I forgot to say that I'm having that problem with Cathy too. The shape of Cathy and Victoria pops up everytime I open a file or load a new female character into the scene. In order to eliminate that morph I have to open the file, turn down to zero all the morphs of Cathy (or Victoria), save it and do this two more times. Please help me in this one Richard I'm don't know what to do. I have reinstalled the characters and the Daz Studio many times 

What is listed in the controller tab at the bottom of the dialogue is: "ERC [DeltaAdd] > Olympia 7: Cathy". I have attached some images

during my playing with this life saving script :) I found one strange thing.

I used AdalineHD for Victoria 7, resized textures by internal algoritms to med (ImageMagic doesnt work for me).

Result is on the picture bellow. It seems that parts where textures connect each other has some problems.

Please, do you found it as well and is there any solution for it?

BTW, speaking of wishlists. Today and for the rest of March Madness, get your wishes in on characters for which you'd like quickie renders with the lighting I'm using. Most portraits take 8-20 minutes with my computer, so if there's anyone you want to see during MM, nows the time. Other folks may render them for you too. I am still doing weight mapping, so am only doing portraits- but now's a great time to ask away before MM ends!  I just got Hillary and Rane, will see who else I have that is new (to me.) 

If you have her, can you please render FWSA Lexi HD for Rune 7 as a warrior, or in a sci-fi suit like SpartechOps? Thanks! Interested in seeing if she passes the "I'm beautiful but also a badass" figure.

Thanks and no worries, @cismic! Always looking for suggestions. Scarlett looks a bit too much like V7 (prefer not spending money on something so similar to the base figure), whereas Lexi and Brooke are quite different from V7. Thanks! 

I agree on scarlett still like the high cheek bones. :-) And, until I get better and model creation. Keep adding a few for leaning and different renders. Value add. If I see something with value added in addition to moderl that also helps buying decisions.

At any rate, I have no control over what Pa's do, besides buying their products or choosing to avoid them. From what I gather DAZ store managers do have control over what is published here, and their standards are pretty strict.

That said I don't think marketing women's hair products as male content is fair to the customer either.

It is entirely a fit and standards issue which the store needs guidelines for... which is what I mean.  If the design is for a  man, there should be men's fits, and hairline options. If its for ladies I would expect the same. 

I can only imagine the outrage which would occur if the situation were reversed and all of Victoria 7 hairstyles were mostly styles worn by modern men with only masculine hairline options.  This is just an issue that needs to be addressed.

When I load a figure in DS 3, such as Victoria 4.2, it loads without mats.  When I apply a mat, it is barely visible.

Don't have any pics to show, but Dante did a good job of "toughing up" a character based on Raiya's old M4 creation Samson (dragged kicking and screaming into the Genesis 3 era through the magic of GenX2). I don't know whether it was the skin or the other characters I mixed in, but he came out way prettier and less manly than I remember Samson being, and then 25% Dante on the head fixed that.

The Dante/Awan mix on one of the previous pages will give you some idea of what I'm talking about. I assume he'll work equally well on other super-angular Raiya characters, but don't have enough G3M characters from her to be sure.

Based on my own experiences and the pics in this thread, I think he mixes well with others, unlike Mika, who only plays nice with Victoria and the PA characters Monika and Priya! (Admittedly, I don't own Aiko 7 or Girl 7....)

Can you please do an add-on for your G3 retail uniform shirt?  Many public safety 9-1-1 centers have similar uniforms.  Can you convert (or let me know how I can convert) one of the emblems to a "9-1-1 Public Safety Communications" emblem.

Now, about your poses, awhile back, DAZ3D had a contributor named 3Don or Don, who did some excellent poses for earlier Victoria and Michael figures. He did pose packages for law enforcement, military , lifeguard and medic/nurse poses.  Could you do pose packages like these, for the G3 figures?  This is important to me,d as I am a retired 9-1-1 operator, and enjoy creating images for public safety profressionals.

I'm all in favour of new "tail" hairstyles, especially twin-tails, but here is a list of existing low single tails and braid hairs that might be of use... just search (here and elsewhere) for ponytail or tail and you'll get lots of hits. Many are not for G3f but surely autofit will do a fine job.

Hiya! I am not really new but I have been away long enough that 4.9 is shiny newness to me. 

It has been a long time. Back around 08 I enjoyed making textures (still getting feedback on textures I made years ago, lol), playing with shaders, and creating a wide variety of scenes. I love fantasy and sci-fi but never let that passion stop me from exploring other avenues. I was a PC for awhile and the challenges they would post there helped keep me expanding my horizons. I went through a series of computers that did not render well but finally picked up a nice laptop to crunch the scenes. Plus, time. I geek out on the compu-tron for the day job, not graphics related, and it is in a field with high demand and long hours.

Back to Daz! I enjoyed a chunk of the V4 character line - Victoria, Aiko, and Michael for the most part. Still love Aiko 3. Still trying to get everything to load in Daz 4.9, the Aiko base stuff just refuses to become one with the current software. I am really looking forward to learning about 4.9 and am excited to think about what I will be working on.

Anyway, just wanted to wave hello to new folks and anyone who might remember me from before.

Wow, it's that time again! Of course, because I spent all month using old stuff, that's what I picked. I learned so much and developed a new love for Gen 3 and Gen 4. These older products are well made. With a little patience, they are still very useful and beautiful. I have SO MUCH I didn't have time to render! That's the reason this list isn't a mile long.

1. Vega for V3 - Render 1 | Render 2 She is so gorgeous in Iray, and totally changed how I look at older items in the store and how I shop. Between her and "The Dress" for V3, I am now hooked and totally in love with Generation 3. I spent a good part of this month playing with her and with her generation. I plan on doing a lot more with them as I've found they are still very beautiful and useful. I think Vega is easily one of the best V3s out there. 
2. Skadi for V4  Render 1 I fell in love with this outfit when I saw it on RDNA over a year ago, and had it on my wishlist for a very long time. It has so many pieces and textures to it, and it's so well made. I finally picked it up when it moved over to DAZ. It fits very well on both older and newer generations. Here it is on a V7 and a V3. Totally epic. Totally cool! 
3. DA Real World Lighting - Render 1| Render 2 I love the flexibility of this set. It simulates real world lighting very well and is easy to use. Adding a haze softens the lighting nicely. Perfect for real world AND fantasy renders of all kinds. 
4. V3 High Fantasy Character and Clothing Bundle-  Render 1 Don't be fooled by the promos, This older bundle is an incredibly large and versatile set, it comes with multiple pieces of clothing, 2 entire V3 characters (who look very much like Aowyn and Arwin from LOTR.) There are also 14 textures for the MFD, which will work across all generations (working on a render of all of them.) This set is a STEAL.
5. M3 High Fantasy Character and Clothing Bundle- Render 1 This set also comes with two characters, for M3 (they look like Legolas and Aragorn from LOTR.) A very nice, full clothing set with many textures is included.

Other:

1. AlterGlow by Fabiana - Render 1 Unbelievably cool emissive shader system by Fabiana. Lots of ways to use it, that I'm just beginning to explore. Very beautiful in renders. 
2. AlterPlanets by Fabiana- Render 1 I love being able to add glowing planets to renders. Great for sci-fi, fantasy and surreal renders.
3. Pride 2007 for M3 by Mcafee2000- Render 1 A freebie character by Mcafee 2000. Beautifully done and translates well to Iray. 

I agree with you about V4, though I have not played with V3.  Everybody is so exited about shiny and new, people tend to forget that V4 has been refined over many years and still looks great.  She has the best outfits and so many incredibly cool faerie and alien skins, makeups, etc. 

Also LOVE this render!  The lighting, background, poses and fog at their feet remind me of classic fantasy art by Boris Vallejo or Frank Frazetta.  This would be a GREAT book cover.

Oh no! I will let Victoria know so we can get you back in there. So sorry you're having trouble with it! 

And I hope your daughter is able to handle the stress. Change can be difficult with autism, but wow, great for her that she is graduating and starting college! It will take a miracle to get my teenager there. He's in his fifth year of high school and may be going for a sixth. So stressful.

I'm so sorry to hear that about your son. School can be hard for these kids. Maddie's tends to run into more social trouble then educational., no friends.... I'll be glad when she can move on from there. 

Just noticed this thread and want to add my 2 cents:

When using DAZ content in 3D game you MUST be extremely cautious about licensing, because available gamedev licenses don't cover everything, only selected content from DAZ itself (marked DAZ Original) and some PAs. So you have to double check that all you're using is really covered. For example it's extremely easy to dial some morph or facial expression (as they all are integrated together) which is not DAZ Original.

I can notice that right in the video above - they used the SKAMotion's walk animation from http://www.daz3d.com/genesis-3-female-s-victoria-7-high-heel-walk-aniblock, which is NOT even possible to license for game usage. (But it's OK to make youtube video with it :) )

I have indie gamedev license myself and finally came to solution of having distinct runtime only with DAZ Originals in it.

 

So if the Game Dev License is not offered for sale, there iszero possibility of getting a license from a particular PA?

I have the Daz and Stonemason licenses in mind to purchase for sure. Would also really like a few others that aren't "available".
