Any hooved options for G3F beyond Fawna?
https://www.daz3d.com/hfs-fantasy-shapes-for-genesis-3-female-s - DarioFish's Fantasy Shapes for G3F have a hooved leg morph that's pretty great. He also has the Faunus for Genesis over at Rendo, which you could transfer with GenX2 (and it transfers fairly well, too).
Thanks Finlaena. This looks like exactly what I need!

Daz to Maya questioni'm also interested by this product. But there is really thin info about it in the description. Not video demo, no picture example of renders (mray), no accurate description of transfers limitations (material, files, etc...). Please, enlighten us about your product which semms for me awsome.
also, What's about the transfer to iray for maya? (which is free, contrary to iray+)

How to save the body morph as a shape preset without the head and vise versa? Here's a couple threads: (I am not reading them, just linking them. There may be some overlap. Be sure and note the dates, and if in doubt, use the most recent.)

Interactive License? In regards to Indie/Pro license, I just wanted to add this from a previous post by one of the DAZ guys: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/2890791/#Comment_2890791
I'm curious as to how already purchased Indie/Pro licenses will transfer over to this new model. I mean, some customers bought them to cover past and future releases by a DAZ or a specific PA.
Forgive me for keeping details to a minimum, as I don't want to steal the thunder from things. But I will say that:
1- The changes will be much more clearly laid out as to what they mean (I agree with the points that many have made that it should be spelled out more clearly than it has historically.)
2- Indie and Pro Licenses already owned will continue for current and future products, so that those who made those purchases will get the value they expected to get when they made the purchase.
Does this cover 3D printing now?
You still need to be patient. Daz is working on part 5 of their EULA, that covers 3D printing.
It was already discussed in:
That's somebody else doing the 3d printing for you. Not allowing you to do the 3d printing yourself. These are two different things. Addendum 5 of the new new EULA, however, refers to 3d printing in genberal, but does not give a specific price yet. Although there may already be something in the store, it's the forums I check first each day. :D
Section 1 covers your own 3D printing for private use... Section 5 covers the 3D printing for Commercial use, i.e. if you want to sell your 3D prints.3rd Annual It's Raining Men Contest - Discussion Thread10. Female morphs are not allowed in this competition including, but not limited to, the use of such products as GenX which enable users to apply female morphs onto the male body. We want to concentrate on the male figure. However, scripts that allow artists to swap UVs allowing female skins to be used on the male figure WILL BE ALLOWED as no morphing is involved and UV swapping is a pretty common occurrence for most of us.
I find this a bit confusing textures are ok but morphs aren't, morph swapping is also a 'pretty common occurrence for most of us' has been since GenX arrived, I don't often swap textures, female texture on males are to me usually pretty obvious whereas morphs not so much a elf ear from a female is just an elf ear same with most morphs whereas a texture there are in particular cetain areas that are pretty much 'Female'. I would like to understand better your rationalisation on this decesion as to me it seems a bit bias - either both should be usable or neither.
I Am So Tired But There's So Much To Do Complaint Thread....Chrome for me doesn't play well with some sites I frequent which is why I use FF, and as I don't have (and never will use) W10, Edge is out. I'd also have to redo all my passwords that are still saved in FF which I'm really not up to as they won't transfer over (and it is still a reasonably healthy colection due to my involvement as a "concerned citizen"). I'll give the FF version a go and see how that works.
Any hooved options for G3F beyond Fawna? If you have GenX2, you can transfer Dione Unicorn Girl.
Putting away my artistic side...my work system does not have a net connection so I do everything via manual DL to a notebook transfer via USB stick and installation on the main system.
I have become somewhat discouraged lately as well due to the long render times in Iray.(as my GPU card only has 1 GB) and the fact most new content is being released with Iray only textures (it's harder to go from Iray to 3DL than the opposite direction). Furthermore as I only have 12 GB of memory (10.5 available after Windows and system stuff), CPU render jobs often dump to even slower swap mode since the open scene and Daz programme take a big chunk of system memory.
It is tough, as I've been in the traditional arts all my life but advancing arthritis (both bone and joint) has made it etremely difficult to paint and draw anymore (even my handwriting has become illegible to the point I sometimes have trouble reading it). This is a good part of why I got into 3D as without it I'd have no creteive pursuit (music was my other but again that succumbed to ol' "Uncle Arthur" as well). Due to my long time associations with the fine arts, I tend to create fairly involved, almost "epic" scenes which require a lot of system horesepower (I used to paint "big", on big canvases that measured in feet instead of inches, with a lot detail). I basically approach creating a 3D scene the same way as when I painted in oils.
Like yourself, I am a senior living on a fixed pension so I can't just drop 500$ - 700$ on a high VRAM GPU card or 2,000$ to build a new system. I definitely share your sentiments about the lack of real everyday clothing and have an older version of Marvelous Designer which is definitely servicable for my needs. I don't do fantasy either or horror, so that actually saves me quite a bit (though I wish the PC sale was in summer instead of always coinciding with Halloween). Yes, I still have remained a PC+ member as the freebies and discounts on DO releases as well as during certian sales still more than pays back for the cost even though I've been in this for about a decade. I also get an additional 12$ in savings per month through the coupons.
There is a bit of a silver lining, as I will soon be getting the memory upgrade I need to keep render jobs for from dropping to virtual memory and a slightly older GPU card which will definitely help with a lot of the preliminary work I do (character and subset proofs/test renders) and speed the process up a bit more.
What I like about Young LyraBravo again to Bluejaunte for Young Lyra. Lyra was already on my WL because of the super expressive and unique face. But, when BJ released Faye & Young Lyra, I liked her even more. Why? Because not only does YL have L's awesome texture and face, but she has a more extreme body morph that allows me to use her as an aging morph. I can use YL face and head and add in varying amounts of her body to get a Tween up to an adult. I mixed her with Rebecca and got a very nice looking 16ish girl.
I still plan to get the adult version of Lyra, because I do like the adult version body, nicely realistic instead of super model. But for the moment, I was glad to get the Faye and YL package so I could have two excellent characters. Keep up the great work!
Saving Hair DForms as new morph dials? [SOLVED]Yea spawn morph is easy for shure,
If you like to add a smoothing modifier with collision settings to prevent the hair / scullcap going throug the head by the DFormer, I suggest you to export an OBJ-File. Keep in mind to set everything else but the hair (still fitted to the figure) invisible (Ctrl+select in Scene pane & Display Visible OFF in Parameters pane) and export with Ignore Invisible. You can have all current shaping morphs on the hair but before you re-import with Morphloader you may want to disable the smoothing modifier and the DFormers. With this prepared you can use the Morphloader pro ReverseDeformation setting to yes - so you get a new morph with only the shape difference between the current scene hair and the OBJ morph export (including head collision and DFormer).
Dracorn's Render ThreadSo here's a Victoria 8 and Iray conversion of Enchanted Dreams, with a morph conversion of G1's Mina morph for the face. Boss Pro Light Set.
I really like the conversion you did. My first thought was that you had rendered "Glinda the good witch" from the Wizard Oz even though your character isn't a strawberry blonde

Trish
Wow, Trish - that's a really cool idea. Retexture the dress and hair, put a wand in her right hand... Sounds like fun!
Saving Hair DForms as new morph dials? [SOLVED]No need to export, you can do it in the deform tab. With the hair selected click on spawn morph, name it and click ok, the morph will show in parameter pane under morphs,
you can then delete the deformer.
Wow...awesome, Thanks! I had no idea it was that simple. :)

Carrara CharactersMarinating....
That figure looks awesome btw, we really should be encouraging the creation of carrara characters., now I'm sure of it...
The thought of a rig for facial expressions is scary, I'd much rather use shape morphs. Does that mean every expression would require the object file morphed to be distributed with the character files?
If we had a skeleton, and a mesh attached to or that uses that skeleton, would we be able to utilize saved poses for it? So if we made a universal skeleton, we could essentially make universal poses as well???
Facial expressions - it is not necessary to use the skeleton rig to add bones to the face. Can rely entirely upon morphs. Can create a morph area for the head. Then create morphs in that area. A figure could be created and distributed that has some base morphs to work from. People can then add their own. I've never tried distributing morphs, but there is a load feature in the morph editing dialog. Although I assume that means people can share morphs the way we used to for Victoria 3 and Michael 3, someone more used to creating stuff for distribtion would have to confirm that.
Poses - poses can be saved for animation groups. They are called NLA clips and can be saved to the browser. They are then loaded from the browser to the animation timeline for use. Again, I assume they can be shared with people with the same animation group (mesh and skeleton), but others would have to confirm.
Thanks for the kind words on the custom figure.
Saving Hair DForms as new morph dials? [SOLVED]I've read through the thread about saving morphs done in Zbrush. But, my specific question is, "Is it possible to export and obj from a Dformed hair in Daz and re-import it through Morph Loader Pro, and then save it as a morph asset for that hair?"
Many really nice hair models just don't come with enough shaping morphs to suit me. So, after doing all the work to Dform the hair into the shape I like, I'd like to be able to save it as a morph dial for future use.
Thanks for any help!
How to save the body morph as a shape preset without the head and vise versa?I am struggling to find out how to save my body and head morph seperately can someone explain to me how to do it?
Wanted: sweater with arms tied round waistyou can also pose a figure wearing one so their arms are wrapped around the other figure's waist then convert the top they are wearing to a prop use dforce on it to drape and export the obj as a morphloader morph, the possibilities are endless
Easier than that- just ghost out the figure wearing it, so only the clothing shows. You scale down the arms so they're flatter than a pancake and the clothing goes with it.

So clever both of you! Off to try that :)

Apply Genesis 3 Body/Head to Victoria 8 Actor? You can only use morphs "inside" of a generation. A G3 morph can't be used on G8, and A G8 morph can't be used on G3.
