[Released] Turbo Loader Booster Utilities [Commercial]

I'm assuming I am doing something wrong here.
I followed the youtube tutorial and created a toon profile including many toon character items etc.
Worked fine, saved it and then rechecked adding all, worked as expected.
Loaded my toon profile but no change all items are still checked and not just the toon related ones.
Am I missing a step?
The configs save either CHECKED, UNCHECKED, or BOTH. They do NOT save the opposite. For example, if you have 10 morphs CHECKED and 1000 UNCHECKED, the CHECKED config will only have 10 items in it. This means that if later you load the CHECKED config onto the morph list where everything is already checked, nothing changes as the thousand UNCHECKED items were not saved with the config. You would have to UNCHECK everything and then load the CHECKED config to see changes.

To fix any ill-behaving (non-zero default value) morphs, do as follows;
1. Open DS and load "Genesis 8.1 Basic Female" (to an empty scene)
2. Right Click at Parameters Tab->Preferences->Choose "Show Hidden Properties" (part 3 zeroes only 'visible' dials)
3. Right Click at Parameters Tab->Zero->Zero Figure (Zeroes the value of all the 'visible' dials)
4. Right Click at Parameters Tab->Memorize->Memorize Figure (Sets the current value of all the dials as their default value)
5. Edit->Save As->Support Asset->Save Modified Assets (Writes the changed default value to the morph files that were changed)When saving "Modified Assets" DS shows a dialog and asks for confirmation;
"The following file(s) will be permanently modified:" - "Accept/Cancel" - Choose "Accept"tried this method and Daz just keeps crashing when trying to zero genesis 8 base figure :(

Hi ZevO, do you have plan to create and release Genesis 2 to Genesis 8 Morph Converter?
Currently thinking to make a leap to Genesis 8 / 8.1 from Genesis 2, thanks.
I have used GenX2 and the Genesis 2 and 3 plugins to transfer characters from Genesis 2 to 3, then used XTransfer to Genesis 8 with good success. I did have one character transfer with messed up shoulder rigging, and had to use Adjust Rigging to Shape...
I would be interested in this as well. Sounds like too many chances for mixed results doing it from GenX2 then to XTransfer, but glad there is an alternative.

I'm going to need to read your last post a few times to understand what you mean. I'll let you know if I have a problem
Oh, in case it's important, I''m using a external hard drive to transfer the files from one computer to another.
Thanks for the help.
Re-rigging a freebie propI'm looking for advice on how to design or modify the rigging for a broken tripod prop, and to create morphs to open & close the legs. I hope that if I start with a good design, I'll be able to implement it, but my problem is that I don't know what properties a 'good design' would have.
The freebie prop (digital single lens camera & tripod, by shima) was posted on another site 7 years ago. It looks great (see pic) but unfortunately it's not rigged correctly, according to comments by several users who downloaded it in the past. The author hasn't updated it since, so it looks like I will have to try and mend myself.
The tripod was originally made for Poser (which I don't have or want), and it almost works in Daz Studio. It comes with 7 morphs, of which 6 work OK (3 manipulate the head/platform, and 3 extend the legs). The 7th morph should splay & close the legs, but the single slider makes all three legs move together in the same direction. I'd like to end up with a single slider that causes all three legs to open/close in synchrony, but I'd settle for three sliders, one per leg. In either case, I'd like the leg-lock(s) to move as the leg moves.
Any advice on (re)designing the rigging would be appreciated.

Kainjy said:

Introducing the Daz to Blender Bridge & native Blender File FormatsDid DAZ "fix" the Blender bridge so that it no longer asks the level of subdivision or anything else? Brand new install: Windows 11, i9-9900K CPU, GTX 660 Ti GPU, 128 GB of DRAM. Load the figure in and activate the bridge. No questions, just BAM - it does what it needs to.
No morphs get copied. It also uttely destroys the scene that the figure came from, because it resets the character. (I have an age morph on the character, because the story she's in needs her at 13, 18, and as an adult, so I have all three. Set her up as an adult and then used the aging morphs available from DAZ. If I load the 18YO version and send it to Blender, it resets her to adult version FIRST before sending.
If it's a config mistake, then it's inherent in the bridge, because this is out of the box response from it. (I don't even have a place to tell it which way is up, so that the character showed up in Blender flat on its face.)
Is this a way of convincing us that Diffeomorphic is the REAL way to go? Because I'm giving some SERIOUS thought into looking into that one if this is how the fresh install version of the DAZ to Blender bridge works. (And gives me some despair at what the Unity and Unreal bridges are going to do, since I haven't tested them yet.
XTransfer Module 1- Genesis 3 to Genesis 8 Morph Converter (Commercial)Is this going to be fixed for 4.20? Every morph I try crashes daz and then it turns out a jumbled mess. It works fine in 4.16 I have to use my old computer with 4.16 to transfer then use flash drive to bring it to my new one, a huge pain
Young Wizard Outfit Question --- SOLVED!It would have been nice if they had included a morph to hide those elements.
Opinions on character look when using geoshells...outrider42 said:
I like the ones without the undies. Since they are abstract, the clothing actually becomes distracting IMO.
First remove any normal and bump maps from the models and see how that looks. You can also use morphs on the Genesis figures to smooth out things. The geoshell will follow the morphs you use, so if the morph is smooth, then the geoshell will be smooth.. That is how I would tackle it, change the Genesis model not the geoshell. There should be plenty of morphs to alter the shape of the models enough to smooth out the details. Various toon or doll shapes could probably do the trick, perhaps dialed in just a little bit. I think Sakura even had morphs specifically to smooth out some spots, like abs and feet, though they are meant for the Sakura shape, not the default.
If you know how to do some modeling, you can make your own morph to do what want. You can use the Hexagon bridge and send one to Hexagon, bust out the smoothing tool, and send it back. Then save as a new morph.
Another thing can be your material setup. The reflections can make details pop out more, so messing with the gloss settings might help. Or make them slightly glow a little, or a material that gives them an ethereal quality.
Those are super great suggestions outrider42! Thanks heaps!

I had tried morphs first, but couldn't target just the abs or specific areas. I'm using M6/V6 so I could use some specific pose packs with them, and many of the body morphs changed them so much, it meant too much reworking of the many poses. I'll revisit the morphs in case I overlooked any that might work.
But Hexagon and smoothing out the morph?! That sounds like a great alternative and I guess I might as well do a little crash course and figure out how to tackle that. I've only tried out Hexagon a couple of times, but it'll be useful for other things, so no better time to learn.
The material set-up and glow is another great idea. Their colors and reflective look is meant to fit with some 80s vibes, so I'll experiment and see what might work there. Thanks again for the very helpful suggestions!

Where to start in the Daz Store? As Richard said, what you need will depend largely on what skills you already have, if any. Some absolutely critical tools are the base morph packs for whatever generation you're working with, and it's advisable to stick with a single generation, whichever one you choose. For example, if you choose Genesis 8, you'll need the following:
https://www.daz3d.com/genesis-8-female-body-morphs
https://www.daz3d.com/genesis-8-male-body-morphs
https://www.daz3d.com/genesis-8-female-head-morphs
https://www.daz3d.com/genesis-8-male-head-morphs
On top of those, I'd recommend 200 Plus, which gives you a ton of extra morphs for building character faces from scratch, and since you're going to be working mainly with younger characters, also Growing Up. There aren't a lot of younger characters in the Daz store, so you'd be better off buying adult characters and making them younger. Beyond that, it's a matter of what suits your needs. Personally, I never buy pose packs because I find posing easy and can just do it myself; also, I tend toward poses that are not likely to be represented in the store.
Where to start in the Daz Store? To an extent that is a matter of taste and skills - you could, in principle, make any of those yourself. Several characters or a few morph sets would allow you to set up different bodies and faces, characters would give you skins (or you could use Skin Builder, though it has only a female version for Genesis 8 so whether it would cover the male characters would depend on their age). Poses are not that hard to make if you have the eye, and they don't require any external tools, but having soem sets as starting points may be a time-saver - just bear in mind that a lot of sets lean pin-uppy, which isn't going to suit YA characters.

Interesting, I created & saved a profile as a test and made sure the related resources where included.
The resources under the shaping tab do not apear but can be loaded and do function.
Is this how it should work? (note: it does work when I load from content)
Not sure what you mean. The open/merge do not really work with shape presets as shape presets just set a property value. If the morph and its property value have not been previously loaded by DS, there is nothing to set even if the open/merge reset the morph to enabled.
AIUTO...CHI CONOSCE L’ITALIANO? PARTE TREDICIPiù che altro non vedo asset per alcuni prodotti:
- DAZ Dragon
- DAZ Horse
- DAZ Big Cats/Dog
- Centaur Male/Female

I know you want it to close right off the shelf, but depending on the topology, rigging it to close in studio or making a closing morph in your modeler of choice might not be too hard.
When I first found the Poser community 15 or 20 years ago, it was through the superhero rendering side of things, and none of the superhero stuff anyone needed was ever available to buy anywhere back then, so the people who wanted to render their favorite comic characters had to learn how to make the content they needed.
I'm lucky it was that way.I was a highschool literature teacher for 13 years. The school I taught at reopened right away after the initial three month COVID closing. My son's school didn't reopen for a whole other year. I returned to my classroom in August of 2020. Went on leave October of 2020 to take care of my son and tend to his education and resigned in January 2021. I could do that because, by that last year of teaching, my Daz income from my hobby was 3/4 of my teaching income. Now I do Daz content full time and make more than I did in the classroom with a lot fewer hours and endlessly less drama.
So to summarize, I'm sorry the product doesn't do what you want. Learning things is good.
I definitely could rig it
was not disparaging it, just giving my reasons it is less tempting, still may buy it yet.
assuming you made it?
suggested improvement not criticism
bag does not open either

I too model stuff (not as well as you) but if I model something myself I don't need to buy it do I

I buy stuff better than I can model myself
Downloading OptionsYears ago when it was Daz 4.10, I just downloaded the program and install it normally. I used the default locations. Since then I used IM to download anything I purchased.
I installed the program into my new computer in its default locations as well.
I purchased a few items from 3rd party sites that I knew IM wouldn't be able to get. That's why I was trying to transfer the files. I also made several new figures using the Face Transfer add-on, as well made custom ones using the, rats...I forgot the name. It's the add-on for changing the facial features.
Downloading OptionsThanks for getting back. First, I did a little digging and found an older post saying you can't select all in Daz Central because it doesn't have one. I did see your response with the link for DAZ IM.
I tired to start using IM but my new computer keeps going to sleep after a while of downloading and halting the project. I'm going to have to talk to tech support about that.|
I'm not following much of what you asked. What I did was transfer the DAZ 3D folder from the Documents folder. I thought there might be more I need to transfer but I don't know what and where to find them. Is there a post in the permanent posting in Daz Studio Discussion that covers this?
