Total asset load time is 3m12s. The majority of the time was spent to create ERC links (1 minute) because of 5.74 Mil formulas calculated from the enabled modifier assets. That seems normal.

Failure in creating a bunch of modifiers took nearly 45 seconds. You better check those modifier assets from line 1224 to 1270. (I don't have any error in this part, so it usually takes 4 ~ 5 seconds.)  Better disable them or uninstall them, especially those "famous VO xxx products"...

Other sections look fine to me. So, if all errors / failures are fixed, the loading time should be within 2 mins 30 secs, even shorter. Pls be noted, after enabling / disabling modifier assets, updating DSON cache also take some time. That's normal as well.

Below is my DS log for loading a G9 Base for your reference.   Zero error, zero warning ~ (I fix issues shown in DS log from time to time...). The G9 Dev Load on my side is with 4720 non hidden properties which can be loaded within 30 seconds. (I also used Turbo Loader to disable modifiers that I don't need.)

  • DTB bridge for DS6 and Blender 5.1.2.0? (without Diffeomorphic)

It is reported that diffeomorphic works fine with DS6, if you change your mind.

p.s. Or you can also import DS4 in blender 4 then load the scene in blender 5, if you want to use the bridge.

p.s. I'm also curious why you prefer the daz bridge, as I don't see any reason for that, so I may miss something.

  • Daz Studio 6.25[.0.x], General Release!

Did you login; Connect - Login? It needs to be authorized to be enabled.

OK....I was thinking I was the only one having this issue since I've seen no one else with it. I D/Led and installed DS6 when it was released

    I'm running a Window11 (12th gen)i5 16 gig ram with Gigbyte RTX4060

And I too am missing all the features of my Premier package of DS6 and yes, I did log in to my Daz accout with suscess. And still nothing.

Everything work find on my latest version of DS4. Juust not in DS6. I've tried re-installing it a couple of time when first installed on release day. But look like I may wanna hold off on that till thats fixed from the looks of things.

I will confess that I am too lazy to read the whole thread But:

    1. Install Daz Studio 6.25
    2. Go to DIM and make sure the filters are enabled for the 6.25 features (click on the gear symbol on the upper right, and select Install Modules > Public Build and allow 6.25 plugins to be installed)
    3. Search in DIM for "Premier" and install the plug-ins
    4. Open Daz Studio 6.25 and login.  Stay logged in until all the metadata updates. Quit Daz Studio and reopen it. Hopefully now everything is installed and authorized.

  • Dynamic Morphs?

The shape data is not loaded until used, but the property details (slider name, location, and links) are. If you want to have the morphs unavailable until you add them just uninstall/reinstall - reloading the figure after that is going to be needed regardless of how the process is handled.

If a morph from the Daz store that you own but do not have installed is needed for a character, and if DS has it in the CMS database, then it will offer to download and install it when you try to load the character. But that is using Connect to install, which some people wish to avoid, and does require updating metadata.

Suddenly, DIM is no longer connected to the CMS. I restart the PC and the problem seems solved, but after a while, I’m in the same situation again, and it’s impossible to download anything from my library using DIM.

Smart Content in DS4 is behaving strangely with the custom folder where my content is organized: if I click on the root folder, it shows zero products, but there don't seem to be any issues with the subfolders. I have no filters active. In DS6, there is no way to get it to connect to the CMS.

I am working with the general versions of DS4 and DS6 on Windows 11. I previously only had the Autofit issue, which resolved itself, and DS6 was working completely stably. I was updating product metadata without issues, and at some point, the performance deteriorated—first with DIM and then with DS6. I wasn't installing anything with DIM, just trying to download newly acquired content.

In what order should I uninstall DIM, DS4, DS6, and remove the current CMS to start a clean installation from scratch?

Uninstall DS4, DS6 first, then PostgreSQL and finally DIM. When you reinstall DIM and start it, you may get an InstallModule window. If not, you install PostgreSQL first and then DS4 and DS6. Make sure you have the DIM installer.

So I tried using Turbo Loader recently to improve my figure loading speed, and unfortunately, it broke my most-used character preset. Basically, in any scene that I have created that contains that character, one of its most important morphs defaults to 0%. According to the logs, the morph itself is loading, but the morph value is not.

Unfortunately, due to the fact that when loading a scene, morphs are loaded and then poses, I can't just load the broken scene and move the morph sliders back to 100% because it will distort the pose. The only way I have found to keep the exact pose is for me to re-create the broken character preset, load a fresh copy into the scene with the broken figure, and then copy the pose from the broken figure to the one with the correct morph. This will take a huge amount of time by reloading the character into every one of my broken scenes.

I tried resetting all the changes made by Turbo Loader using the "Reset Morph Directory" and "Reset Content Directories" buttons, but this did not resolve the issue.

Edit: Also, I haven't re-saved any of the scenes since the issue appeared in hopes that if I didn't save it, the scenes would still be fixable

Have you searched your HDD for *.tlOff files? That is what TL changes the extension to in order to turn off the morph. Reset Content Directories renames all morphs back to their .dsf extension. If you cannot find any .tlOff files, then the scenes should work as far as what TL did.

I did not find any .tlOff files. Is there maybe a cache or something that I need to refresh/empty after I reset all the morphs to their original state? Also, here are the error lines in the log that may help shine a light on things.

Just to repeat for clarity, the morph itself is loading, but the value of the morph is now missing.

Once the .tlOff files are gone, TL effects are gone. Did you install products lately?

Yes, I have installed products lately. I even reinstalled the JP Sandor character in hopes of fixing the issue, but unfortunately, it didn't solve anything.

You need to look at those products then for the problem. The TL shouldn't be the problem once you reverted everything - I don't see how it could. All it does is rename files and you renamed them back. It's possible that re-installing JP Sandor (perhaps it was updated?) between the original TL rename to tlOff could have hurt its installation, e.g., Sandor Original Morph -> TL Sandor Original Morph.tlOff -> Sandor Updated Morph -> overwritten by Sandor Original Morph? Or maybe you tried to do something with the metadata while Sandor was off and the metadata has locked in the idea that those morphs are missing files, which have now been restored? I am reaching here, but the original TL is not in the equation anymore.

Using Turbo Loader's reset function was something I did before reinstalling JP Sandor, so that shouldn't be a factor either. All I know is that before I used Turbo Loader to optimize my morph collection, everything was working fine, and afterward, the character was broken - even in scenes that I saved months before ever installing Turbo Loader. I've been communicating with support, and I'm trying to find out if I can edit the morph values in the DSON files directly to avoid having to reload the character into every single broken scene. *Sigh* Turbo Loader was a promising product, too. It's a shame that fixing the errors that started with it is going to cost me days of work.

I am sorry you are having difficulty. I wish I could help you.

One last question! After messing around with the Victoria chatbot on the Daz3d website, I found out that what is broken is the controller for the morph. Is that a problem you ever see with Turbo Loader? For example, in this case, JP Sandor HD controls two other morphs: JP Sandor Body and JP Sandor Head. JP Sandor HD being set at 100% should influence those other two morphs to be the same value, but it is leaving them at 0%.

With this product, no. (With my character converters, yes, DS has (or maybe had) a bug where it wouldn't find the dependent morph when I saved the controller property, but that is a different thing). Have you tried editing that controller yourself? If it looks like garbage characters in a text editor, that is just the compression. Use 7-zip to open the file (it is just a zip file) and inside that is the actual file to edit.

  • Clothing Hangers: is the autofit dialog box supposed to open?

    barbult said:

    Lyrra Madril said:

if you use the g8 hanger and load the g8 clothing onto it, it should just click on. I've never had it trigger the autofit dialog. Ditto for g9 clothing on the g9 hanger.

Now if you use g8 clothing on the g9 hanger (or vice versa) it will trigger the conversion. Also, some of the hangers have wholly custom rigging (the pants hangers) or no rigging at all (the prop format hangers). I couldnt figure out a way to smash the clothing flat and get it into the pants hanger to drape, and the prop hangers are there for people who just want props for decor.

The hanger contains the rigging from g9/g8 respectively and it is aligned to the character location so if you use the right combination of clothing and hanger it should just do the thing.  I'm told that smart content mixes it up a little sometimes - so you might want to go to regular content view and make sure you have grabbed the correct hanger(s) for your purpose. When a PA makes a thing, they don't have smart content (which relays on metadata made during the store packing process) so when in doubt look at the actual file folders which are what the creator was using while they built.

I hope that helps clear up some of the issues!

(and sorry for being late to this post .. the search here is um. Challenging)

    LM

Loading from the Content Library doesn't fix any of the issues that I can see. Loading the hanger and clothing from the Content Library still brings up the Autofit dialog. Did you actually test that with the delivered product before suggesting that it would avoid the Autofit dialog?

The worst problem that I continue to see is that the clothing falls through the hanger. I have tried different hangers and different clothing. I have yet to find a combination that works. It's a great idea, but the execution totally fails for me.

In contrast to clothing that falls through hangers, some clothing has a dForce Modifier Weight Node that prevents part of the clothing from simulating. In that case, if the neckline area has dForce mapped out, the garment does not fall to the hanger at all, which is also a problem.

The attached screenshot is "Wood Hanger for G9 DForce Clothing" and the dress from "dForce 2-in-1 Ruffled Maxi Dress for Genesis 9". The hanger was loaded first and the dress was loaded onto the hanger. Then I simulated with default simulation settings. The dress fell through the hanger.

If I am doing something wrong, I will be very happy to receive instruction for how to do it correctly.

Edit: I added a third image to show that the dress and hanger were not intersecting at all before simulation.

I don't think you did anything wrong ~  I could reproduce the issue.

The culprit is that there're some settings of dynamic surfaces partially remained on the hanger for some reason... The hanger shouldn't have been set as a dForce item with dynamic surfaces anyway (or at most set as a dForce item with Static Surfaces... if really needed.)

If you Remove dForce Modifier... from the hanger, the issue will be gone.

  • Clothing Hangers: is the autofit dialog box supposed to open?

  • Clothing Hangers: is the autofit dialog box supposed to open?

As long as the hanger is a Figure but with no proper metadata of Auto-Fit Base assigned, Auto-Fit always popps up when loading wearables on to it.

Either make the hangers as Props or assign correct Auto-Fit Base to the hangers of different Genesis versions when PAs save the Figure Assets ...

Or, simply ignore Auto-Fit dialogue will also do from users' perspective ~~

I've been communicating with support, and I'm trying to find out if I can edit the morph values in the DSON files directly to avoid having to reload the character into every single broken scene. *Sigh* Turbo Loader was a promising product, too. It's a shame that fixing the errors that started with it is going to cost me days of work.

Ah thanks. I was assuming that what Wolfie explained was the same behavior I see with BJ_CameraManager. Make some cameras, click in the Hierarchy pane, then hit 1 or 2. For me the cameras no longer change. Same when Parameters pane is active. Other than that it seems to work anywhere.

I'm still testing in the General Release.

By Hierarchy pane, I am assuming you are referring to the Property Hierarchy pane. Camera switching still works for me when I click in Parameters pane and move some sliders, or click in Property Hierarchy pane and expand the hierarchy and click on a bone. I have tried some other panes, too, and I have not found any situation that prevented BJ Camera Manager camera switching shortcuts (1,2,3. etc) from working.

However, shortcuts for Toggle Iray Preview and Toggle Aux only work if the Viewport is "active". But, I don't have to click in the viewport area where my characters and props are displayed to get the Viewport to be active. I can click on one of the Viewport controls. For example, clicking the Draw Style dropdown or the the Viewport Options menu or the Viewport pane hamburger menu etc. will make the Viewport active without losing my object selection in the Scene pane. I don't have to select anything in those dropdowns or menus, I can just click and then click away. It is not optimum, but at least it doesn't change the selected scene item.

Right yeah clicking on those icons makes the viewport active. But that is good news that you and Richard are not experiencing shortcuts getting disabled on certain panes (although weird that it didn't work for those 2 buttons). That points more towards a bug than a behavior that was desired by Daz devs then. Did either of you import (or rather copy around) user settings from DS4 to DS6? You know, the stuff in \AppData\Roaming\DAZ 3D\Studio4.

I did not copy UI stuff from DS4 to DS6 General Release either.

  • Daz Studio 6 + Diffeomorphic 5.1 + Bforartists Blender fork 5.1.2 works

    Daz Studio version: 6.25.2026.14722

    Diffeomorphic version: 5.1.0

    Bforartists Blender fork version: 5.1.2

    I'm on Windows 11 Professional.

I have successfully installed Diffeomorphic in Daz Studio v6. The extra file menu items installed successfully. I have exported a landscape successfully (ShaaraMuse3D Rusty Blue Rockscape).

Bforartists is a Blender fork that closely tracks Blender but alters the interface. I've just started checking it out. Diffeomorphic installation is as normal and the import worked fine.

I've been exporting my Daz library as a long-term project, but I've been doing the non-figure parts first. I haven't done more than simple test exports in earlier Daz-Diffeomorphic-Blender versions either. So I'm not commenting on the figure exports, particularly. Just noting that the export workflow is working for me, with the new Daz & Diffeo versions and the Bforartists fork.
