File C:\Users\bryon\Documents\DAZ Studio\Scenes\Blender\Polaris-Hangar-Base-01.duf loaded in 29.290 secondsOutlet storeI bought https://www.daz3d.com/lifeguard-swimsuit-g9-optimized-for-feminine-body-shape from Quick Grab. It is one of those imported products, with no readme and no metadata. It also has no product thumbnail. But worse than all all that, applying any material preset pops up missing file errors. I submitted a ticket.
MHX IK issues with "Keep DAZ Rig"Yes it seems there's some quirks with "keep daz rig" in MHX. As a workaround it seems to work fine enough without poles, so you may want to try it. Now reported to Thomas, I came up with some fixes though I'm not an expert in MHX so Thomas may fix it better.
https://bitbucket.org/Diffeomorphic/import_daz/issues/2574/
update. This is fixed in the last commit, now hands and feet always stay in place, and there's also ik stretchiness in the daz rig if we choose the option for mhx. For ik stretch to work it is important to unlock the figure in daz studio to import the ik poses. Thanks to Thomas for this nice improvement.

How to bundle a DAZ figure, maps, hair, and poses for sharingHello!
I need your help again.
Here's my current situation: I created a figure, rigged it, and made hair for it on a cap, which I parented to the figure’s head. I also created maps for all parts.
Now I want to pack the figure, along with the maps, hair, and poses, into a package. My goal is to send this package to someone else so they can easily import it into their DAZ Studio setup and use it just like I do, by placing it in the correct folder structure.
My question is: how do I do this? Any explanations or links to manuals would be much appreciated (pease no videos).
Thank you for your attention!
Help. The Daz to Blender Export Option Box is too big for my screenRichard Haseltine said:
Try clicking on one of the other controls, then hit tab until the highlight vanishes - with a bit of experimentation you should hit the Accept button
thank you for the suggestion. Nothing I tried allowed me to be able to hit the Access button. I was able to import the vinyette through Diffeomorphic, though.
Genesis figures (8,9) in Clip Studio Paint?CSP can directly import FBX / OBJ files exported from DS, you don't need any bridge or script or other software.
Then certainly you can pose imported FBX figures in CSP, however, there's no corrective morphs at all ~~ so don't expect you can have the same shape on the posed figure in CSP as what you can get in DS.
Be noted that you cannot share the imported assets from DS with CSP/CSM... it's against the license agreement because they're derivitives of Daz assets you bought ~~
Unity to DS Import?I have been noticing some great looking 3D environments designed for game engines becoming available at a very low cost. [Offsite, and temporary, commercial link removed] I've discovered that Unity offers a FBX export which allows transferring single models into DS. I would love to drop some of these environments into DS with textures if I didn't have to do so 1 piece at a time. Before I jump down another technological rabbit hole only to emerge a month later a little wiser and somewhat disappointed, I thought I would throw this one out to our community of 3D experts. Is this a worthy endeavor? Thank You.
BJ Shelf (Commercial)I had the privilege of helping test BJ Shelf during development. I absolutely LOVE it! I have mine docked below the viewport, where I can see a wide Shelf.
Don't underestimate the power of being able to access the item's containing folder in the Content Library, with Ctrl-click on the Shelf item's thumbnail. For example, I put the LowPi character in my Shelf. A single click on his thumbnail loads him into my scene. Ctrl-click gives me immediate access to the entire "LM Low Poly Person" folder in the content Library, where I can expand the folder to access clothing, hair, props, etc. for LowPi. To make it even handier, I added one LowPi clothing item, one hair item, one pose item, so I can Ctrl-click them and get direct access to each containing folder. This is not limited to LowPi, of course. It is just an example of something I frequently access.
The thumbnail names in the Shelf are elided to make the thumbnail positioning compact, to get lots of items on the shelf. Hovering over the thumbnail will show the full name. But most single asset thumbnails are instantly recognizable for me, without needing to even read their names. TIP: Folders can be added to the shelf, but they have a generic folder thumbnail. I prefer to add my single most used asset from that folder to my Shelf instead, to get a nice item thumbnail, and then Ctrl-click it to access the folder in the Content Library.
I also find the feature to backup (export) and restore (import) Shelf configurations to be very useful. I can export my Shelf configuration to a file, so I can restore a particular Shelf configuration if I accidentally mess it up. I can also export different configurations (giving them different file names) and import the one I want to use at a particular time, for the work I am doing at the time.
BJ Shelf rivals BJ Camera Manager for my most used used Daz Studio plugin. I use both throughout every Daz Studio session. They are amazingly helpful. (Yes, I am a fan girl.)

From @Leana post, we should expect a balloon tomorrow.
Yeah, with everything required to have a buy-in to get a few percent off, this one is slowly sliding by. I think I'll wait until the next quick grab changeover. There has been some pretty good things I've picked up there. I've only added one item to my WL since this sale started, so that means I've passed on the doorbusters, and then that drips down to the new debut releases, and of course the still new, as they just drop to the next category the same products. I've only spent $21 so far with this current sale, the majority being from Quick Grab. The only purchase so far has been AH dForce Lacy Bloom Outfit and its texture set. $3.00. My Premier membership expires on the 17th.I found https://www.daz3d.com/z-utility-carrying-bags-pose-set-for-genesis-9-and-8-female the other day and added it to the cart right away. Wouldn't you know the day before that I was searching my pose library for something close to those. And I have purses and poses, but none that came close. I have no issue changing a pose somewhat, but there are limits when time is short. And just for $0.79! And then I saw the https://www.daz3d.com/pvc-latex-shaders which I had dithered over before when they were full price. Also $0.79. And it comes with metadata. But I am trying to stretch a gift card, so more things are going on my wishlist.
That's such a nice pose set! I don't have anything close to those bags (that I know of) but for that price, I might get it for later. I also like the trash bag pose with the plastic bottle that escaped.

i looked at those poses several times but was then trying to find the purses and bags they were using...found none of the actual items in the promos. I might still grab that though.

Daz Studio 6 Beta - version 6.25.2026.14722! (Updated May 28, 2026)I need a sort of confimartion: Someone tried exporting and reimporting an animation in BVH format for the DAZ Dog 8? When I try the BHV file seems to work fine on the BVH Viewer but when I import it to the model the animation is broken.
Blender to DAZ Bridge: How to export images without adding a second extension?I purchased the Blender to DAZ Bridge last week, and I am having a minor problem with regards to exporting the .png images as I transfer the object in Blender into DAZ Studio through the bridge.
Whenever the images import, it adds a second instance of ".png" on the end, which means the images now have a double .png extension, which I don't want after I learned that files that have double extensions tend to have viruses. What would I need to do with the Blender add-on in order to export the image (as I export the object) without the extra extension?

Daz Studio 6.x uses FFmpeg for the multimedia backend. Nothing in regard to FFmpeg or the audio importer has changed since 6.25.2025.18515
Populating the supported formats in the import dialog comes from querying FFmpeg for a list of the formats it supports on the machine it is installed on. FFmpeg's support for standard uncompressed WAV format does not require any external dependencies - the necessary libraries for handling uncompressed PCM audio, the most common type found in WAV files, are part of the FFmpeg core and are included in any standard build.
What has changed recently are a number of dependent libraries (25.2025.25407, 6.25.2025.26707), and distribution footprints (which files are included), but that should have had no impact on FFmpeg's response when queried for the list of supported formats omitting WAV.
Thanks for the info; I know it worked in 6.25.2025.22607 (August 14, 2025) and stopped working in 6.25.2025.23807 (August 26, 2025), hopefully they'll be able to see what change was made between versions that broke audio import and fix it in the near future.

I was thinking about why the last few versions of DAZ Studio (D|S) no longer sees the audio files for import. From my limited programming experience, I figured that when the program calls for an "open file" dialog box it needs to be passed a list of parameters of the types of files it's looking for. It would follow that – for whaterver possilbe reason – the developers have kept the "open file" dialog box but neglected to keep the parameter list for file types to accept.
To test it, I re-installed the latest version to confirm. Here's what the Audio…/… load dialog box looks like in the latest couple of versions of D|S:

No options of file types to import.
And here's what it looks like in the old versions of D|S that still work:

So, it looks to me like they might just need to add the parameters? Any comments, or am I totally off the mark?Just a bit.

Petipet's Sci Fi Hangars and DiffeoYes I'm using easy import with the default settings, everything works fine here, no idea what it may be wrong on your side apart what I already explained. Below it's my polaris scene if you want to try and import and eventually check for differences. Or you can upload yours for me to test.
Smoothing rounding off teeth (diffeo)Yes, exporting with HD checked does a HD export of course, then you also need the HD option in the global settings that's by default. You see rounded teeth in the viewport but rendering will work fine, unless there's import errors that you can check in the console. The HD shape is baked from the daz studio viewport, so what you see in the viewport is what you get in blender.
Or export without HD as Krys explains.
Petipet's Sci Fi Hangars and DiffeoRemoved the scripts under Studio and copied what I have from 2 Oct 2025. Still have the same issue. When you import in Blender, are you using the Easy option?
