Although I'll try this, I'll purchase the Cayman Studios product when they have ready the male version, because surely it will be better.

    • The product that puts the G2F and M UV on G3M and F is very clever in that it uses geografts to replace the mesh that cannot be matched up.
    • it is actually changing the geometry of the figure in effect making a new figure/model
    • this could be done the other way but again you will not actually have a genesis 2 male or female but a new mesh using parts of their mesh and geografted new bits in effect making a new figure again, I have no idea how they do this but it is brilliant but still a workaround a frankensteining
    • the vendor who made it Cayman Studios might do a version the other way and is probably your best bet

I have actually just started work on a UV conversion from Genesis 3 Female to Genesis 2 Female, as there appears to be some demand for it.  There will have to be new geografts and I have already come across a few issues which didn't exist for the Legacy UVs, but nothing insurmountable.  So watch this space!

That's a hope you'll develop a G3M to G2M texture converter? Just a thing: I know there are a lot of demand in feminine figures, but I need it for Genesis Male Figures.

Well, it's early days, but now I've set down on that path it's likely that I'll do the male version too.

    That's awesome!! I can't wait to purchase it when it's ready! :D

How are you with that product? Any progress?

The female version is done and I shall submit it shortly.  Then I need to work on something else before I decide about the male version.

So? Will it be ready the male version soon?

taiuri, the female version took me a good three weeks to do.  The male version will take me a similar amount of time.  I shall probably start it in about 10 days or so.  Then it takes a few weeks for DAZ to QA it and arrange a release, so I am afraid it is highly unlikely it will be in the store before October.

Hi Cayman Studios, I see you have your Genesis 3 UVs for Genesis 2 Female(s) in your store ready, I was wondering when will be ready the Genesis 2 Male(s) version more less? or when you expect it'll be ready for selling? Because it's the one I need for my work.

I hope it's almost ready for selling, please let us know. Thanks! :)

  • Taiuri, it should be finished in about a week, then it'll be with DAZ for testing.  So hopefully mid to late October, though nothing is certain.

Well, at least is less time than before, October is just around the corner and it'll been ready sooner. I'll be watching your store in the following weeks in case it's ready before. Thank you! :)

Just to be aware, have you ended the G2M version and now it's in the Daz testing process?

Awesome! Just a question, I have gotten to transfer G3M Morphs to G2M, but could I do the same with the textures of your product? For example, I have a guy morph from G3M which I transfered to G2M, but could I get to transfer his textures too with your product help?

Well, that is what the product will be for.  You'll run the preparation script on G2M, then load the G3M texture.  You can have the morph dialled in either before or after that procedure.
