Can Slim Man's hands be morphed back to default with mesh grabber morph editor?
I have the mesh grabber and find it excellent, in some instances I can't even live without it, however sometimes it does not work as well as one would want, so I just wanted to see if morph editor gets a good reccomendation for tasks like putting the Slim Man's hands back to genesis default hands. thanks for your help!
Can Slim Man's hands be morphed back to default with mesh grabber morph editor? Will I be able to change the hands back to normal (or near to the normal default) with the mesh grabber morph editor,
will it be both easier and perhaps more efficient?

Isn't Aniyah wonderful? She's quickly becoming a fave as is and as a base to start dialing from. She looks great here too and loving all these fun renders :)
I remember buying Darcy, just to use Aniyah (so a double purchase hehe). I wish I'd used her in a render sooner!

Aniyah is great all by herself.
Your version is also wonderful, I wouldn't have recognised her!
She definitely is. I was very tempted to use her on her own, because she looks amazing by herself. But I always mix morphs (I dunno why, I've just always done it) and I do like the results. I'll have to do a render with just her base morph.

Has anyone tried DarkHound's "Legacy to Gen3 Morph Converter"? It converts a V4 character directly to a G3 character. I just bought it from DarkHound via his DA store, but it will be a few weeks before I have a chance to try it. He also sells a G3 to G8 converter. When I do get to test it, I will report back.
Thanks to everyone for the useful information in this thread. I am very interested in converting some old custom V4/A4 characters to G8.
Yep! I have DH's converter and use it to convert V4-G3F
It works fine to get to transfer to G3F but I was hoping for a straight V4-> G8F solution but sounds like there isn't one. I have tools that someone previously posted earlier that i already do for my current conversion but was hoping for a more direct route. Looks like I'll keep chipping away away with my current tools until a more direct conversion gets made.
I bought DarkHound's "Legacy to Gen3 Morph Converter" like you...but I could sure use a tutorial or PDF, if that exists...I can't find one in the downloaded files...Anybody know if there's a tutorial somewhere?
All I know of is the basic instructions on the Deviantart page for the product. Still have not had time to try it.

Problem transfering custom actions to another daz studio installRichard Haseltine said:
I thought it was generally possible to transfer Custom Actions - I thought I'd done it after having to reinstall Windows on this machine a while back - so I'm not at all sure what the issue here might be.
Well thanks. I guess I will just have to be happy with being able to import the submenues. This was really only a problem because I had to down grade my beta because of ghost light change. Then I saw a post on backing up daz settings and thought that could be useful.

Collector v. Creator - what are you?Collecting to create, but truth be told, quite a few of the characters I've bought are spot on enough that I don't need to create and that's a bummer, well sort of, not too much though. In spite of that I'll not bother changing those characters that are spot on for my needs via morph dials and what not just for the sake of saying that I created them.

Meshitup has a number of outfits that would work well for that, like the Middle Eastern outfit for G8F.
Is there a male counterpart?
To Bugga Boo? Not really, and the selection of male toons is pretty limited in general. You could always dial the male transgender/cross-figure utility morph into Bugga Boo.
You could check out 3D Universe's store for male toon characters

Do what I do, just use puppeteer to save your cameras and simply save your scene as normal, or save a puppeteer preset to apply to as many new cameras as you want!
Puppeteer is one of those DAZ utilities that I tried a couple of times and couldn't get any joy with it. I probably need to watch a tutorial on how it works but that sliding between dots seems so imprecise to me that I gave up on it quickly. How I would use it to save camera presets is quite beyond me.
Anyhow, the regular way of saving the camera preset seems to work just fine now - I can't imagine why it didn't work for me previously.
I'm glad it worked out for you, as far as using puppeteer for cameras, all you need to do is select your camera and if your cam is not selected just go to puppeteer's drop-down menu and select the camera, and go to puppeteer and make a dot... that's it, your camera state is stored, that includes the cam settings such as FOV and focal length!
I use puppeteer for all my poses, and I can transfer those poses between characters!
@takezo_3001, Hello, I'm trying to use puppeteer to memory my camera, but here is a problem: I dot (edit) few camera positions, then in last position, I opened the camera's FOV, and change its focal length and focal frame size, save the whole scene. The sad thing is, when go back to previous puppeteer dots, the camera still using the last FOV and focal length and frame size, so it can not focus on previous target. Does this mean the puppeteer can only remember position and pose, can not memory every point's camera perameters?
Character in Suit Collar Dress Promos? Most likely a character the artist created using morph dials. That's usually what these mystery characters end up being and not something you can buy.

You don't have to use the new skin with G8.1, as G8.1 also has the UV for G8/G3, so you can use your old skins as they are
G8 base expressions do not work by default, which also renders any expression dials that use the G8 expressions as a base non-functional, but there's an easy fix to get them working
Clothing and hair that's made for G8 should not ask for autofitting (If using DS 4.15 or newer)
Geografts and shells, if bought products, may need updating. The reason is the difference in the base figures name "Genesis 8" vs "Genesis 8_1", not because they are somehow different.
Many G8.1 characters have SubD dialed to 4 or even 5, but it's easy to dial it down to normal levels, so it isn't taxing the system any more than G8Basically using G8.1 is no different than using G8, it has the option of the new skin and the (optional) fancy rig for expressions, but that's about it.
Do you ever get blue marks around some seams when using 8.0 skins on an 8.1? Or different levels of detail? I've noticed it around the arms and ears particularly, and also the tops of the legs (although that's not generally visible in my pictures). I think that's the cause anyway, and that would make some sense and I've put it down to the UV transfer. Fixing it in post work is possible but tedious
Or is it just me?
But all in all I love the G8.1 and I wouldn't go back. Once the expressions are "fixed" there really isn't much to lose.
FWIW, I don't agree with the idea that only facial movements possible in the real world should be available, which I believe was the reason that so many dials I use frequently were removed. I'd be lost without some of the G8.0 eyelid posing options especially, but it's easy to get them back of course.
I haven't seen any blue marks

Would I need to buy something more to do that? Will G8 male hair and beards work on her?
You could use AgentUnawares' free transgender morphs. The Cross-Figure Resource Kit is a handy thing to have, and might prove especially useful for what you're currently trying to do, but isn't strictly necessary. As for the rest of your question, see my above post.

I found that most hair just will not fit. It's just another purchase that I don't use.
Another good point: toons, and a lot of other extreme morphs, tend to mess with DS's ability to fit hair, I presume because the ratio of head to neck changes so far from the base morph. Have you played around with Bugga much? Try getting her to wear G8F hair, then imagine the added layer of complexity of trying to fit male hair and beards to her.
AIUTO...CHI CONOSCE L’ITALIANO?
Baku and Gen81M issueFind the Baku character morph (not the head and body morphs), dial it down to 0. Click the cog next to that character morph and go into parameter settings, and set the default value to 0. File -> Save As -> Support Asset -> Save Modified Assets. Victory.
dForce Using AnimationYou would have to export the item in question and re-import it as a morph, or just use dForce2Morph.
