  • daz to hex bridge stopped working

    I've only just installed the latest Studio 4.9.1.30 - the bridges to and from Studio to Hex and Bryce are working flawlessly and MCJ's plugin to transfer scenes to Blender still works, so all is well for me:)

  • Shape Shift for Genesis 3 (Commercial)

    /Users/Shared/My DAZ 3D Library/data/DAZ 3D/Genesis/Base/Morphs/Zev0/Vascularity HD is an sset folder containing files that load with the figure, it isn't a user folder you should see in the content panes. It adds morphs to the figure that you use directly by djusting the sliders.

    I understand that - I was just confirming that the files were installed in the correct location where the README said they should be - which is why I am left wondering why the morphs are not showing up in DAZ since they were installed correctly, esp. given gthe fact that the "Zero X Veins" morph removal files appear where they are supposed to in the Content Library. 

    Just to check: you are loading Genesis 1, not Genesis 2 or 3?

     

     

    Oh, no. Am using a Genisis 3 character. I assumed since the product page said "Compatible Figures: Genesis" that it would work on any Genesis figure. Would you mind bringing me up to speed on what exctly Genesis compatibility means? And how to us a product like this on G3? Thank you Leana.

  • Fiddling with Iray skin settings...

    Iris size is adjustable so that shouldn't be a factor in the discussion... unless someone were to do a replacement eye and not include that morph. In fact any replacement eye would need to have all of the morphs that the eye already has including things like cat eye pupils. Even if the eyeball is hyper realistic it still needs to be usable with fantasy type figures since they are rendered in Iray as well.


    A correct scaled cornea does not fit in the eye when the iris is to big...the cornea would cut into the eyelids/lashes..  this is one of the limitations of a ultra realistic eye. A way around this problem could be a minus bulge cornea morph smiley But i am agreed with what you saying... the eye should work also for fantasy types..

  • Genesis 3 wish list.

    Proper forehead wrinkles/folds. So disturbing to raise a character's brows in surprise and see the slide along a perfectly smooth forehead. The only such wrinkles Daz has in their morphs are HD and so faint as to be unnoticeable since there's no base morph for them to add definition to.

  • Add ons for V7! Any idea what this could be, because the link tells me nothing.

    Another reason store pages should have direct links to FAQ and forum threads concerning them. I have no idea what this this is, and I doubt any new user would have a clue. "But its HD, that's better, right? The term "HD" is not so simple itself. HD comes in many flavors. 720p, 1080i,1080p (Full HD,) 1440p (QHD,) and 4k (Ultra HD,) just to name a few. I would bet money that many of the people here do not know the difference between QHD and UHD. The name Quad HD might sound pretty darn good, like it must be as good as 4k, right? Quad is 4! Quad HD is based on "four times 720p," which works out to 2560 x 1440, and is most certainly NOT 4k. 4k is 3840 x 2160, which is four times 1080p. Confused yet?

    Now how am I supposed to know what Daz's definition of "HD" is? How many polygons are talking here?

    Except that this HD has absolutely nothing to do with the HD dealing in pixel sizes.

    My thoughts are that it should be High Detail....and basically means any morph done on the subdivided mesh as opposed to the base mesh.  So there is no 'set' poly count.

  • Zone Smoother for Genesis 3 Female Male(s) and Female(s) [Commercial] **PRE-RELEASE UPDATE :)

    one great plus is the possibility to remove a once created morph everytime with just two or three clicks. My biggest concern was that I will have a bunch of morphs one day that I do not need, but with the possibility to overwrite or delete once created morphs this is a really big plus.

    As written above, this product worth the money.

    Hi,,, I serched this product topic,, because I actually content with product much,,(it was  right decision  for me,,, to get this product ,,)

    and,, I hope to imporve (or up-date) this product too (version up!) ^^

     

    I usually simply export current shape,, and modify it in other modelor,, then return ds as temp corrective morph  for current scene only, this product is helpful for the purpose too,, when I can not content the final morph produced by this tool,I use low value smooth,,,, then export the smoothed  mesh (if I need more adjustment) ,, it make my work easy.

     

    then,, my request is,,,, now this product  work well,,about each main nodes area  mesh with bending,, (or each nodes zone?)

    but,,, I hope to set smooth zone, more narrow area too,,,  eg,, Now when I try to smooth Things and plevis,, ,,this product  is good to smooth between joint area,,and it seems work well for abdomen ,,but it tends to shirink all Thighs too ,,, (so some how,, Thighs become clear  thin.then if  I keep low smooth,, the problem area not turn so smooth,,^^;)

     

    though it may be best,, if I can manage zone, by somehow,, weight map,, or  tool colored circle,(like default D-former weit,, or smooth selection,, like other app,,) but,, as substitue,,  if zone smoother 2 (I expect it )  can set zone,, for, each nodes half area,, eg (upper Thingh , lower Thigh)  it can be more useful tool I believe..

    maybe it cause some problem or make distortion gap,, when  smooth more narrow area only,, but I feel,, user can adjust the effect,,(eg,, 1,, I set smooth for all Thigh part,, then make morph,, return value zero,,  2. set smooth for only upper part,,  then make morph2, user can make new morph with tchange hese 2 morph value,,, easy,,)

    ANyway thank you offer good smart tool(and simple easy use) ,, ,please keep version up-date this product,,,(of course I buy it again, when up-daed but hope,,, vonus price ^^;,,  I really feel this tool  is useful when pose for genesis3female actors now.

    Thanks for checking it out, kitakoredaz!  I agree, it would be cool to be able to change the size of the zone.  I'm not honestly sure if that's something I could implement (the tool works with predefined zones, which is one of the reasons it's figure-specific), but I will deifnitely investigate and see what's possible smiley.

    oh yes, a zone size value (slider) would be cool

  • Rigitdiy Map / Groups

    A Rigidity group won't help with that - Rigidity Groups come into play only when DS is generating a morph in a fitted item to match a morph in the figure, where the fitted item doesn't already have a morph of that name. What you need to do is edit the weight maps so that the weight across the solid item is constant, not varying, and perhaps then add some correction morphs to move the solid item in or out to avoid poke-through.

  • The Last Hiro not working at all in Daz 4.9!

    Are there moph dials in the parameters tab? select the character, go to parameters, then under 'model name'->Actor are different types of morphs like Full body, Real world, Head, upper, etc. Check those and see if your Last Hiro morph is in there. If it is, dial it up.

    I can't remember exactly but I want to think that some injections didn't actually apply the morph, just "install" the morph dial for the character.

    If you have eyes protruding, it may be a bug in one of the morphs you are using. I recently had a problem with eyes protruding on Genesis 2 Male when I applied the Gabriel for Teen Jared 6 morph. It turned out that was a bug and Daz updated the product after I wrote a bug report.

    I see you are using Genesis 3 Female. Can you give an example of a specific morph that causes the problem? Then other people who own that product can try it and see if they get the same result.

  • Tutorial: Converting Textures from Gen2 to Gen3

    Re:Transfering the anatomical elements, there is now a very useful freebie available over at Rendo: Torso UVs for G3F Anatomical Elements, by Cayman Studios. This allows you to project the G3F torso texture onto the gens, so once you have baked your torso texture to G3F, it is possible to just use the new UV on the gens, or to bake from the new UV to the default in Blender. As has been said, the internal details may still require some manual adjusting, but I find this a very simplified and cleaner way to transfer the textures.

  • The Last Hiro not working at all in Daz 4.9!

    Dearest,

    does anybody own and use 'The Last Hiro'  (  http://www.daz3d.com/the-last-hiro ; ,      SKU:3265 )  in Daz 4.9?  It does not do anyhting on my side when I use it with Hiro 3.
    The Hiro 3 face and body don't  morph at all when I click on The Last Hiro injections /  morphs . The beard variations do actually show up on the Hiro 3 Figure./....but that is all...  :(
    Anyone with the same issue ?
