[Released] Animated Butterflies and Wisps (commercial)
Yes these will work in 3DL just fine. The shaders are very simple; only a diffuse and opacity map... so they should easily transfer over to 3DL-based shaders with a click of a button.

GenX2 - Need HelpJust out of interest, I have looked at all my Genesis2 Actor and Head Morphs in GenX. I could only find one P in both morphlists (Head Propagating Scale) . I do not have much Genesis2 Male Characters, but surprisingly the numerous Female Characters do not have it either. So Gianni seems to be somehow special.
Sorry, I have not asked earlier. But did you try this method with Mode Selected Morphs : https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/2188601/#Comment_2188601
I have just assumed you followed this dicussion and tried both Selected Morphs and Create Single Morph with no luck. As you can see in the Selected Morph Example , I have only selected the Full Aiko6 morph. The seperate Head and Body Morphs are automaticly transfered. Now if Full Aiko6 gets dialed into Genesis3 Female, the seperate Head and Body Morphs follow. Exactly how it is with original Aiko6 on Genesis2 Female.
I did not change anything by hand in the morph list. It was not necessary to use Transfer: On for All Non-Zero Values. Seperate Head and Body Morphs are just there. And because it was mentioned before, I have tested Aiko6 with Ignore Conditional Morphs and Transfer Conditional Morphs, the result is the same.
Better short hair for menThe hairline shape is one of my own longstanding issues. I mean, I get why it happens: a really really really really really REALLY huge majority of all clothing and hair is for females, because that's by far the larger market. Most vendors don't want to exclude a huge amount of sales, so they'll make shorter hair so that it works for females, even if it's meant primarily for males.
The difficulty being, of course, men and women have different hairlines. Men's hairlines arch forward at the temple and curves in above that, while womens hairlines curve in or go in a sort-of-straight line from the forehead to around the ear. Men have more dense sideburns because it's basically part of the beard.
Because they're meant to serve a sort of unisex purpose (whether or not they're really designed for it), the vast majority of "men's" hair has female hairlines. One thing I remember vividly, and being thoroughly amused by -- though I don't expect the vendor was -- was the raft of complaints about Xanadu Hair for G2F, precisely because the hairline read too male. And they weren't really wrong; it was and remains the only female hair I've bought for the express purpose of using on males. (My own complaint about it was purely state-of-the-tech related; fibermesh hair from even just two years ago was so incredibly RAM-heavy that it was really hard to use unless you had an epic computer, which I did not, and do not. Alas.) Vendors need to go where the money is, and to keep the majority of the customers as happy as possible, which, as far as hair goes, means that it's designed so it can be used on females without looking too strange even when it says "male" on the cover, so to speak.
Honestly, for the vast majority of hair, I'd be OK with a morph to move the temple forward and back. In both male and female hair, so that we can use them as needed without it looking strange. (Mind, I'm not saying that the other things you mention aren't issues, just that I'd be really happy if this one could be addressed, especially since it seems like it would be easier to do. SAV had exactly that morph in some of her hairs, though almost all of hers were long enough not to really need it very often.)
GenX2 - Need HelpI forgot to select "Transfer: On for All Non-Zero Values" but it is still not working for the head. I did the body and head as a single morph like you said but only the body morph part works.
Thank you so much for your help. I am missing something so better relax and redo it in a few hours. Maybe I'll find where I mess up.
Skin Builder 3 Merchant Resource for Genesis 3 Female (Commercial)You can alway use this to transfer the base skin: https://www.daz3d.com/genesis-3-uv-swap-male-and-female-base
GenX2 - Need HelpSure - I transferred a single morph and ignored conditional morphs (didn't really consider these - just the settings I had from the last time I used GenX).
One other thought, after checking the morphs and setting the values to 1 manually, did you click the select button and select "Transfer: On for All Non-Zero Values"?
- Greg
GenX2 - Need HelpOk so I am doing something wrong. Body works OK but not head.
Do you mind to tell me which setting do you use for
- the mode
- as well as the one you pick for "ignore conditional morphs or transfer conditional morphs or transfer CM if dependent exist or transfer CM with dependent morphs".
What human figure do you tend to use the most and why? When I use a Daz human, it is generally a genesis 2 character. The improvements in joint bends are very good. There are products to improve the V4/M4 joint bends so it is not really that important. On occasion, I will use genesis, or V4/M4, or V3/M3, or the Poser 7 figures (Simon and Sydney, also called G2 which is confusing). The decision is only very rarely affected by which figure a clothing content was made. Between Poser's wardrobe wizard, Studio's transfer utility, and the VWD dynamic cloth plugin, most clothing packs can be converted for use with most other figures.
GenX2 - Need HelpThanks you Greg.
No it is not an HD morph.
Gianni has the same problem.
If you look at my screen cap you'll see that to the left of the 1 there is a P (for Pose controller) where the other morphs that I transfered have a m (for morph). But I don't really know what it means.
I guess I will PM Dimension3D.
GenX2 - Need HelpFrom the looks of what you posted, it sure is checked and set to 1. Unfortunately, I don't own Lucian, so I can't try it myself for this particular case. Hmmm . . . is the Lucian 7 Head morph an HD morph? If it is, that could definitely be the issue.
- Greg
GenX2 - Need HelpThank you everyone. I really appreciate your helping me.
There is already a post I made in the official thread. So I may have to PM Dimension3D.
Greg (algovician) thank you.
I tried but it didn't work. So either I did it wrong or it is not the solution. The only person I saw using Lucian7 on female (G3F) is J Cade but I don't know how it was transfered.

I believe the problem is because the "morph" is a pose controller for Gianni7 and Lucain7.
GenX2 - Need HelpI'm not on a computer with DS atm, but I think what may be going on is you transferred a controller for "Gianni 7". This controller effects both the head and body. I believe that what you may want to do is transfer the head and body morphs directly, rather than the controller for them.
To do so, look under (region) Actor in the main GenX window for the Gianni 7 body morph, and make sure it is checked and the value is set to 1. Likewise, look for the Gianni 7 head morph under (region) Head, and make sure it is checked and the value is set to 1.
Post back if you still can't get it to work and I'll post some more detailed instructions with screencaps once I'm in front of a computer running DS.
Hope this helps.
- Greg

DAZ... thank you so much for the new model.Combine it with this: https://www.daz3d.com/dwarfology-morphs-for-genesis-3-female-s-hd, which has been on my wish list for ages; and all my lady dwarves will finally be complete!
If you have GenX, you might also want to consider RawArt's other Dwarfology: https://www.daz3d.com/raw-dwarfology Seven heads and seven bodies each for male and female. There's a lot of mixing and matching you can do.
Also this one by Smay: https://www.daz3d.com/dwarf-creator-for-genesis-2-male-s Between these (assuming you transfer them to Genesis 3), you could make all sorts of interesting charcters.
I really like today's gift. I'm already getting a few ideas for renders, if I ever spend any time online not reading and posting on forums. ;-) The main promo image reminds me of some local fairs I went to in my youth. There was a sideshow a few times, and one year there was a bearded lady. She was very pleasant, which can't always be easy since people are paying to see her as some sort of oddity rather than as a person. She was sitting on a stool wearing a bikini, so it was obvious that if she was fake, someone spent a lot of time putting body hair all over her; she had about as much body hair as I currently do (I'm 58, she was probably in her early twenties at the time, this was probably 45 years ago). She had a really nice figure, as I remember, the body hair wasn't thick enough to hide that.
I know I'm rambling, but it was interesting to talk with someone who was a bit different from the little box my life had been enclosed by up 'til then. One other year I met the Grady Stiles, The Lobster Boy; you can look him up easily online, I don't want to derail the thread any more than I already am. And the Batmobile from the TV show.
But, on to finish my housework and get to rendering. The bearded lady awaits!

The only postwork that is done is that I made one picture from the four different (camera) views and added the black lines inbetween them.I found a (in my opinion) really funny joke on the site http://st-patricks-day.com/irish-jokes/ and because it is kind of associated (I think) with my render I don't want to withhold it: "I’ve got my own recipe for Irish stew: Get some meat, some potatoes and a lot of Guinness Stout. Drink all of the beer. Forget about the stew."

You Can Help Design the Next Create a Room XPack! [COMMERCIAL]I can definitely say that a lot of the stuff I'm seeing here is already planned for XPack 3, so it seems we're on the same wavelength.
I'm a little wary of extending into architectural styles predating the 20th century, or at least those that are less common in the last 100 years, but it is something I will look into. The major issue is that more ornate styles consume more development time, and certain styles border on "period" or "genre" and tend to be more specific than general, and therefore tend not to sell as well. For example, I question the utility and usefulness of, say, a full Louis XIV drawing room compared to a contemporary American or European style living room. The former would take twice as long to make, while the latter would sell twice as many copies. But it's something I would like to do.
Yes. Window treatments. They tend to fall through the cracks since they aren't precisely furniture, but the ones that are designed for a specific room aren't necessarily made to be swapped out and put into another. If they can even be removed with anything less than the geometry editor.
Other window styles are always welcome when their sizes are standardized and you can swap them out easily. I don't see casement windows in any of your previous sets. (Or those ghod-awful louver windows, but some places do have them, and we're talking about scene-building.) Transom windws are another style which isn't often used in residential structures, but they do exist.
I considered casements for this set, but ended up sticking with animated sash windows. As it stands, there are over 20 combinations of sash windows in XPack 3, all of them animated with morph sliders. Originally I developed the set to have walls with standard sized window openings, and the windows themselves being separate pieces that could be put in place. But on second thought, I decided it would be easier for the end user (although more tedious for the developer) for the wall and windows to be a single piece. That way there is less aligning that needs to be done, since Daz does not have vertex snapping. It is also difficult to align the windows with a casing around the opening.
Likewise, things like baseboards and crown moldings would be a major pain in the ass to align inside DS, so I made the decision to make those also part of the wall mesh. There's also the case where you have an outside corner and the ends of the trimboards need to be mitred together. The way I've decided to do it, with walls, windows, and trims all as one piece, makes it easier for the user to drop in walls and then align them to the floor with a single press. Unfortunately, it makes a lot of work out of adding additional variety. Let's say I have, currently, 60 wall pieces. If I add a new style of baseboard, I now have 120 wall pieces. Things would be vastly simplified if DS had snapping or better alignment tools but, alas, that isn't the case.
Keep the ideas and comments coming, though. I'm developing not just XPack 3, but potentially XPack 4 as well. So long as folks continue to find a use for these sets, I'll keep rolling them out!
Need head only for aspen for giaHere's a solution. It really goes over my head but I think it works. Look for the last post.

And 'ThinkerBelle' is just standing there playing with her pet-butterfly, *sigh* she's soooo naive!"Her sister-elf 'ThinkerBelle' (she's a Flower Faerie) is listening to 'The She-St.Paddy' flattering 'The Lumberjack Gnome' and minding her own business, delightedly watching the butterfly fly up...
Other characters are:
'The Juggling Joker\Clown' and last but not least 'Faust' the red-haired tomcat whose sixth sense was telling him that something really strange was going on in the room, a lot of good vibes but there's something evil too! And he was just playing so fine with the old newspaper... (The Irish Times ofcourse!)

Rendered in DAZ Studio 4.7.0.12
The only postwork that is done is that I made one picture from the four different (camera) views and added the black lines inbetween them.I found a (in my opinion) really funny joke on the site http://st-patricks-day.com/irish-jokes/ and because it is kind of associated (I think) with my render I don't want to withhold it: "I’ve got my own recipe for Irish stew: Get some meat, some potatoes and a lot of Guinness Stout. Drink all of the beer. Forget about the stew."

ok, wow, this was a bit of "I spy .." to find all the freebies in your work, awesome thing you did there!
So all links provided are working and there are enought of freebies and not too much of purchased Please move to entries!
There are some things you provided links for I didn't find in your render but as there are well enough others that is not a problem but maybe other folks would join in finding
hmmm thought pose
Raven
Robin
Morphing posable spike
Couple rings
Bluetit
butterflySeeya!
ps: you were on time posting it, I was just a bit late checking, so not your fault.
Jenn HD Trish HDI thought it would be interesting to note that there is a big difference (about the size of that line) in the lip UVs for V7 and G3F. The Blue UV is for V7, Pink UV is G3. The transparent lips on top is from the makeup resource listed on both the Trish and Jenn readme pages. AND, if one is also creating a custom morph, those merchant resources could be chaos for any character. One could possibly have layers on top of layers of different peoples textures (some for V7, some for G3), saturation levels, tone levels etc. I may be way out in left field, but just an interesting note. :)
