzxij3d2ltr TNG Brig Door

And I even scaled it ... sized it for M4 and types.
It loads in the centre so one can place it where they wish.
    Whole thing is uvmapped.
    Several shading domains.
Force field has 2 layers and lots of mesh so theoretically one can morph in some field explosions and the like.

I use Daz Studio 4.5 Pro - but to be honest the shine is a postwork trick LOL

I run the render into Photoshop CS5,
and one pass of Your poser action,
then I add a background texture,
then I use an action I have that give a soft edge glow, -it creates this on another layer so i then reduce that layers opacity down till i get the desired amount I like :),
I then add signature and your frame action,
size to the desired size as my render is normally very large
    and done

NOTE: depending on picture other postwork might be done in between or after or before some of those steps

Hmmm... that soft edge glow action sounds like it would be very useful...

Is this a hint that you're converting Raul Manoru's Doomsday Machine from .MAX into a Poser/DAZ friendly format?

    Sincerely,

I dont think the word "friendly" really describes the Doomsday Machine.

    and past tense... converted!

In Star Trek: the Motionless Picture, the only parts I saw move on the space dock were some industrial lighting fixtures swinging out of the way before launch. I'm not even sure what the rest of the framework is supposed to be. Tool and parts storage? Worker break areas, offices, and life-support? Low power presser/tractor beams for manipulating large modules? Combinations of the above?

Come now, they had a 45min fly-by of the new ship, so that counts as motion.

I no longer have any episodes of Enterprise but I thought the sides moved out a bit when a ship was leaving or to accomidate a larger vessel. Its got arms that I can make move but its deciding if the rest is going to move or not.

Hot d*mn! so, when might we see it available? I assume this will be one that will remain at Trek Meshes.

Downloaded this conference room from LBA in the Rendo Free Stuff section.

    http://www.renderosity.com/mod/freestuff/details.php?item_id=69964

I saw the thumbnail, liked the design, and thought that I could use it for something Trek related. Soooo... Here's a conference room at Starfleet Command (Next Gen era).

    Good Idea

It will be Trekmeshes only. I have emailed it to Erik and waiting for real life to slow down long enough for him to update his site with it.

I will let you know when its available as he will email me back that its done.

    EDIT:
Forgot to say, I have now reached the letter "E" in the list of ships for conversion. So having gone through them all, I have gathered all ships named Enterprise to be worked on. So you will be seeing a few more Enterprise models comming in the next while.

    DOWNLOAD HERE: http://www.sharecg.com/v/66183/view/11/Poser/Cheron-Skin-for-M4-and-V4

At last -- here is the completed skin texture for the ill-fated Cheron race. The mat files are a very simple version of the texture. A basic bump map is included in the version in the material room. Should work in both DAZ and Poser. I encourage you to experiment with adding sub-surface scattering. For Poser users, I recommend D3D's Perfect Skin python script (for sale here: http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/d3d-perfect-skin-2---poser-python-script/71922) to enhance this and all my other skin textures.

Oh, she's a real cutie! I never thought of the Cheron textures as being as stylish as it looks on V4... I suppose I've never seen the look played for glamor, though. Although quite accomplished as character actors, neither of the guest stars in "Let This Be Your Last Battlefield" was famous for his male model good looks...

    This need no introduction.

Comming soon to STMC. Close up included so you can stare for hours for no reason.

Decals are removeable so you can rename the ship. StarFleet logo is removeable too so you can make it an ISS instead.
