Daz central and older items
Doesn't appear to be one in Daz Central, I have lots of older content going right back to V3 I just wondered if there was a way to remove or hide them from Daz Studio Assets
Thanks
Daz Central questionIf "Daz Central" is the only install method listed it usually means there are no files associated with the product, which is definitely a matter for support.
Daz Central questionThere is ONE product of all the kazillions I've purchased here where the download options appear at the very bottom of the page.
I am not aware of there ever being times when "only" Daz Central can be used for downloading so yes, if I were you I would certainly contact support. They can manually put things right.
Daz central and older itemsIs there a way to hide or remove older items from Daz Central?
Thanks in advance
Daz CentralI fixed it, I had two separte accounts on daz, the first one that i bought ton of stuff on, and its email is discontinue, the second one which i logged onto daz central is my newest one.I tried to get daz put them toughter years ago, and they said no just use your current one and they put it together on the site , not daz but just on the site
Daz CentralYes,its daz central
Daz Central questionThis didn't for some reason, Bryce does but this seemed to want me to use Daz Central. It was the only choice I could see. I might have to do a screenshot and contact support about it.
How the heck do you download this software?!I'm looking at doing this also. I found that by going to your product library and listing Bryce in the filter that I get download links after clicking on the product I want. Unfortunately that doesnt happen for Vue and it's asking me to install Daz Central.
Daz Central questionHi, I'm back after a long break from ds and I want to download Vue Frontier which I bought here. However the only way seems to be via Daz Central.
Can anyone explain to me what this is and the pros and cons of using it?
I would prefer to do a manual download as I already have DIM installed. Is there any way to do a manual download on items?
thanks for reading

Daz CentralOK, you didn't mention that. So, you have Daz Central installed - did you copy content or settingsa cross from the old machine? Is it actually Daz Central that is shwoing your content as already installed?
dForce HD Wet and Dry Baby Doll Outfit ProblemI get the same nonsense error when applying a texture to the babydoll dress. It pops up and states that i'm missing files. This isn't the promo scene. just the dress. I've used daz central to install. Now in that same window is an option to install directed. We'll see how that goes
Daz CentralYou mean Daz Central is showing all your products as installed? Had you reviously installed them with Install Manager - they use the same data.
Daz CentralI have it, but it says "uninstall" for my products.
But there isn't anything install, and once again how do i get past that???

Duplicate formulas again after reinstalling 'Big Expressive 8.1 for Genesis 8.1 Male' from Neikdian.
As I described in an earlier messages, I completely reinstalled DAZ Studio and my Library.
After I installed 'Big Expressive 8.1 for Genesis 8.1 Male' from Neikdian again, the "Duplicate Formulas found..." message returns.
When I remove all Neikdian related files, the issue disappears again.I remeber that Sithlorsims once informed me that the character "Archie" (Renderosity) could give the "Duplicate formulas found" issue and Sithlordsims updated "Archie".
All other issues are resolved (mainly 'Files not found' after the clean installation of DAZ Central and my Library (using DIM).
I am not an expert, but my simple logic tells me that probably Neikdian's 'Big Expressive 8.1 for Genesis 8.1 Male' is causing the issue.
Are there any other users having issues, or is it just me?I had the same issue and decided to return the product.

First, halt! Don't do anything drastic. You should pick a method of install. It does make a difference how you install. Very quickly:
Daz Central is very easy but little to no flexibility about where you install
DIM a little more complicated (not much more) and you decide where you will install; there are some things that can only be installed via DIM (generally scripts)Next, once you decide, deinstall content installed by the method you don't want to choose (we can give you those details when you decide), and reinstall by the method you do want to use. Rebuild metadata and you are done.... it isn't a big problem to fix but having duplicates causes conflicts and wastes disk space.
Thanks for your reply, greatly appreciated.

I had no issue installing D/Central on the D:/drive. However! This could've caused an issue as explained above. I am waiting for tech support or forum staff to answer. Library management software also known in other circles as HUB can be installed on the C:\drive (NVME SSD) because it does not take up much space, whereas all content libraries can go on the D:\drive (SSD), it plenty fast enough.

I am curious about what you said: "Next, once you decide, deinstall content installed by the method you don't want to choose (we can give you those details when you decide), and reinstall by the method you do want to use. I would like those details. I will likely do a thorough uninstall of all DAZ.
I am considering upgrading my custom build, UEFI and other updates, that includes an upgrade from GTX 1660Ti to RTX with more oomph, and a fresh clean, full retail install of Windows 10 Pro (yeah, I paid $200 for that version of Windows) currently in use. My current Asus Hero motherboard can be configured on path for upgrade to Windows 11, but I will skip that until a much later time in the future, as I plan further 'major' upgrade to MeteorLake by late 2023, probably early 2024 and of course that will require a new motherboard. I could put this beast together while blindfolded with one arm behind my back.

All my documents, projects and content libraries are on the D:\drive, and that's where I want em.
I am concerned about what you said reagarding Duplicates (installed), troubling because I sent Tech Support Ticket a week ago, I also replied again but still waiting for their reply. Zzzzz
they must be very busy. What I also like to know is, how did I end up with duplicates (DAZCentral and DIM), this was not intentional! That is the mystery I would like to solve so it does not happen again, and so that others don't fall into that rabbit hole.
Again, Thanks for your reply! Cheers

Are there any other users having issues, or is it just me?It doesn't have to be a single-product issue (it can be, but it isn't usually). Usually the issue is a naming clash between two different sets, looking at the log to find the name that is causing the issue and then identifying which, if any, othe set is suing the same name will ofer two things that can be flagged to their store/maker for adjustment, hopefully at least one would be renamed.

Are there any other users having issues, or is it just me?How do you organise your content?Nyghtfall3D said:
I install everything manually. Here's a breakdown of my process:
1. Download content to a central Downloads folder, into an assigned sub-folder for maintaining backups
2. Copy zipped content to a Test folder and re-organize as desired, removing all vendor vanity folders
3. Move re-organnized content to main Library and happy rendering
I do basically the same, but I keep some vanity folders since it's sometimes easier for me to find stuff that way(it depends though)... also, it's not always happy rendering... there is often a lot of cursing and mouse slamming.
Need help installing new product. It is a merchant resource - a set of files that can be used to create new texture sets for characters, which may (subject to the restrictionss et out on the product page) be sold. It isn't set up to be applied diectly to a character (which is why it doesn't apear in Daz Central).
You can use it by dragging the maps onto the relevant body parts, or onto the properties in the Surfaces pane with model and surface selected.
