    Program working, few flaws but worth the work.

    Keep getting same error message before completion.

    Face Transfer failed to load the base material preset.
    The image will still transfer but with reduced quality.

    Any hints.

    what if they created the morph using symmetry and what if G8f toes aren't perfectly symetry.
    how to test that tho 

    there's no geometry for left and right toes, is all in 1 feet group

  • G8 Foot morphs?

    Thanks everybody for the kind comments on the foot morphs!  Let me see what I can do.

    Sorry to exhume this last years thread, but just stumbled over it and now I'm curious, if your g8f foot morph is meanwhile available somewhere!?

    I already have NecDaz91's foot morph and Lilly HD's foot morph to fight the standard g8 sausage toes, but some variety is always welcome. laugh

  • Is it just me or... are Hairlines on hair props are WAY too high?

    I must reply to this, because actually I feel the problem is the exact opposite to the OP.  Many artists heavily morph and pull and pose those hair figures to get more natural (higher) hairlines.  Instead of those examples you pulled, take a look at the promo renders in the store for the hair figures and you'll see what I mean.  And, many of the hair figures for G3F and G8F do not have good hairline "height" morphs (which is weird because back in the V4 days, most did).

    Yea! My pushing buttons mythod worked. The figure I was trying to put the shirt on wasn't Tri Weighted and Transfer Utility works only with Tri Weighted figures.

    I have 5GB and an old and slow 'puter and don't see any lag or unusually long load times.  I also don't have any morph sets or characters from Renderosity or ShareCG or any other site besides DAZ3D.

  • Specific body part shape presets?

    Only if the shapes themselves affect only certain parts - you split a morph in the save. For non-HD morphs there is https://www.daz3d.com/shape-splitter or, with a greater or lesser degree of fiddling depending on the c0mplexity of the morph's relation with other settings, there are ways to split non-HD morphs within DS.

  • virtual nickel 4 yor carrara thoughts: the next level

    need the vert numbers surrounding the polys in the g8f toe issue

    want to see if those verts are in the list of deltas in the morph

    it would mae more sense if those verts don't move at all, but its like tripling the values

    i still don't understand how they rigged a text primitive, can't even open it in the rigging tab.
    thinkin carrara must have some secret heirarchy editor like poser.  import a text file to set up the rigging.

    I bought the Face Transfer unlimited package but I'm getting messages from Face Transfer that am using up my free transfers. Am I supposed to somehow enable the unlimited transfers?

    on a character I just finished I had trouble finding one with a high enough hairline....admittedly it had to go past some geografted horns though :P

    There was a hair released, I think, that had a morph so that it went past the horns on a character.

  • Export just head and/or upper body

    Not to maintain morph compatibility, no - morphs are just a list of new positions for the vertices (or a list of offsets, onve loaded into DS) so it's essential that the number and order of the vertices remains unchanged. What are you wating this for - there may be other ways to achieve your goal?

  • How to close character's lips?

    You could try using negative values for mouth open or similar morph? Probably need to turn limits off to be able to do that. (Click the little cog wheel, uncheck "use limits")

    Thanks, didn't know it could be less than zero :) Will try that.

    For now found an option "Mouth closed" in Posing, 10-15% works to fix it, though it's not perfect as it resets with zero experession pose.

  • Face Transfer Unlimited

    An out of the box question.

    Prior to yesterday, had and still  work with 4.11. Pipeline for characters  was morph dials,facegen/zbrush.

    Because I saw a potential for time saving, I installed 4.12 to be able to use/purchase Face Transfer Unlimited.

    I purchased and used the product yesterday. Works well.

    Now, qustions.

    I absolutely need to keep 4.11 as the default program.

    So, what is the best way to create a Face Transfer figure in 4.12 , and be able to open it in 4.11.

    Can I save and import the morphed figure?

    Not a big problem with textures, but figures have distortion

    Whatever I 'm doing ain't working.

  • How To Share My ZBrush Morphs With My Users ( please help )

    File>Save As>Support Assets>Morph Asset will let you save the imported morph (if it is based on Daz or other morphs you will need to strip those out, all you can share is your own sculpting and a preset to apply it an any additional morphs needed - if it was sculpted from scratch that isn't an issue). The names you enter in the options dialogue determine where the files end up:

    /Data/Daz 3D/Genesis whichever/Female/Morphs/Author/Product/

    in the content directory you used (set at the top of the options dialogue). The end users need to merge that folder into the corresponding location in one of their content directories, and they will also need any shaping preset if it isn't a single morph slider.

  • Is it just me or... are Hairlines on hair props are WAY too high?

    I cant be alone in noticing this. Espeically if you use the Youth Morph. But the hair lines are insanley high on every single hair prop in existance. At least half of the characters have these MASSIVE forheads because the hairline is never realisticlly low. I mean most of the females at daz are between 16 and 24. Why do they have hairlines higher then most 35 year olds?

  • Laggy Genesis8

    Before removing certain morphs it was over 10 minutes..

    So it seems the new 4.12 G8 update is no more "friendly" to some morphs, and it takes forever to load them. While the previous 4.11 G8 was fine. Is this correct ? Could you please let us know what morph packages are lagging down daz studio ? Did you try contacting the PA and/or reporting the issue to DAZ ?

     

    EDIT. As for my personal workflow this doesn't happen because I only install in the content folder the assets I need for the current project. Then when I switch the project I switch the content folder. But I understand that for anyone keeping a large assets library this is a serious issue.

    I have a few head morphs that for some reason have lips slightly opened by default. I need those for most of the head's morph, but I'd really rather not have my character's illustration looking like she has her nose clogged. 

    Is there supposed to be a shaping setting where mouth can get tighter than zero? I have a bunch of non-default ones, but they mostly give things like elf ears and whatnot... nothing that'd affect this mouth gap at all.

    Sorry if this is a noob question. Any advice?
