Rebuilding Daz Manifest
Load the ONE order page in your browser (BIG hint: the url ends with ?limit=50 ... by default...)
View Source and Copy
Paste into notepad++ and find the tbody tag - copy <tbody>***</tbody> to a new notepad++ tab
Follow this: https://notepadok.com/blog/en/posts/how-to-remove-all-html-tags-in-notepad
Do some more replacing (tab characters etc) / trim whitespace etc <-- just copy the lines you don't want and paste into the "find" box of the Search/Replace... leave Replace box blank. Hit Replace button. (the html is nicely formatted, so one copy/paste/replace will nuke almost all of it)
In much less than 5 mins you'll have just the data you're needing
voilà

Common loon (bird) model?Thank you both! Yeah, the legs-to-tailfeather distance is definitely off... but if there's nothing better, I could probably make it work anyway. Thanks again! I didn't know they were also called Great Northerns, which might explain why my search results weren't working well.
Mocap- LiveThere is a little gear icon at top-right of your opening post, if you click that you get a menu with several options - I am not sure how many as I get a bigger list with mod tools - one of which is Edit; using that you can change the title, select a different forum for the thread, and so on.

Thank you for making your freebies available, AllenArt and Richard and Tracy
I am adding you to this listhttps://poserdazfreebies.miraheze.org/wiki/Talk:ShareCG_Download_Project
In fact I never actually had freebies at ShareCG - probably shouldn't be on the list. That sounds a bit strong, don't mean it that way, just don't want to give the impression I did have stuff at ShareCG when I didn't that's all. However, under DollyGirl's encouragement I have been listing my freebies at PoserDazFreebies for a few years, indexing the Rendo and (where possible) in the DAZ forum posts. I'm mostly up to date, maybe some of the swimming and G9 walking poses are not indexed, but otherwise I'm largely there. The 'landing page' at PoserDazFreebies for my freebies is here.
Regards,
Richard
Oh, I see, Richard. Don't worry. It didn't sound strong and you are perfectly right. I am happy your stuff is on the site, but yes, if your stuff wasn't on ShareCG you should not be in that list. I'll remove it

Maybe it is a silly question, but could anybody tell me if
https://www.daz3d.com/jmr-dforce-cameron-hood-for-genesis-9-and-8-male
is an historic (medieval) clothing product? I couldn't find a definite answer with google, so can somebody more knowledgeable explain to me?
I do know that JaMaRe does create historic clothing from time to time, btw.
Thanks in advance!
I was curious too. I did the Google search on 'Medieval hoods for men' and found a number of hoods for sale, not specifically of this style nor all with fur linings, I had to add 'with fur' and then ended up with cloaks with hoods and fur. Now these were all for reenactors, so I can only assume they were based on real clothing. Like many items, clothing would be varied depending on country and region and caste.
Depending on the store, the fact that it looks aimed at reenactors might have nothing at all to do with historical accuracy. A lot of them are aimed at "playtrons" who are going more for aesthetic than accuracy. As far as solid resources... Depending on the chapter, the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism) can either be super stringent about their accuracy or super lenient, but there are definitely people there that completely nerd out over it. And, of course, the problem is that most of what we have to go off is just what happened to survive.
I am definitely not as knowledgeable as many, especially about noble stuff. That said, cowls definitely existed, but I can't say as I've seen one with that slit in the side. When you think about why you'd wear one (warmth), it doesn't make a lot of sense to introduce a spot the wind could get through or flip it up. So although I'd bow to anyone who presented a historical reference, my instinct says it's more inspired than accurate. I know I certainly wouldn't make one like that for myself or my kids.
Common loon (bird) model?I know nothing about birds, but when I searched for Great Northern Loon, which is included in this product by Ken Gilliland, I ended with a Wikipedia entry about Common Loon:
I don't think there is one render with the Great Northern Loon, but if you want to see Ken Gililand's products in action, his gallery (I think) on Daz is here:
https://www.daz3d.com/gallery/user/5649162729160704
And his forum profile if you want to ask him question (you can also use the sitemail from Renderosity):

Zoom to mouse cursorI'm sick and tired of the BS that Reallusion has become over the years so I'm coming over to Daz3d. I've installed Daz Studio 2025 6.25 Public Build. I'm trying to figure out how to zoom to my mouse cursor instead of just zooming in. Any clue if this is possible? I appreciate the help and also thank all the people that have contributed to the forum over the years. I've alread read and learned a ton in silence. Lol
Thank you to Arki and other vendors who create tutorialsI just want to thanks to all the vendors who create tutorials either in the store or for free(I'm looking at you Sickleyield)
I bought this tutorial off Daz from Arki. I can highly recommend it. It was very useful.
https://www.daz3d.com/creating-for-and-working-with-dforce
Not genesis I know but I thought I'd share an image of what Arki's tutorial has helped me to create.
Still needs uv's and finetuning in so many areas but to have got to this stage...I'm amazed at what I've been able to do so far with the help of this tutorial. Sorry the image didn't insert properly I've provided a link instead.
Some of my Blender models animated using Ai.Here is a thread I have in the Art Studio forum related to the short clip.
https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/9307766/#Comment_9307766
Whether its true or not, I haven't felt comfortable posting AI-related stuff, but I still use Carrara, especially to create references for depth maps or poses
The 'Eat Your Food and Like It' Complaint ThreadOdd, there was a quote on the first message I wrote.
Well, it was either Operator Error (AKA my fault) or the the usual Forum Hiccups. (shrug)
Barbarella (Jane Fonda) look-a-like for G3/G8If you do a search over at ...hub using "Barbarella" there are four sets of clothing for G8F. I'm still looking for a G8F/G8.1F morph

After 3 decades of buying American Home Sheild Insurance (an add on to regular home insurance) I can assure you it quates to buying shit in a box. Simply a waste of money. I am but one of 16k complaints in 3 years.
That's really something you don't want to learn for two reasons. The first is that you're needing insurance in the first place, so something is wrong, and secondly finding out that your insurer is ripping you off which make whatever is wrong worse. How very frustrating (other words are available, but not forum friendly).
Iray issues and GPU settingsHey Richard,
You're awesome. I've posted like 4 queries on this forum and all 4 got resolved by you. You're really good at this.
The update to DS 2025 really solved my problem and Iray is fully functional on GPU, while DS 4 is working too when CPU is activated, although my PC want's to take off
.Thanks for your inputs, save my day and oh, next time I'll make sure to include system details as well.
Cheers!
Iray issues and GPU settingsHello!
I'm looking for a little help wih my Daz. I recently upgraded my PC and immediately noticed that something is off and I honestly don't know what's causing this or how to resolve it.
In the first attachement, as you can see, CPU usage is turned off. Even so, the GPU doesn't move an inch. Viewport is empty and set to Iray but at the bottom there's the message "Preparing Scene..." and the progress bar on the right, loading, but there's literally nothing to prepare. It just loads continuously until I change the view to something other than Iray.
Second screen shows the character in Filament view, that works ok - but the third sreen is showing the same character in Iray and that's not what it should look like. I know there are no lights set up etc...but still. And of course, "Preparing Scene..." is doing its own thing without progress.
Last picture is a render preview and as it shows, it's a big nothing.
I just can't figure out what's happening and Youtube did not help at all this time.
Maybe there's someone on this forum who could enlighten me?
Many thanks in advance!

I was told that Kim Goossens' original design was inspired by the work of the comic artist known as Dany.
Warning: an image search may produce some NS4W hits.
Hallelujah!
DiscipleDefinitely a strong resemblence to Dany's later work and very likely a direct inspiration. That said, it has to be noted that Dany is a Belgian artist who works in the Franco-Belgium comics industry and Tex Avery was always worshipped by the French as a major artistic innovator and influence, and was recognized there to an exponentially greater level than he was in the U.S. during his lifetime (this despite the fact that he was always been acknowledged as one of the key definers of what would become the Warner Brothers style and was the director who molded Bugs Bunny into a superstar, including coining the phrase "What's up, Doc?). If you think I exagerate, consider that Avery's death in 1980 was covered nationwide by French print and television as noted here by legendary animation historian Jerry Beck https://www.cartoonbrew.com/animators/french-tv-coverage-of-tex-averys-passing-55753.html (sadly, the original newsclip isn't available on youtube anymore since Mr. Beck himself is no longer with us, though I did find a French documentary about Avery, with coverage on the Girl character starting around 25.37 at https://www.facebook.com/reel/1267136573682457 ) The French even released a set of Tex Avery postage stamps in 2008 on the 100th anniversary of his birth. With that in mind, and the strong resemblence, it's hard not to consider that Day himself was probably strongly influenced by images of Avery's work.
