Face Transfer 2

How to use Face Transfer Shapes 2? Is this tool just a manual parameter adjustment?
After you install it, go to your account page and make sure the product is activated in Daz Studio. It'll replace the previous Face Transfer pane. Then find a picture with a neutral expression-straight at the camera, hair not obsctructing the face and with no smiles/frowns. Think driver's license picture. It'll load pretty effectively. Not perfect but it's a huge upgrade to the first Face Transfer.
saggy under-breast fabric? For the third way, using external application, Jay Versluis has three videos on the subject, explaining in each of them how to do it with various tools.
Hexagon:
Zbrush:
Blender:
Hexagon is old but still functionnal and you can get it for free here:
https://www.daz3d.com/hexagon-2-5-download-version
The main downside is that it's last update was in 2018 and it'll only work on Windows, but it's free, relatively easy to use with a good integration with Daz Studio: exporting to Hexagon automatically open Hexagon (you'll have to set the Mesh Resolution back to High for any object exported to Hexagon with SubD active) and once you're finished, Hexagon can send the morph back to Daz easily (you'll have to set the correct settings in Daz Studio though).
Zbrush is way out of my budget so I can't comment on it.
Blender is free. There is a bridge to export for Blender, but I never used it. Blender is very powerful and it's UI is an acquired taste, at least if Daz3D is your first 3D application (or if you're on a Mac and mainly using their excellent trackpad to control the mouse cursor: some functions in Blender are easier to use, maybe only possible to use, with a mouse) but following the video by Jay should tell you what you need to know.

Almost considered it until I remembered I would need a number of other G9 morph and shaping content (as well as Zev0's Skin Builder) to use G9 for custom designed characters.
Was hard to pass that up but then seeing Stonemason's The Rift for 3.90$ and the entire Rococo Revival Bundle for 6.37$ (with only three punches) and in the cart those went instead.
The better compatibility between G3 and G8 just makes it so much more useful and Zev0's XTransfer lets me not only transfer base morphs but also morph resource expansions and merchant resources which saved me a boatload of zlotys not having to repurchase them.
Oh, and like that oddball uncle you thought you didn't invite over for the Holidays, the old Gateway Error is back
figured i would pop The Rift and Rococo Rival Bundle in cart and got $2.02 and 3.29.... oops, more stays in the cart
...did you also use tokens or purchase a Debut or Still New Release?
The price for each on the sale page was 9.80$ for the Rococo Bundle and 5,98$ for The Rift respectively (before the theee punches I had were figured in). Apparently a few of the PA items were discounted to 80% off the full original price on Wednesday.
The actual total cost in the cart for both together (with the punches) came to 10.27$
I had answered this a bit ago and it must have gotten lost in the thread changeover..bummer.as it was a long answer. Can't redo it all, but short anser is: Yes, I had 3 punch and 8 tokens.

Help - Transfer Utility and Geografting in Daz3DI believe the graft in the 1st screenshot works fine but the one in 2nd screenshot is problematic. If so, you should've used the settings in below ss1 when rigging the graft on the 2nd character, i.e. when rigging on a non Genesis Base figure, you have to tweak the setting in TU dialogue.
However, the standard workflow is:
1) Rig the geo-graft on Genesis Base figure 1stly (what you've done on G8M in the 1st screenshot...);
2) Dial the character's Full Head Morph (FHM) on G8M, fix the AutoFollow FHM on the geo-graft (in hidden properties) in the external modeling / sculpting software... if there's any unexpected deformation.
3) Import OBJ to update FBM on the geo-graft with Morph Loader Pro.Help - Transfer Utility and Geografting in Daz3DGreetings all and thank you for your guidance.
I was able to resolve the issues related to making sure everything was on the Base level of resoultion before attempting grafting and, as a result, was able to successfully do a basic graft of a spike to a Gen 8.1 model's cheek. (Yay).
However I've made a dozen attempts and have hit a wall when it comes to attempting the same basic test on a model with the morph on it. Applying the Transfer Utility distorts the geometry of the new piece.
Where am I going wrong?

I've seen real life people with these creases :-D
Yes, real life people have bulges, creases, asymmetrical features, and other imperfections. Was wondering, do you take steps to add asymmetry and such into your figures?
Yes, I do. One morph for Body asymmetry, and one for facial asymmetry.
I have JCMs for belly fat bulges, when bending the lower chest part.
I have a set of HD morphs for eye wrincles and cellulitis added.Wow! You're doing a ton of extra work there! I hope you enjoy doing it and that the results justify the effort.
Check out my galleries here and on DA and Renderhub.
I just cannot avoid this extra work, because the lack of accuracy is bothering me to no end.
BTW: I have created about over 200 extra JCMs over the years to make joint movements look believeble with my custom character shape, and I still need to work on that. Are you Aeon Soul in the DAZ Store?

zero the figure and remember it, then save as morph asset.
Where is your information coming from? What exactly did you save? All modified assets? You should be careful when doing that as some morphs should not be zeroed by default (which is what zeroing and memorizing all morphs will do)
Angells said:
now I can't even zero the figure.
The option to zero figure will prompt you to restore or zero. Are you sure you are clicking zero and not restore?
A screenshot and description of your problem would have been helpful. As would punctuation. Maybe just upload your scene .duf file (with just base gen 9) and people can check if there is any active morphs in 'currently used'.

Interface performace is slightly sluggish ever since this began -- program locking up without reason when browsing or clicking things, randomly. USB-C is creating a bottleneck? I thought it was faster than standard USB, but seems both options are not ideal I guess. As for the Daz program itself, I have it on my OS drive, but everything else (including saved scenes and subsets and ect) are on the separate SSD.
I'll try moving the Daz program to my SSD, see if that magically makes the difference ... but I feel like it can't be that simple. Never is lol.An M.2 drive has a much faster PCIe interface. Modern USB drives are much faster, but the performance is not anywhere close to a M.2 drive that's plugged directly into the motherboard's PCIe interface. The PCIe interface is upgraded every few years similar to the USB standards. Newer motherboards support faster data transfer rates.
Here's an AI Overview from Google:
When comparing performance, an M.2 drive is significantly faster than a USB-C connection, as M.2 utilizes the much higher bandwidth of the PCIe interface directly connected to the motherboard, while USB-C is limited by the slower speeds of the USB protocol, even at its highest current standards; meaning an M.2 SSD will generally offer significantly faster read/write speeds compared to a USB-C external drive.
Key points to remember:
-
M.2 Advantages:
- Much faster data transfer speeds due to direct PCIe connection.
- Lower latency for quicker application loading times.
- Designed for internal storage, optimized for high performance.
-
USB-C Advantages:
- Portability and versatility - can be used with various devices
- Easier to connect and disconnect external drives
- Newer USB-C standards can achieve relatively high speeds, but still not as fast as M.2
G9 loading with some male morphsI did what I read to do to get rid of the weird morphs loading, and saved it after zeroing and saving the g9 character, but now I loaded G9 again and it loaded with the morphs but when looking at currently used there are no morphs there that were loaded now I am confused as before I could show hidden stuff on the parameters pane, and zero the figure and remember it, then save as morph asset. which I did now I can't even zero the figure. I don't know what to do if I knew what morphs it loaded I can fix it, but there are no morphs loaded that show up.

I dunno, I am really torn about this character.
She's pretty and the quality of the character seems fine overall.
But why sell a 'crusader' character without any visible muscle definition? Face aside, she looks the same as most other G9 Females.
Could we maybe get, at some point, another black person? Another freckled skin? Maybe a Rune 9 oder a Beverly 9? A teenager or maybe even a child? Hell, maybe take another crack at Maryam 9 - that was the coolest idea they had this entire generation and they used the strangest morph and worst materials I have seen since Genesis 1.
Now, my whining aside, the Dryad Add-On and Forest Skin do make up for a lot. Those are very nice. I just wish they were for a more interesting character. Or, rather, they had at least done something cooler with Ashley 9.
I'm also really disappointed in that hair (at least as far as the product description and promo images go). I like a good bob cut, but it seems borderline useless since it doesnt seem to simulate or come with any morphs at all. What is it with Genesis 9 and hair products that only work as long as you do not move or morph your character?
Otherwise, as usual, the clothing in both bundles looks mostly awful, and, as usual, the props by Censored look absolutely amazing.
I dunno, it's a mixed bag, but it's overall still much more appealing than the other stuff DAZ has produced lately.
Hmmmm? the bob cut does simulate, I even showed it in the promo https://www.daz3d.com/sylvia-9-hd-character-bundle here xD

You have some valid points. The crusader look didn't occur to me as I have muscle morphs that I can apply, but I can see why it looks odd. It's more of Freja's style. I find real value in the unique skins, forms and the outfits. I happen to really like Sylvia's look (compared to the recent Ashley 9 who isn't bad, but she's more of a generic look). If you have Premier and have the free bundle coupon and utilize the sale, it's a good value for all of it.

Better do it when the figure is in A-pose... then if the jeans are fully symmetrical, you can tweak both sides at the same time (ss1 ~ 2.)
I don't know Hexagon but just use Blender. It's also very easy to adjust the length in Blender by using Grab brush + Symmetry. Then import as an adjustment morph. (ss 3 ~ 6)
How is the Symmetry function used in conjunction with the Grab tool in Blender? @crosswind

You should be able to access the read me for any product you have by clicking on the 'i' in a circle in DIM, which will open the read me in your browser.
Yeah... I knew that about clicking on the "i" in DIM, but never noticed the log since I don't usually scroll that down. So was it? "Added additional Genesis 9 Projection Templates?" What's it for? Autofit?
Not only for AutoFit but for rigging as well, i.e. rigging with Transfer Utility.
But why G9?
I think that's the wording issue... It should've been sort of: "Added additional Projection Templates for AutoFitting G9's wearables..."

If you use the latest Nvidia driver Studio version, there shouldn't be such difference in 4.22/4.23.
As for "without use her Base" when Saving a customized character ... you have to export the figure to OBJ, then import OBJ with Morph Loader Pro to create single Head / Body morph on G8F Base figure. In this way, you don't need Rera as a Base char.
Your the bessssssssssssst!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
