UV Setter for Genesis 2: Revised and Updated
Do you have the Michael 4 UV set for Genesis 2 male? The script allows switching of UV sets thata re installed - it doesn't add new sets.
Ok, so I think I figured it out. Got the UV set to Michael 4 now. But I the seems still are not lining up 100%. Basically the seams are just a tad off. It is pretty close though. Much better than before. I think I might need to alter the diffuse maps in Photoshop perhaps.
Noob problems installing DSON on Mac.. please help!Hi thanks again so much for getting back to me.
I have manually installed the DSON Importer, although I don't really understand how it works or what it does. I just can see "DSON" is now a tab in "Scripts". I am having alot of problems with the official Daz3d Installer App so I just gave up with it.
I went to the Daz3D website and located my purchases and manually unzipped Michael 4's file, then created a file called "Characters" within the Poser 11 App file on my Mac. Then I put Michael's files in it.
I went into Poser and I clicked on "Add library" and then went into the newly created Character file and located Michael's file, then selected his "Runtime" file as the location. Poser then added a new "Content" tab in the library and Michael was available. I put him in the scene and he worked, was textured, etc.
I then maunally downloaded Hiro 4's files and unzipped them. I put them in the "Poser 11 App" files in my new "Characters" files alongside Michael 4's.
Then I went into Poser, pressed add new library thing, located Hiro 4's Runtime File and Poser added another new "Content" tab which included Hiro 4.
I dragged Hiro 4 from the library and held the mouse over Michael 4 in the scene. It said "Load Hiro onto Michael and Conform?" or something and then loaded up Hiro. He was put in place but he is Greay and has no eyes and Michaels body overlaps him mostly.
I tried shifting files about and stuff but I keep getting the same problem.
Maybe I need to try and work out how to get the stupid Installer to work properly...
I am such a Noob... sigh. Any ideas what I am doing wrong?
Thank you!
Noob problems installing DSON on Mac.. please help!Michael 4 is in Poser format already, no need for the DSON Importer - anything for the fourth geenration Daz figures or earlier is Poser format. Check the What's Included on the product page for file formats. Which Hiro was this? Hiro 4 is a shape for Michael 4, and if you load the separate figure it should still come in textured.
Noob problems installing DSON on Mac.. please help! Thanks for getting back to me. I couldn't even figure out what a DIM was mate, but I have managed to install the figures manually (I think?) into Poser.
I have loaded the Michael 4 figure in the scene, and when I put the Hiro character on him and select it to conform, the Hiro appears in the scene but he is grey not coloured. I am trying to work out how to merge the characters in the same way you conform or parent clothing or objects.
I'm so confused... :( there is so little information online about Poser 11 and how to bring DAZ models into it, its a nightmare!

Noob problems installing DSON on Mac.. please help!Hi I am a bit of a noob so forgive me, but I'd massively appreciate anyone's help...
I am having the same problem trying to install DSON Importer to a Mac. I have Poser 11 and I'm pretty sure I have the most recent version of DSON. In another feed, a user had this problem.
I have set the Poser installation path on the DIM correctly but keep getting an installation fail with the following error:
What should the installation path be, and where is the DIM accessed from? He resolved it by lying about the version of Poser to make this install work, but I cant find the DIM or know what the 'path' should be...
I want to use the HIRO 4 character in Poser, so I have bought Michael 4. But I literally have spent all afternoon trying to figure out this and I am no closer to getting a Hiro character in Poser. Even if and when I get this DSON thing installed, I'm already freaking out how complicated it will probably be at the next step just to get Hiro in Poser.
I'm going crazy... please help!!!! Anybody!
Thanks!
"Get Them While You Can!" If Not… Well… "There's Always Another Sale™"In my Pose directory I have a folder called !Daz's Skeleton which contains materials and transperency settings for the M4 skeleton and V4 skeleton prop.
So... where would the actual SKELETON object be?
In "Figures\Daz Skeleton".
I don't know for sure if I actually have any figures in the Pose library, or the Materials library. I don't completely understand the archane and mystical reasons why some content was put in some places at some time in the legacy of Poser and DAZ development that got us to where we are today. If I knew for sure that things were in a certain place, I wouldn't be ranting like this. I just sacrifice a chicken under a full moon and then click blindly in my content library and then render whatever shows up in my Viewport.
Or you know, doing what @Divamakeup taught me to do... spending hours creating a Favorites database where I've manually organized the Pose\!Daz's Skeleton and Figures\Daz Skeleton directories into a folder structure Figures\M4\Anatomy and Figures\V4\Anatomy...
On ReadMes... who knows if a readme is actually part of the installed files? Look at Installed files and scroll through a list looking for the one file that has .pdf, .html or .txt after it...
I just dug through my DIM Installed Files lists for 10 minutes before I found content that includes a readme...
NGS Anagenessis 2, which includes:
"\ReadMe's\35273_n.g.s.-anagenessis-2-revolution-user-guide.pdf"
Maybe there is a Read Me file... and maybe I just have to click the "i" information icon in DIM, and maybe I can launch the documentation right from within DAZ3d, or maybe those options will generate a "page not found" or placeholder that no documentation exists, or it is a WIP, depending on when the content was made... and that is just for DAZ3D store content. If it is a freebie or content from one of the other stores... well... that might be in Documents, or Dokument, or Read ME or read_me or docs or...
http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/read_me/index/12276/start
Just... for example...Well, the skeleton is old - but I think there were a few Daz main items which did the !Daz thing (not sure Victoria 4 and Michael 4 didn't too). However, for the most part they don't and certainly shouldn't on anything at all recent (files may have the !, or leading numbers, to promote them within a folder).
Nowadyas the readmes are online, accessed via the i in DIM or right-click in DS, but when they were part of the isntall package the main read me had a name derived from the product and all documentation would be in readme's or a subfolder (and that apostrofly made me twitch every time).
Wonder Woman OutfitSorry for jumping in here folks, but I was SO desperate for this after seeing the character posted on Daz. As a relative newbee who doesn't own V4, are you saying there is some kind of addon that will allow me to convert V4 stuff to Gen 3 or 8? I'd love to do that, not only with this, but with other clothing items I see offered.
You can use autofit to convert V4 clothes to newer figures.
You can do it in steps using the various versions of Genesis as each one has a clone for the previous figure: so to go from V4 to G3F you would do V4 to G1, then autofit the result to G2F, then autofit the result to G3F. For V4 to G8F you could do V4 to G1 then autofit the result to G8F.
If you want a more direct method you will need a V4 clone for your G3F or G8F figure:
This will give you autofit clones to convert items for some older figures (including V4) to G3F: https://www.daz3d.com/wear-them-all-autofitting-clones-and-clothing-smoothers-for-genesis-3-female-s
This one give you V4 and M4 clones for G8: https://www.daz3d.com/sy-victoria-4-and-michael-4-clones-for-genesis-8
Difference between Sickleyield's Ultra Templates and Clones?Could someone familiar with these products help me out? I'm new to Daz and just figuring things out.
I'm trying to discern the difference between these two products:
https://www.daz3d.com/sy-victoria-4-and-michael-4-clones-for-genesis-8
https://www.daz3d.com/sy-ultra-templates-genesis-8-female-s
I get that one is a clone for male and female V4/M4 to Gen8, and the other is specifically for Gen8 females, but other than that, how does the functionality differ? The bulk of my products are either Gen8 or V4/M4, so being able to use the older clothes on the newer models would be fantastic. A few clothing items I can finagle with fitting to the model, but most leave a lot to be desired.
But I can't puzzle out what's different between the two products, from a functional standpoint. Or is it just that one is for the female version of everything prior to Gen8, while the other is male and female specifically for V4/M4, making it a question not of what the product does, but who it's for?
Thank you for any expertise you can offer!
GEN 4 CharactersJust wondering why you cannot install GEN 4 characters like Victoria/Michael 4 from the DAZ Studio Install Tab but your can GEN 3 or Michael/Victoria 5 etc? Thanks!!
Streaming game made with DAZ productsAt 10am Pacific time I'm gonna be streaming my game Night Vigil on twitch. https://www.twitch.tv/drewradley

It was made using Michael 4, Victoria 4 and lots of other DAZ origanls.
Michael 4 Shapes++ don't appear in parameters tab after loading. So which content directories have Michael 4 in them?
SCI-FI CelebrationA still frame from an old past project. Michael 4 in the Major Cache Suit hee hee.
Michael 4 Shapes++ don't appear in parameters tab after loading.Yes, in both DS3 and DS4 I use the following path to load the assets:
Figures > People > Michael 4
Pose > Michael 4 > Morph Injections > INJ Morphs ++ M4
When I load M4 into the scene, the default parameters he has are:
General
>Transforms
>>Translation
>>Rotation
>>Scale
>Misc
>Mesh Resolution
Display
>Rendering
>Scene View
>>BonesWhen I add the Morphs++ these parameters don't change.
Why is Spencer for M4 Green?I recently purchased Spencer for Michael 4. I apply the morphs and the full mat Spencer on M4 and he's green. Why?
Michael 4 Shapes++ don't appear in parameters tab after loading.Do you have the Power Loader script installed but not showing? If so (if there's a scroll icon on the Michael 4 thumbnail in Poser Fomrats>folder>Figures>DAZ People) try holding down the ctrl/cmd key as your double-click so that the dialogue displays and you can check its settings.
Michael 4 Shapes++ don't appear in parameters tab after loading.Remove power loader and then you can find everything again.
I think the powerloader used to work well with earlier versions of Daz, but
the newest Daz absolutely hates it.
I had to remove it just so I could find Michael 4 models
Michael 4 Shapes++ don't appear in parameters tab after loading. The DzCreateExPFiles-m4 script needs to be run before loading Michael 4 and trying to inject the morphs - it isn't doing anything database related so it doesn't matter whether DS is open or not.
Michael 4 Shapes++ don't appear in parameters tab after loading.Hello, I recently purchased the morphs for the M4 model and am having trouble getting them to show up in DAZ studio. Normally, when I add morphs to V4, I add her base model to the scene, then select her figure and double click on her morphs++ and it loads the morph dials into the paramters tab. However, with M4 I do the same thing, and while it looks like DS is loading the morph files like normal, when it's finished, the dials are nowhere to be found. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling M4 and his morphs, and I've tried using the powerloader when I first load M4 into the scene, but it's still causing the same problem. Has anyone encountered something similar to this? I'm using a windows computer with DS 4.9.
Wanderer's OasisGlad you got Ultraman fixed. And hey, I like your posing Ultramen image. I had something similar happen to a figure from the Daz store. It turns out there were two versions, one for Daz Studio and one or Poser. The Daz version worked fine, but some body parts of the version rigged for Poser were not appearing at all. Very strange because the Poser rigged should have worked - it was fom an early enough version.. Victoria 4 an Michael 4 have the same type of rigging. In any case, looking forward to seeing Ultraman defeat some monsters.
