HeadShop OneClick Submitted to DAZ - Best in Class! (Commercial)
OK no matter what picture i use, i get, NO FACES DETECTED!
Haven't completely figured out why no faces detected comes up. sometimes making image bigger helps, sometimes not. i dunno..still learning what it likes.
Program crashes on export, but the morph seems to make it over. The initial test is actually pretty impressive. Looks not as much like person really, but makes a very unique look that is prolly neato anyway. I chose not to send over textures. wish they didnt show up in faceshop either. the photo texture isn't usable to me most of time (i can shop it onto another texture OK i just dont need to most of the time, not trying to make celebs).
Will post experiences after work...
HeadShop OneClick Submitted to DAZ - Best in Class! (Commercial)I'm on the fence about getting this primarily because I have more content for, and like to use, Genesis over Genesis 2.
Is there a way to transfer the morphs or textures that HeadShop produces so that I can use them on a Genesis figure? If so, I'll get this right away.
That would be the GenX2 product lines:

Transfer morphs DOWN the generations to V4?It must not be popular but if what they say is true (I actually never checked) the V4 & M4 models have way more polygons and so transferring a morph would be possible but they'd have to translate the Weightmapping to V4/M4 equivalents.
Maybe you can try the Genesis 3 to Poser Pro 11 transfer script and then transfer those to DAZ V4/M4?
ZDG random Daz Studio discoveries and questions. My post got ninja'ed by Richard =)
I make new surface zones for existing props within DS, with the geometry editor (via "geometry assignment"). It can be tedious (extra selection options in the screenshot help somewhat, but not in every case). But at least DS understands it reliably.
I'm not sure about how to redistribute those new zones for someone else's stuff. I just tried Richard's suggestion about saving new zone presets as character presets, doesn't seem to work for me... new zones are saved when I save as a "scene asset", but I have no idea if it's redistributable - and if it's different from a "normal" scene at all.
That floor mat drape morph is cute!
Edit: added the screenshot (duh)

http://www.morphography.uk.vu/dlkirwyn.html (4rth from top)Sorry about the long list, Kismet. I may have gotten carried away.

(You could just pick ten at random and check the links, I suppose. They all work, since I verified them before posting - nothing worse than posting a dead link.)
Ethel reminds me of the character Momma, on the Carol Burnett show!
Dana
Oh yes, I knew she looked familiar.
Transfer morphs DOWN the generations to V4?Has anyone found a utility to do this? It would be like the opposite of GenX2. I've tried the morph transfer function with clone shapes in Daz Studio, and it does weird stuff to the eyes.

HeadShop OneClick Submitted to DAZ - Best in Class! (Commercial)Are the textures it renders for 3Delight or Iray?
if the person has a feature which only really shows from the side, like a slight bump in the nose, is there a way to account for that? Or would that have to be done manually afterwards?
Can we adjust any of the automated markers if we think they need slight alteration?
Does the generated shape morph and texture get immediately applied to the figure or do we have to save them somewhere and then manually apply them?
Need v4.6.1.17 x64 win installerThey would be the morph dsf files in the /data/Daz 3D/<figure>/morphs folder.
Load a fresh figure in a new scene, then go to Parameters tab. In the upper corner, will be a little arrow on what looks like a lined piece of paper, click on it and select Show Hidden (this is to get any hidden ones that may be on), then select Currently Used in the main list. The offending morphs should show up there...then you need to find them, in the data folder in your content library.
Now for the saved scenes, you may have 'not found' errors pop up if you remove them.
Thank you very much for the detailed explanation. I will try this.
How to morph models and change facial experession? Each generation has multiple morph packs but the only work for the particular base. They add options for more facial expressions and shapes but the bases also come with some options as well without the need for additional packs I think.
G3F all the same faces?Part of the similarity of the commercially available faces is that most of them are seeking to be aesthetically attractive. Average faces look stylised (toonish) unless one is skilled in photorealistic renders. However, we can now use any skin or morph from Generation 4 to Genesis 2 on G3 (with Cayman Studios' & Dimension3D's products); so, there is much variety available.
dear Dressmakers...
it would be very nice if a drop, fold and hang morph could be standard for your work like to be seen here
by this wonderfull clothings from Beat
the dress is a free one over at Rendo by Edheldil
I can't find any clothes by Beat at Renderosity. Could you please tell me the name of the clothes or PM a link for them?
I found her: Beat578 in freebies
How to morph models and change facial experession?I know that there is a morph kit for the genesis model but how do I morph basic models? And is the morph kit for all genesis models or just for genesis 1?
I want to add some facial expressions to my models and there doesn't seem to be any option for this in DAZ 4.9?Finding the head and body morph controlsafter a lot of experimenting i found the head and body morph controls but they're only with the genesis 1 figures? is it supposed to be this way? how can i get them to work on the genesis 3 (and 2) figures? i'm beginning to think i wasted my money. :(
ZDG random Daz Studio discoveries and questions.I guess it's color.

Hmmm. I'm not totally sold on the look. I'll need to tinker some more.

I'm slowly working on the blue.

I just noticed that some stuff I thought I had named the surface zones on, still has the 'material' number from Hex. I'm going to need to fix that eventually, I'll look at that after some rest.

I just added an experimental drape morph on the FX floor mat, I'm not sure if it is worth adding more at this time.

Make and save zbrush morphs for Daz characters? You should have filled in Authorship Information when you installed Studio...if not (and from the look of it, since Vendor Name is blank), either enter your name or go to Preferences > General and Edit the Authorship Information (it's the large top box on the General tab).\
Then give it a name in the Product line...this is where you will find it, in the data folder in your content library...let's say it's a morph for G3F, it would be in the <path to content>/My Library/data/DAZ 3D/Genesis 3/Female/Morphs/<your vendor name>/<product name><morph.dsf> folder.
Make and save zbrush morphs for Daz characters? Thanks for all the answers! How can I eliminate the morph I created? What I have to put in the box after chosing "File>Save as>Support Assets>Morph Asset"?
Somewhat New to Carrara QuestionsFor genesis 2 figures, there are multiple uvmap layouts. If I remember correctly, it is true that multiple figures will use the same uvmap layout, but not all use the same layout. That is why I optimize a global skin shader for each new chatacter set that I buy and save that global shader to the browser. Then if I want to use that shader set, I load that character from the browser, load my saved Carrara-optimized shader, zero the shape morph, then shape however I want.
See series of posts starting here for an example.
http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/1701046/#Comment_1701046
Right.
What we're doing in my suggestion is only using the actual Shader settings. Then we swap out texture maps that work with the appropriate UVs. It works - quick and easy.
After we drag in the appropriate shaders to the correct zones, we swap texture maps if needed, then drag that whole Multi-colored ball (Multi Shader Preset) into a special folder in the Browser and we have an optimized Character Shader setup! Bam!
