The default 40% off works. The extra 20% off for owning V8 works.
The extra 20% off on Gen2 compatible items does not seem to work. The extra 40% off Gen items does not seem to work.
Even if I add items from the Gen2 or Gen category, I end up with a 52% discount (40%+20%). They should be 61.6% off (40%+20%+20%) and 71.2% off (40%+20%+40%).

This is still not working. :(

Oh, never mind. The requirements have been changed.

From what I read V8 should be able to use wardrobes from older versions, but the do not show up in the wardrobe pane. I unselected V8 and grabed the clothing items and drageed them to her, it responds like doing it with other versions of Victoria; well sort of some clothing items do not conform to her well. Some are way off! How do I fix this or make the older wardrobes work? Some of the hair is real messed up! I got this version so I could mix old wardrobes and new ones. 

 

 

I messed up this morning on my V8 purchase and neglected to add V5 and V6 pro to my cart before hitting checkout - got confused and thought I had them already - only have V7 Pro - I really shouldn't shop until after my morning two cups of coffee... Meh, I already have most of both bundles that I really wanted - but still annoyed at myself...

Tht happend to me as well. However, even though the page for the bundle is there, there are no download links for anything but what I had purchased individually already.

I'm not sure why people are freaking out about it being so "soon". Did they do this to G2 and G3 releases as well? The figure releases are on a 2 year release schedule. G2 came out two years after G1, G3 came out two years after G2, and now G8 has come out two years after G3. If they stick with the same schedule as they have the past few figure releases, we'll be seeing G9 in June 2019.

Not looking forward to two years from now seeing AGAIN so many complaining posts about it being "too soon". Just get over it. Get on board with the new figure or pass it up. No one is forcing you to keep up with each figure line release.

Me neither. And, yes, they did. Genesis' "reign" lasted 603 days (October 25th 2011 to June 19th 2013), and people cried. Genesis 2's era lasted 732 days (June 20th 2013 to June 22nd 2015), and people cried. Genesis 3's "reign" lasted 722 days (June 23rd 2015 to June 14th 2017), and... well, same old. What they didn't seem to notice, there are still lots of Genesis and Genesis 2 products in the store, even the long time dethroned Victoria 3 is still around, and DAZ regularly gives bundles containing M4/V4 away for free. ["... too old!..." ]

I'd guess even if Genesis 9 would be released in June 2020, there still would be lots of crying.  "Too soon... too late... too ugly... too cute..."

Does in the US DAZ 3D delegates stand in every customer's home behind your back, pointing a big gun on your head urging you to push that buy button...?

It's human nature, I think. People on here, at least the previous iteration of the forums, freaked out when the Dawn figure came out. Slightly less than they are now, but still. Competition/options are apparently a terrible thing.

I'm not a proponent of Competition, but I do support Options.

Could anyone show me where the people who are climing they are being "forced" into buying a new figure?

I know many of you like her, but I just don't find V8 atttactive...  Some of my problems with her are: eyebrows too close together, too dark and thick, unattractive face, shoulders too thin for body, arms look weird, waist too wide, almost as wide as hips, boobs too small, she looks about 40. All this is fine for an ancillary character but I think, of all characters, Victoria should be the ideal woman, gorgeous, like V7. I have zero interest in this character, and I'm sure she'll end up free eventually anyway.

II am interested in experimenting  with plain G8 and morphs and expressions but will wait for PAs to create better morphs for G8 for the gene pool and will enjoy  creating my own. I do kind of like her cat eyes, but that's about it... Hate her nose... I think she does look kind of masculine with her wider waist, thicker wrists and less feminine features too. I don't see myself investing much in G8 except for morphs and expressions and maybe one or two exceptional PA morphs later, maybe Freja, one of my favorites.,. Or maybe get merchant resource morphs for her eventually, but the truth is, I already have sooo many characters in all generations and haven't used at least 70!% of them yet. So I have plenty of time to wait for V8/G8 products to go on massive sales. I do have to admit I'm a bit excited to see how G8 morphs work, but that's about it...

We sure do have different opinions! As I recall, you really liked Genevieve, and I hate her. At least we each have something we like!

I liked the morph, NOT the skin! Here is Genevieve with one of Freja's skins. And I do like adding a bit of the Genevieve morph to other characters. But she was meant as an additional alternative character, not the MAIN classic Victoria...  And when I have shown the image below to people, I have been told that it looks kind of like me, so maybe there's a little ego involved LOL! 

Also I like big irises and often increase the size of irises, which I know is different from a lot of you. To each his/her own,..

Did you already have some or all of the content? Only items that are new to you will show (the bundle appears as all its parts separately, there isn't a "bundle" download).

I only had one item and that was a hairstyle.  THe rest were completely new to me so thats the majority of the bundle. 

What  does 59% greater adoption mean? That more people updated DAZ Studio, including genesis8? Or that more people bought V8 and the morphs for Gen8?

So I ran transfer utility to transfer a morph from Karen 7 to Victoria 8 it seem to be stuck at 22%. I went and took a nap for a couple hours and came back. It seems I was successful when I came back, so I tried it again. It takes 20 minutes for transfer utility to work. You have to search for the dials.

Two issues I've noticed right now. First the process takes a long time and second the arms are exploding when using poses. In addition the toes look strange.

Silene, the paid for flagship character is V8 the base is Genesis 8.

many will say V8 as used to speaking of Victoria and Michael

I did not actually own enough pro bundles to get much discount as was only the Victoria ones I have piles of pro bundles but not hers well not as a set actually have most the items in them which did not count.

Wendy, Ah, OK.... it's the Victoria part that I was assuming came with the G8F base this time. I got the same confusion when V6 came out. Easily done. I still have bought some further characters that are for the 'Victoria versions' from various sources, but apply them to the base and get some interesting results. But have stopped that silliness now.

Yes Genesis 8 is free, but so was Gensis 3 and Genesis 2 and the original genesis.   Steve is comparing figures with the take up of Genesis 8 as comparedf to Genesis 3

Not sure this will help, but what the heck. I had this exact same problem - grey blocks instead of Victoria 8, and a few error messages as well on load. Ran DIM, could not find Genesis 8 in the downloads list. So I closed Daz Studio, and DIM, and then downloaded the latest copy of DIM. Then, the Genesis 8 stuff appeared. Downloaded everything, and Victoria 8 started to behave herself. So my conclusion: make sure your copy of DIM is the very latest. FYI, I'm running on Mac Sierra...

I started buying content shortly befor Victoria 3 was released. Already at that time, there have been the same complaints as today. "Spent so much money on Vicky 2, now I have to buy new stuff". Does that sound familiar? What counts to me is figure quality, and this quality is without competition.
