Here's something I created for a fanzine. I definitely spent too much time making this, but it was a learning experience to try recreating the coloring effects/processes of comics from the 1970s-1980s. My workflow is pretty standard: Original renders created in Poser Pro 11 with the Comic Book Preview. I then clean up and composite the work in Clip Studio Paint. I used a new toolset for this that I purchased from the Vintage Texture Supply Co., KraftTone. KraftTone is a set of brushes designed to duplicate the look of old comics. It's an interesting set of tools that has a lot to offer. I'm just scratching the surface with this stuff, but I think this mostly came out okay.

I don't know if the shading tone dots are going to reproduce well here, or not.

Another "Shamantic Dance".  Love that phrase by UnifiedBrain.  My Toe Fix for Victoria 8 via Mistys preset for Genesis 8 Female.  This is an Anatomically correct version of V8 with the Gens, Lashes and Fiber Brows (included in the V8 Pro Bundle) merged into one complete figure. My first attempt didn't fix the toe issue, but after some creative dancing, I found a solution.

But we still don't know, if the dresses are actually meant for DAZ Genesis 2 Female and not Generation 2 (Victoria 2) or whatever it was in Poser that was designated G2, or something completely different.

In essence what I want is something like a middle ground, in terms of 'body' or 'thickness' between this

Those convertors only handle transfer of the shape of the figure from V4 to G3F/G8F. If you want to use the skin textures as well then you need this Cayman Studios product too.

ETA: That one is for G8F - there is a similar product for G3F but I think that is sold at the Renderosity store, not here.

Like old characters for Victoria 4...could they be used on the newest generation characters?...any plugin or some kind of converter?...

Or is the only way really by using Victoria 4?...

Clothing items made for either G8 or G8.1 should be compatible with either figure, though occasionally one will pop up the autofit dialog.

V8 is a morph for G8, not a distinct figure. Not every item for G8F will fit every G8F morph perfectly, but the closer a morph is to the base figure (and V8's body is not that different from base G8F) the less likely it is to cause problems. Also, clothing makers will generally include corrective morphs for different figures. 

So far I am having trouble with auto-fit for things like socks with pre-G8 figures, even though the item appears in the content window with 'context on'.  Is this just life in DAZ world or am I missing something?

Footwear is the hardest thing to fit across generations, so you're definitely best off finding something made for G8 if possible.

Genesis is the fifth generation of Daz's original figures, which is why the Genesis versions of Victoria, Michael etc. are Victoria 5, Michael 5, and so on. This continued with Genesis 2 (Victoria/Michael 6), and Genesis 3 (V/M7), before Daz finally converged the naming conventions for Genesis 8. If an item is compatible with "Genesis", that means the original Genesis, otherwise the item would specify which generation of Genesis it's made for/compatible with.

Check the figure number, bearing in mind that Genesis = Victoria etc. 5, Genesis 2 = Victoria etc. 6, and Genesis 3 = Victoria etc. 7. Textures will be an add-on (if for something) or may be generic (various fabric shaders can be applied to anything, though the result will depend on how the model is set to apply textures). "For" usually indicates that what you are looking at is soem kind of add-on, and there should be a required products note too. But for someone who lands on the Daz platform now, there is chaos in regards to figures and many contents on the shop that need to be wised checked for compatibility.

Is there a tutorial that explains figures and compatibility like victoria is an old product do I still need to buy for compatibility for shop content.

Why can't adapt to the new Gemini figure, what is the difference with dForce why some are Gemini and others are dForce.

I've purchased a couple different pose and wearable prop sets with bath towels.

Both sets only load the wearable parented to the figure, but the G8F figure doesn't pose at all. Other poses are working fine.

Any ideas as to why that would happen?
