Genx2 Victoria not showing up as a source
I have GenX2 and G2 and G3 addons installed.
Under "source," I have Genesis, Genesis 2, and Genesis 3 to choose from, but no Victoria 4.
V4 is installed.
How do I tell GenX2 to load her?
4000 poly decimation goal...I think Victoria 4 had a Level of Detail of 4K so you could use her, under resulotion select the LOD 4K. Can't really use all the newest stuff with her but there's a ton of content for V4.
Transfer Active MorphsWhy does "Transfer active morphs" copy facial dials to a bodysuit? I keep seeing this happen with Victoria 4 and her bodysuit which came from DAZ. I can delete them one at a time, it's just that I applied "navel gone" and had to transfer again and those dials are back.
Also, is there a way to prevent it or to remove the ones that don't apply?
Carrara CharactersSo why try and compete with Daz Studio figures?
Do something entirely original! That's kind of why I brought up 3DU's Generation Toons. Not to say to make Toon figures, but to put it out there that, at the time, Generations didn't have a whole lot of competition in that field.
I would bet that Vyusur's Dino would make a LOT of sales. maybe not compareable to, say Victoria 7, but possibly more than something else, like a spider or something. Look for gaps in what's currently available.
Then, instead of just having the figure, have it come with it's own scene presets. Make a Carrara-specific figure release something much more than what other offering are getting the user. For example, the Dino could come with a small outdoor scene with some trees and a drinking pond (?)

Spy Game Poses....RELEASED... [Commercial]"....The Dspy HQ is to blame for the bad operating activities followed the theft of the hard disk. Victoria meets Jude McMillan, the new head office for relations with the Intelligence, which has already established early retirement within a few months. Victoria, furious, in returning to her office, is informed that someone is trying to access data encrypted drive with its headquarters, even from her desk: the woman comes to a step from home but was stopped by police who blocked traffic. Moments later, we are witnessing an explosion of much of the Dspy headquarters, including its office; event dies eight of his closest associates....it's time to ope the spy games"

Postwork: Rendered in non-photorealistic renderer, and then a regular render to get multipasses for shadows andother elements combined in image editor.
Best hair for close-up (i.e. portraiture) rendering?OOT, imo, has the most realistic looking hair right now. Other hairs, while some come close, just don't quite match that level of realism - again, just my opinion. Although, depending on the shaders, you CAN get pretty close to realism with some of the older hair even. Like the hair in my icon pic - that's a hair made for Victoria 4. So, yeah, a lot of the time it comes down to the shader.
How to make character mouth/lips open slightlyhttp://www.daz3d.com/fw-scarlett-hd-for-victoria-7
In the main pic, the character seems to have their mouth/lips open slightly. some even have pouts. How do you do it normally? using facial expression presets? or manually moving the lips/mouth in the character facial adjustment tab?
Thank you
What hair on Scarlett HD for V7what hair for the character on the right in main pic? http://www.daz3d.com/fw-scarlett-hd-for-victoria-7
Thanks
Carrara CharactersYeah, believe it or not, I still have some of those old millenium woman obj morphs (Victoria 1) on my computer. I fired up Poser, loaded Victoria 1, chose the head, and then went through the steps of loading a morph by obj. Here, I loaded a morph called elf ears 3. Wow, we thought that was amazing back in the day. Probably should have deleted these files as part of a geenral cleanup of my drive.
The same way of offering morphs could be done with a Carrara native figure. The only issue is lack of batch installation, as Misty has pointed out.
How to rig clothes and hair onto Victoria 4.2 figure? Is there a way to rig clothes onto a Victoria 4.2 figure so that when moving body parts (posing) the clothing moves with the body parts?
Flash Sale Alerts IIOh, Oh , oh....those other products are the pro bundle. I didn't see that.
I have Victoria 7 and Michael ....4 (I think) and I didn't recognize the figures.
I was looking for earlier versions of THOSE characters. lol
Okay. I'm sold!
Oh wait....that means that's the price for this whole month...I'll hold on and see if it ever combines with anything later on...
Flash Sale Alerts IIAs a Bonus Buyer and PC+ Member I got ....
Can't be just that, my cart shows $24.57
------------------------------------------
The Michael 5 doesn't seem to be the pro bundle. and I don't see anything Victoria mentioned at all. You sure?
I count 33 included items (including the software iteself)
And...and....I do intend to try my hand at animation very soon (have been looking at the iClone software), read through the other threads comparing the Daz,iClone - with some knocks against Carrara as being totallly different GUI from Daz, somewhat unsupported and a little old. (Everything is for Genesis and Genesis 2)
BUT! Is it worth it at these prices- and even for the added content, alone. Am I right in assuming all that content will be in my Daz runtime?
And if so, if anyone knows, does the included goodies show up like native bundles/products/purchases or in some (hidden) sub-category like poser stuff or 'other format products'...?
As corny as I sound, for $24, I'm like "Do I REAAAALLLLY Need this?"
But for $12 it seems like it's worth the inve$tment, even if I don't use it deeply or switch to iClone later.
Sketchy - Toon and Art Style Shaders for Iray [Commercial]I have been know to say in the past that to get toon renders out of Iray is a bit like driving a nail with a sponge cake. The sponge cakes must be pretty solid where you come from DT. Congrats on the product.
Here is my humble contribution. I post original render and sketchified render for comparison. I did not use the sketchy shaders on the eyes, but left them as my toon style eyes that were originaly made specifically to be used in conjunction with specialty render style shaders such as these.
Oh hey, one more note-when I apllied any of the 01 Full Shaders to my Keiko figure, the UV map bounced to Victoria 4. I had to manually change it back to Genesis 2 Base Female. Is it supposed to be doing that?
Ohhh I like that! That came out really cool!
Those eyes are incredible too. What character is that?
Character morph is straight Keiko 6 with skin, eyebrows and eyes from http://www.daz3d.com/dg-iray-toon-styles-for-genesis-2.
Oh man! I want those - they look so good with this Sketchy program. Hopefully it will go on sale soon. heheh :) I've spent too much lately to pay full price. Not that they don't look worth the price. I'm sure they're worth every penny.
Thanks, DG! I'm looking forward to getting it. I think that it will make a wonderful companion to the Sketchy shaders.
No probelm my dear. Now let us not hijack DT's thread any further. Thanks for posting the fix DT.
Who else has Sketchy renders?

Sunny Leone Look Alike Character In DazHonestly my Friend, Drawing is Drawing whether with a pencil or Dials; and I've 30years with a Pencil. Practice. And work Slow. Take Sunny there, her chin is still too wide, but its maxed on the dial so maybe take that staring point back off a little and add a lil more heart to the face. If I was to give her another go I would also Slant her eyes just a little at the start. The mouth is also still a bit wide, so narrow that just a touch. One good Idea is set a Timer say 90 min or Two hours. Take a Side by side like I have and come back at least an hour later. Its amazing how much jumps out at you with fresh eyes. Use the Sliders to rough things out, but know you'll have to enter exact numbers to get things really tight. So try one, see how it works, then another. Like going to the eye Doctor whats best 25 or 30; 30 ok 30 or 35. 30 again maybe 28 is the ideal chin width. Dont be afraid to crumple and start over, you will have learned from your previous try and the next will very likely be better.
Only so much can be done with the Dials at some point you'll want to save the Obj and work a little deeper in Sculptris or Hexagon; but Genesis is much Friendlier to making morphs this way than Victoria was so you've a leg up there.
For me there is nothing more Satasfying than looking at a face and knowing her Sister would say, Hey thats Sunny!
Sketchy - Toon and Art Style Shaders for Iray [Commercial]I found a problem with the pack - the shaders in the "01 Full Shaders" set have the UV Set saved in the settings. If you have a figure which can use the Victoria 4 UV Set (I have it for all 3 Genesis females), it will change the UV set to the Victoria 4 UV Set. The UV Set can be changed back as a workaround, but the shaders ought to be fixed to have that setting taken out.
I didn't test every shader in the "01 Full Shaders" folder, but the first 5 all had that problem. I spot checked the other folders and didn't encounter the issue so hopefully it's just that one folder.
If the shaders are used on a figure that doesn't have the Victoria 4 UV Set as an option, the UV Set remains unchanged.
I sent a trouble ticket in for this as well.
I'm getting this issue too. I thought it was just me doing something wrong. I'm glad that it's not just me.
