If a 3D mesh wasn't specifically made for dForce, it can have details (metal parts in this jacket, etc) that are not all parts of the same mesh.

How do I weld the parts of the jacket together?

You need to find non dForce objects that simulate fine. When one doesn't, the only solution is to use 3rd party apps to 3d model the necessary modifications to make the cloth simulation friendly. You can't fix 3D objects without knowing at least the basics of 3D modeling with 3D apps (Blender, Carrara, C4D, Maya, etc).

I used the transfer utility in Daz Studio to rig the dress OBJ that I posted earlier in the thread.  Genesis 2 Female.  See the ZIP file attached.  It is in Daz Studio format, so copy to a content folder.  Shaders are Iray, sorry.  But it is just a diffuse map which you will probably replace anyway.  Note that I did this on my laptop so I am just hoping that the data file folder has everything one needs.  First time adding a Studio content folder on this device.  I still recommend using VWD for Carrara renders, but not necessary.  Conform to your G2F.  Pose.  Use your VWD.  I recommend selecting the collar mat zone and 'nailing' to the collision object. Let me know if there are any problems.  If there is, I suspect it will be the data files.

Enjoy for any renders/animations of any use, but don't redistribute the assets.

Thank you for the Egyptian dress, there's only a little problem, your .duf file can't find the Texture. But I had no problem to fix it.

I recommend using it with DForce, but lower the dynamic setting of the collar. 

I have posted some other ancient Egypt props in the same thread but they are in Carrara format.  The props include musical instruments and hair.

I bet you could use Poser too as that also can be imported as polylines which is how I am entirely guessing the curve based hairs are created ising whatever plugin the PAs have access to

because why else does DAZ have the option to convert hairs to polylines under edit geometry 

as for cloth based Dforce hair which any of us can make and I actually prefer

you can use any app, Arki has Hexagon tutorials for sale

@Khoe and others on macOS Catalina and above. I've developed a stand-alone Python programm, called 'TextureMapShaderGenerator'. It will provide you with an alternative way to import image files ( to be used as texture maps in a shader ) into Carrara 8.5  Up to 11 files can be imported in the same time.
