why the color of primitive change to black when switch to filament PBR
Please look at the view when switch to different drawing style option like Texture shaded & Filament (PBR)
Remixing your art with AIvideo so far
the weapons scaled up slightly with figures hidden rendered with Filament then batch processed through Stable Diffusion
sandwiched between background and iray rendered actors with screen blending
why the color of primitive change to black when switch to filament PBRwhy the color of primitive change to black from base color when switch to filament (PBR) while working good with same color in others Draw style Options like Texture,Smooth etc i
Stripes on face transferYou're using Filament drawstyle... how about Texture Shaded (Ctrl + 9) or iray Preview (Ctrl + 0) ? The same ?
Daz Studio 4.22[.0.x] Pro, General Release!Recently almost every time I switch to filament DAZ Studio crashes.
How to make skin totally black like almost 2D?Use a Dev Load, set Base Color of all Surfaces to 0,0,0 and Zero Glossy Layer Weight... then you'll get a pitch black... even with Filament or Iray drawstyles...

well this just confuses stuff further
obviously not strandbased but instead of Dforce now calling Dynamic?
I was also somewhat puzzled about the naming.
It doesn't mention dForce, so I wonder if "dynamic" just covers over some morphs.
The hair is not dForce and only has a few basic morphs. To call that "dynamic" is bold. But for 3 bucks it's okay, so I didn't complain.
yeah, I puppeteered the wind
video is filament (looks better in iray)
and slomo as those sleeves exploded 100 frames in so extended what I had
What happened to "preview lights"It's working for me - by default it is on, and DS tries to show a previwe of the lighting in Texture Sahded mode. Turn it of (cmd/ctrl L or using the Window menu) amd it switches to a pseudo-headlamp.It doesn't do anything in Iray/Filament peview modes, it doesn't do anything for emissive lights.

I agree 100%! I haven't updated my Nvidia driver since 2015 and haven't had a single iRay problem in over eight years.
And you can use dForce with the same driver?
Oh heck no! My apologies, I was being semi-facetious. I did install an Nvidia driver on my 2012 iMac with an Nvidia chip back in 2015 and tested iRay with that card at the time. I decided to stick with 3DL and OpenGL (and someday, Filament with DAZ Studio 5). iRay is very impressive and the things people are doing with it here are nothing short of amazing, but it's just not for me.
I'd started out with what I thought was a reason why it might not work to have a dialog box pop up regarding drivers that might be newer than is being used but still be compatible as drivers improve, and when asked why anyone would update their driver if the one they had worked and I listed a few examples of why that might be.
Again, my apologies for interrupting more serious discussions with my last, more frivolous comment, I'll step back.
Monochrome and black and white imageryIt may well jusat be postwork, but the Tonemapping settings (they appear after a render, Iray or Filament Preview, or after creating the settings node explicitly) do include a Saturation setting which can be used to reduce or remove colour.

P4 Dork is out of the Graveyard - Carrara to SD workflow - warning AI discussionI am doing this a lot, but gasp, using DAZ studio with Filament
, so cannot share herethere is a thread in Art Studio I do though so no problems
https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/591121/remixing-your-art-with-ai#latestthis video sort of can be shared here as a Carrara Howie Farkes Tea Garden video was used in Stable Diffusion Deforum for the background
Bunny is DAZ studio iray however
Why do you use Strand Based Hair?it's good for fur IMO and since I don't even simulate the PA SBH for fur I can use it myself to make my own with no issues either
head hair I like clothbased because I can tweak and edit it, PA hairs that is, (as well as make my own but that is rare) I will only use the SBH editor for updos, buns, etc that don't need simulation myself (because obviously I cannot
)otherwise I use Fibermesh with morphs I animate but again rare, I create little bits and bobs like wisps for under hoods mostly when I cannot find something in my huge library of DAZ hairs!
I do use Standbased in Filament but it has a habit of disappearing in animation
as it is the only feature that is good about it is simulation for animation but since DAZ limits what can be done there I mostly just use Carrara with it's dynamic hair instead
because 99% of my uses for hair are unconventional, not something one can buy ie grasses, rugs etc (want for specific uses on terrains etc so no PA product)
I will always buy geometry based hairs especialy AprilYSH hairs

►►► aniMate 2 - Real aniMating Power for Daz Studio!aniMate 2 is a great animation tool for Daz Studio that I like to think of as "Carrara NLA (non-linear animation) for Daz Studio", but with some really fun automated features built into it.
Of course we all know that we can use it to add aniBlocks to our figures to have them... well... move around. aniBlocks are very much like the NLA Clips of Carrara as they contain whatever motion data we decide to store into them. We'll get more into that later, but the paid version of aniMate 2 allows us to write data from our Daz Studio Timeline into new aniBlocks that we can conveniently store to our libraries. These can be whole-figure animations or just - what I like to call "Partials" - aniBlocks that only contain motion data for, say, arms or legs or head and neck or... well, you get the idea.aniMate 2 +, which is the paid version available at the store (now simply called aniMate 2) and was introduced somewhere around 13 years ago in it's newer form - has a Lot of additional functions and features that are often overlooked. I'm not entirely sure what the free version has or doesn't have because aniMate 2+ was one of my very first purchases at Daz 3d.
In the next many posts we'll explore some of these "hidden features and functions" so that we can all start getting more beneficial workflows toward making our characters really stand out as something special - breathe life into them.
In my Dynamic Character Animation Course for Daz Studio, I go through an entire workflow of my typical customized animation process from start to finish. So if you want to see how I work between aniMate 2+ and the Daz Studio Timeline to get my custom "Living" animations set up, that's been put together in a way that drives us through an entire workflow first - a process that spans three full videos from an unposed character through the entire animation workflow in both aniMate 2+ as well as Daz Studio's Timeline, setting up for dForce simulations, rendering the whole thing out and a basic job compositing the character render over a separate rendered backdrop (using DaVinci Resolve's Fusion - Free version). After the three workflow videos are a second set of six videos covering these techniques in greater detail and two Bonus Behind-the-Scenes looks at the making of this video:
I did the course in that order because I felt it would be the quickest way to grasp how to Easily Animate in Daz Studio - since it really isn't set up like any of the other traditional animation solutions. My workflow takes the unfriendly aspect of animation woes out of the equation and actually makes animating fun, efficient and powerful.
Why? Because I like Daz Studio and all that it offers for Daz 3d content. Being able to Enjoy animating is paramount for me because I don't really render still life images, but moving pictures.
Being able to have fun animating and rendering those animations using Daz Studio is really powerful! No more compatibility issues with content - it's all made to work in Studio!

Using zaz777's amazing animated pose conversion script along with the necessary rsg's "Updated: Daz Studio Posing Scripts (now for G3F)" available on sharecg.com has brought great results for me over the couple years I've been working in Daz Studio for animation.
If using Mixamo animation FBX
3D Universe's Daz Studio Animation Tools Set 1 includes a tool called Body2Hip
Run this on the FBX result Before saving the animated pose, and you'll enjoy Massive Improvements!!!
Use is simple: Select figure (I just select the imported FBX figure) then run Body2Hip
I had converted a lot of my Mixamo FBX downloads to Victoria 7 using Zaz777's conversion script (see below), and they work great. But they're for Victoria 7, so to use them on Rosie 8, I'd either use the G3F to G8F World's Greatest Pose Convertor pose dials or run a Bone Minion. (there's also G3M to G8M World's Greatest Pose Convertor for our male figures)
Rather than using the Victoria 7 conversions I already made I decided to just use my new Genesis 2 Pose Bone Minion to start from scratch with the original Mixamo FBX downloads. (I purchased the Genesis 2 Pose bone Minion Bundle so that I can easily translate my Mixamo FBX downloads to Any of my Daz 3d Figure generations from M4 and V4 through Genesis 8.1)

Polaris PropsAIUTO...CHI CONOSCE L’ITALIANO?

Carrara gets updated compatibility and a shiny new PBR engine - perhaps a filament option as well?
I really like them as they are - as long as they keep working. But I think that updated shiny new versions of these would really help the diversity aspect of the great Daz 3d.
